Kwentong South Korea (Autumn) 😭😭😭 thru IG Stories

By Tin Gallemaso - 4:20:00 AM

Trees showing us how lovely it is to let things go...

I was putting watermarks on my travel pictures but these photos caught my attention. Well, I got overwhelmed by the amount of photos/backlogs that I can't decide which one to put here first.

These photos are from last year's Autumn trip when we visited Seoul - Jeonju - Busan - Gyeongju - Seoul. I'm missing Korea so bad RN. So bad as in hindi ako makatulog kasi gusto ko kumain ng Korean food.

HAHAHA!

Lakas maka-probinsiya ng Korea? 🀣 I am not sure what's going to happen after all these but it has always been my pleasure to consider South Korea my second home. HAHAHA. Feelingera. If this chapter of my life decides to close its door for me, I'd be able to move on. Kahit mesheket. πŸ™„

We arrived in Incheon at around 6 AM so we were able to take the train to Seoul Station that morning. I am not sure about the time anymore but we left our stuff in a locker at Seoul Station and rode a bullet train to Jeonju.... to eat legit Jeonju bibimbap. lol.

Oh, what a plot twist you are, COVID. Pero kk, it's not like I have a lot to complain about. I'm just thankful that we're safe kahit Matira Matibay Community Quarantine na sa NCR.

Overlooking Jeonju Hanok Village.

It's nice to be able to visit here too but Hanok Villages in Seoul should be fine especially if you're pressed for time. We just wanted to maximize the unlimited bullet train ride that we bought for that trip so we included a lot of cities. Btw, this place is the birthplace of bibimbap so make sure to eat it while you're there.

Jeonju to Seoul was two hours via bullet train. We lost track of time so we weren't able to ride the bullet train back to Seoul. For this, we rode whatever train there was just to get out of Jeonju, we experienced sitting on the floor (older train that runs intercity) but that train was obviously slower than KTX so we had to transfer. We passed by a KTX station and we were able to board one - standing nga lang until Seoul.

I know. I know. Bakit naman kasi Mcdo na naman?! HAHAHA. It was Mcflurry's fault. It has always been Mcflurry's fault that we always eat at Mcdonald's when in Seoul Station. Pag winter strawberry, pag ganito salted caramel. ANUBERRR

We left Seoul at 10 PM and arrived in Busan at 12:30 AM.

We didn't have a proper itinerary. All we know was we're not going to Haeundae when in Busan because according to Murphy's Law, "Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong." HAHAHA. I mean, what are the odds but I just can't visit Haeundae and risk bumping into someone. BUTTTTTT! It was a good thing that we chanced upon a KPOP concert that day and Super Junior was performing so we went to the concert grounds. My friend is a huge Super Junior fan and I like attending concerts so I gladly obliged kahit wala talaga kong masyado kilala.

We were thinking of buying the least expensive ticket on our way there but we ended up buying the most expensive one just because. I mean, compared to how Kpop concerts are priced here in the Philippines, concerts in Korea are really cheap - the tickets that we bought was the one nearest the stage and we bought for 50,000 KRW (around P 2,500)

I didn't know a lot of artists that night but for the experience, I'm glad we were able to attend this. Sobrang saya! I don't know. I just love being outdoors on a chilly autumn night aside from the high that this concert gave us.

We went back to the hotel but first stopped by a streetfood cart selling kimbap and fishcakes. Now that I saw a photo of a kimbap roll, feeling ko kimbap ang kakainin namin mamaya pag gising ko. HAHAHA!

It's easier to channel your inner Kim Bok Joo in Busan than in Seoul. Odeng is way cheaper here. But yeah, mas mahal pa rin pala dahil sa pamasahe. Ghad. Nanghinayang sa 25PHP per stick na price difference pero 'yung pamasahe nasa 3k+ PHP (Seoul to Busan per way ng KTX)? Sino kaya niloko neto? Sino nakatipid?

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Extra challenge pero sobrang saya kumain dyan. Daig pa nasa five star hotel tapos beachfront.

This is a South Korean delicacy called San-nakji. μ‚°λ‚™μ§€. San means alive while nakji means octopus.

I've always been curious about how eating this feels like and so when we were walking down the steep stairs of Taejongdae, we gathered enough courage to try eating it. As in legit, the tentacle still wriggles while inside your mouth.

Sobrang galing ko mag-describe ng lasa, diba? Hahaha!

Kasi naman, lahat ata ng nakakita nito sa Story or My Day ko e pinandirihan kami. Pake ba? Di naman sila 'yung kumain, di naman sila 'yung nagbayad kaya di naman sila 'yung nawalan. Ako ngang nawalan, 'di nagreklamo eh. Enjoy lang habang andyan. Experience naman. 🀷🏻‍♀️

Had I known that my Japan 2020 will be cancelled, I wouldn't have bothered buying a new pair. Tinawag lang ako nung shoes sa shelf. :(( HAHAHA! Sale ako... ako 'yung matagal mo ng gusto.... HAHAHAHA. Rupok din. Bumili talaga.

Haaay. I'm just so grateful I have all of these experiences to write about. HAAAAAAAAY. HAHAHAHA. Di rin kasi pwede ngayon mag byahe so bawas pagka-miss sa aking home away from home. πŸ‡°πŸ‡·πŸ‡°πŸ‡·πŸ‡°πŸ‡·

Shooting location/Outdoor museum of my forever favorite Korean drama

Namil Bar, Busan

HAHAHA. Patawa-tawa lang 'yan pero putek, I feel so unsafe. πŸ₯ΊπŸ₯ΊπŸ₯Ί

To my defense, I was eyeing this shoes since New York. HAHA! I don't know - I like everything/anything Cherry Blossoms and this collab pair with Arizona is a limited edition. Alam ko, okay. Dalawa lang naman paa ko. Di na ko bibili. Wala naman na kong pupuntahan din.

SAKLAP.
BAKIT BA KO NALULUNGKOT?!
BUHAY KO BA 'YON?!
OO, DIBA.
BUHAY KO 'YON! HAHAHAHA. -_-

I've been wanting to buy a Busan tumbler since 2018 but never had the chance. I like the design of the 2019 tumbler so I gave in. You know what, the funny thing about this trip was we were able to reduce the daily expenses a lot that we weren't able to spend all our KRW pocket money which was 150,000 KRW (around 7,000 PHP) but we used our card... and shopped. -_-

Anyway, the tumbler came with a free drink kaya okay na rin. </3

My eyes search for you everywhere, oppa!!!!

Next city was Gyeongju.

We went here because of the Buddhist Temple - Bulguksa. Buddhist temples are one of my favorite places to go to whenever I travel to other countries. It would be much better if you can stay there for a couple of days since there are a lot of places to see. We needed to be back in Seoul the same day so we didn't have the time to visit other places of interest. Upon writing this, I think I haven't posted about all the temples I visited in Thailand before. Hanapin ko na lang pictures from there and I might post them soon as well.

I was a bit heartbroken since there weren't a lot of fall foliage in the previous cities that we visited but good thing, there were a lot in Gyeongju.

MATCHA FOREVER!!!!!!!! <3

I saw this being sold in Landmark Groceries in case you're wondering where to purchase one in Manila.

So sad seeing photos of Myeongdong that looked like a a ghost town especially when you're used to seeing it filled with people.

This PSJ advertisement has been here for like three years now and since this is in Seoul Station where I usually "live" when in Seoul, I would always look forward to passing through this PSJ area. lol HAHAHA!

Kainis. Basag trip. HAHA.

Buti talaga nakalusot 'yung Seoul 2020 before all this COVID situation. HAAAAAAAAAY. But in all seriousness, Seoul felt weird because of the leaves. Seoul was winter and Busan was autumn so there. Di ako nasanay sa bright Seoul. 🍁🍁🍁

I've been seeing this market in Instagram where you are to use these coins in purchasing your food. It was fun and it's definitely something I'd love to do again because of the price. HAHAHA! It's rare that you find decent food for 5,000 when in Seoul.

All of this for 5,000 KRW or P 250.00... not bad. There are a lot of options available in the market but yeah, I need my tteokbokki and Korean chicken fix.

“The sunset is life’s way of saying “Good job, you survived today, here’s something pretty.”

Time check: 4:20 AM.
May 31, 2020.

MAY OUR STRONG BE ENOUGH TO ENDURE ALL OF THIS MADNESS.

I hope you're safe in this pandemic.
God bless.
