Gundam Factory in Yokohama is closing on March 31, 2024. Quite a sad news for Gundam fans who are looking forward to visiting this place but there are still a lot of Gundam around Japan. I knew there's one in Fukuoka and one in Odaiba although I haven't seen both.

When we went to Yokohama, we purchased Tokyu Line Pass 'cause we wanted to visit Setagaya as well.
Klook Link: Purchase Tokyu Line 1-Day Pass here.
This can be used going to Yokohama. It's cheaper than availing a per way ticket plus we were able to visit Gotokuji Temple on the same day since Setagaya Line is a part of this pass.

Before going to Gundam Factory, I advise that you first check the show schedule and work your way around it.
This is the schedule when we went there.
I felt that we weren't able to maximize our stay because of time constraints but it was better than nothing. We really wanted the Make Your Own Cup Noodles so we had to compromise.

I don't know anything about Gundam aside from how it looks so walking around this gallery and reading the information was quite nice to get at least a preview, you know. Since it was summer, this airconditioned area was a savior as well.
Picture ng picture kahit nasa labas na 'yung totoo. HAHAHA
Looking at the photos now and how that area was cloudless, I'd really have to applaud ourselves who braved the heat of a Japan travel during summer. It was insane.
I wore that long sleeves on top of a cotton sleeveless top thinking that it should feel fresher and more comfortable since I'd have the sleeves to protect me from sunlight but nah, it wasn't the best idea 'cause the cloth of that polo shirt was quite thick and not breathable at all.
Aside from the viewing area, there's a cafe/restaurant inside but there were too many people that time so we didn't enter. There's also a store selling several Gundam items but we didn't enter there as well since we weren't buying anything. However, a friend told me that there are Gundam Factory exclusive Gundams that you can buy there.
Prices are different if you want to access those ledges and view the Gundam up close.
We opted to stay and sit at the shaded staircase during the show because it was so hot. The water they spread on the floor and the mist are needed to survive Japan summer. No wonder there are temporary fountains, water mists, and the like in most places. Two misted places that I found remarkable because they were like our saviors (lol) were the ones in Hie Shine and those in the waiting sheds of Ginza.
It was breathtaking to see this big robot in motion. Can't help but imagine how a Gundam fan would feel seeing this in person because I, who didn't have an idea, felt so amazed.
That Yokohama Tower offers a viewing area to travelers as well. We just didn't have enough time for it.
Rode this bus that took us to the red brick building. From there, we had to walk quite a bit to get back to the Nissin Noodle Factory which I'll be posting soon.
