This is my second and definitely not the last time going here at the Miraculous Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu. 1-2 hours drive away from Metro Cebu, pa-South.

Compared to the first time I saw it in 2009, it now looks like a castle more than a church.
Someday! Makakasama rin ako sa isang pilgrimage to Holy Land or Europe. Kakayanin ko 'yan financially. Huhuhaha!! Claim lang ng claim pa rin! Ayoko isipin na impossible. :))))
We arrived there a bit past noon, a little late for the mass but attended nonetheless. I didn't understand a word though since it was conducted in Cebuano but it's nice to once in a while attend a mass held in a different language.

MASS SCHEDULE:
Sunday – 12:00 nn and 3:30 pm
Monday to Friday – 12:00 nn
Saturday – 10:30 am
13th of the month (I think this is a healing mass) – 10:30 am & 3:30 pm
Upon seeing these letters of thanksgiving for their "miracles".

I kind of asked, "Bakit ako, wala?"

Then I saw my reflection in the glass and that's it - that moment was my miracle. Aside from being able to go back there, ayun na ako oh. Malabo pa man pero may direksyon na. Matatagalan pa man pero I'm on my way. 'Yun naman 'yung dinadasal ko dati lagi eh. Oy, pero walang emote emote 'yun ah hindi tipong, who is that girl I see staring straight back at meeee.

AT

It's my miracle to be back there after 5 years with the people I've been wanting to show the world to.

It's my miracle that I've been to many places and experienced many things. I'm not rich so funding my lakwatsas is definitely a challenge. Again, it's my miracle that I am able to make this work.

It's my miracle that I've gone through a lot of challenges and yet after everything, I'm still standing strong - stronger than ever that is.

Ikaw? Ano 'yung mga daily miracles mo? :)

I'm happy for everyone who've given and showed proof of their life's miracles by writing letters/leaving their wheel chairs which are currently on display at the shrine but more than that, I'm happy for myself because even if I forget sometimes, I've long realized that my life is my miracle and I'm consistently thanking God for this.

 "E
very moment of our lives is a miracle."
This place is perfect for everyone especially for Marians because the shrine have a lot of Mama Mary images displayed in the second floor of the church.
Until next time, Simala Shrine!!!

Ayun eh. Ako na rich kid. HAHAHAHAHA. Jk lang pero malay naman natin!! :))

More Photos from Boljoon Church link: here.

We headed to Boljoon Church after swimming with the whale sharks.

I kept on pronouncing this as BOL-JUNE but I learned that it should be pronounced as BOL-HO-ON.

Boljoon Church is also known as the Our Lady of Patronage of Mama Mary and was built in the 18th century
This is one of the oldest church in the Philippines.
Ang ganda sa Boljoon!

Seaside sa kabila then mountain range 'yung sa kabila. I heard that there's more to visit in this town in term of heritage tourism but we had to leave to go to Simala.

I looked for an affordable yet decent Pension House in Cebu and found the website of Robe's Pension House. Almost all online reviews I read said that it was okay to stay here so I decided to book our rooms.
For a triple sharing deluxe room (P 900.00/night), we got a basic room for our basic needs.

What basic needs?

Clean comfort room and heated shower
Towels
Decent bed
Cable TV (Not flatscreen but works fine. Hindi rin naman kami nanood)
Free Wi-fi
LOCATION: 41R Landon St., Cebu City Philippines
(Corner Don Pedro Cui Street)

You should book early especially if you're travelling on a peak season because they currently have no elevators. :))
From Robe's Pension house, we walked and rode a jeepney to Larsian sa Fuente where we had our dinner.

It's like a compound of barbecue stalls. Dun kami kumain sa pinaka-una, right pagkapasok ng gate.
Ito 'yung rice nila dun, locally known as puso or hanging rice in English kasi nakasabit.
This just made the whole eating fun and interesting.
Even if we stayed here for more than an hour, we didn't smell like smoke as we left because the grills were placed in the center part and the roof of the grilling area sucks the smoke up.
HUHUHUHU. I miss.

The original cross which is encased in this cross was planted by Magellan in 1521 when a lot of Filipinos were baptized to Christianity.

The painting depicts the arrival of Magellan in Cebu and the planting of the original cross.
Up until this day, Magellan Cross remains to be one of the most famous tourists spots in the Queen City of the South.

There are women dresed in yellow who sold us candles. In return, she
danced the sinulog dance (two steps forward, once step back) waving the candles while offering a song of prayer.
Walking distance from the Magellan's cross is Basilica del Santo Nino. This is the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. It is now re-opened to the public but the damage caused by the 2013 earthquake is still evident.
I LOVE CEBU. <3

Kerch is a (conyo-ish) variation of the gay lingo, "keri" meaning kaya/can. I don't even know if keri is still considered only a gay lingo when I've heard people of all gender and/or sexuality use it in their everyday conversations.

Anyway, Kerch na kerch ka March!! Kayang-kaya!! Ako pa ba?!

February 2015 was a tough month for me but I survived.

I always try to be grateful for everything that happens but when times get rough, it's hard to continuously show gratitude when you're looking for the reasons why not-so-good things happen, isn't it? It's easy to love a lovable person. It's easy to be thankful for the good times. It's easy to say we're blessed when things go our way. But what if your current situation is the other way around? Let's say that you're only experiencing hardships plus the tiring people you have no choice but to face everyday make the whole thing even harder. Laslas na ba?! Syempre, hindi. Nakakapagod lang talaga. Pahinga. Hanap inspirasyon. Laban ulit. Bakit? Kasi mas masarap pa rin mabuhay. :))

Hayyyyyyyy. I felt tired and uninspired these past few days that even if I was able to laugh for countless of times, at the end of the day, it was unhappiness that kept me company.
Then we went to Regina Rosarii in Tanay, Rizal to celebrate the first Sunday Mass and to have my much-awaited escape.

"Pag napagod na kayo sa ingay sa baba, akyat lang kayo dito." which made me miss mountain climbing a lot. I know the priest wasn't referring to trekking when he said akyat but akyat to Regina Rica/ Mama Mary on top of the hill but I am somehow having a separation anxiety with the mountains.

I miss the hardship and the tiredness I experience whenever I climbed mountains. I miss the feeling of relief and accomplishment the moment I set foot on the mountain's summit. I miss the body ache because physical pain is better than emotional pain. A tired body is better than a tired heart and soul.

"If you're tired and weary, seek the Lord and He will give you rest and will recharge your faith and spirit."

I was reminded that God can continuously supply me with strength if I would just reach out to Him. Mas okay na sa feeling ngayon. Hindi na 'ko binabalik-balikan ni loneliness. Tignan mo nga. Nakaka-blog na ulit ako. :))))
Soon. Aakyat.
Soon. Aalis.
Soon. Soon.

Let's count our blessings not our problems.

Surprise us, March!!!!!
God bless us. :)
