I was invited to attend an event here at Super Duck Modern Tea in SM Cyberwest and I gladly said yes. I went not only because it is near (West Avenue, Quezon City) but because I was curious as to how they'd stand out from their competitors.

Remember that time when milk teas were the in thing that milk tea shops were mushrooming everywhere? I do. I do because I went out of my way several times just to buy one. I do because my friends and I went all the way to Greenhills, Ortigas, Makati and Tagaytay just to look for more milk tea shops but that obviously stopped because it wasn't interesting anymore.

Since I've been to a lot, I thought I've seen everything that a milk tea shop can offer but Super Duck proved me wrong. Their offerings are delicious, new, healthy and it felt like this isn't anymore about the hype but something that's here to stay.

1. Super Duck Modern Tea uses cane sugar to sweeten their drinks. Cane sugar is a healthier alternative to table sugar because of its antioxidant contents and its low glycemic index. No worries that your blood sugar level will spike after drinking.

2. They only serve authentic Taiwanese Tea.

3. They use fresh fruits/purèe in their drinks.

4. The prices of their drinks are affordable yet product quality isn't sacrificed.

5. They care a lot about their customer's well-being. It was mentioned that they purify the water they use and that they are also the one making their ice.

Siguradong malinis at top quality 'yung drinks na maiinom mo.

6. ANG DAMING OPTIONS. AS IN. DRINKS FOR EVERYONE. Categories are Fresh Flavor Tea, Milk Tea Series, Juices, Yakult Series, Fruitty Milk Tea, Fruit Tea, Smoothies, Premium Milk Tea, Mellow Milk, Nai Kai Series and Unique Blends. Complete Menu link: here.

Ang dami that you might feel a bit overwhelmed when you look at the options but it's also a good thing 'cause you'd be sure that you'd have a drink that would suit you. Don't hesitate to ask for their suggestions!
I was lucky to have tasted most of their drinks.

The one in this picture Passion Fruit Perilla (P 75.00 and P 85.00). Notice again that the price of the drink is affordable, pwedeng pwede na for a healthier you, diba?
Some of their Quackers/Snacks

Vegetarian and Halal 'tong mga 'to.

Calamares, Nuggets, Fries and Hotdog. They're all good!
I was busy taking pictures when they said that the quackers are all made from veggie meat so I didn't know it when I first had my bite of this cheesedog. This didn't taste like veggie meat at all. Super like!
This is the first time that I liked drinking wintermelon milk tea. Sa dinami-rami ng milk tea shops na napuntahan ko na, first time ko lang magustuhan ang wintermelon.

'Yang may froth sa taas was wintermelon nai kai (P 95.00 and P 105.00). Alam niyo naman, I am not good at describing the taste but I liked this a lot.
We were also able to taste their Carbonara and Pesto Pasta. Okay din.
This was the tumbler give-away and the Bailey's Milk Tea that I took home.
Thank you Steve and Dennis for having us.

Uyyy, ito pa!

First time mag-try at di ko rin alam na may ganitong #drinks pero bet.👍 Try @superducktea at SM Cyberwest. #baileys #kahlua #heineken #milktea #liquor #foodporn

I was surprised because of their cocktail drinks: Heineken Green Tea, Bacardi Cider Juice Pop (not in the picture), Almond Kahlua Milk, Bailey's Milk Tea.

I am not into drinking liquor (anymore hahaha uyy anymore daw oh) but I liked these drinks especially the Bailey's Milk Tea.

Zoobic Safari is under the same group as Tagaytay's Residence Inn and Paradizoo. Even if I've already gone to the two, I was still looking forward to going here mainly because of the tiger safari ride.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and footwear when you're going here.

Here is the map of the zoo.
We waited for a bit here at the reception area.
Zoobic Safari guided tour lasts for around two hours. The zoo is huge so a tour guide is really needed plus visitors would also learn more that way.
You'll see a lot of signs like this is the zoo. It was so pun reading them all.
I've seen tigers in several zoos before but they're all caged and felt tamed but being able to experience this ride somehow scared me. I hope they are not starving these tigers just to elicit that kind of feeding behavior. 'Cause one thing I noticed is that tigers here in the tram ride are way thinner than those caged tigers from the close encounter.

Anyway, this tram ride is the highlight of the tour and the most memorable part for me.
Just like our finger prints, it's impossible for them too to have similar prints.
We were shown dances performed by our Aeta brothers.
They aren't waiting for food. The reason why crocodiles often have their mouth open while sleeping or resting is to let the heat out. Crocodiles have no sweat glands so opening their mouth while at rest is a way to thermoregulate.
Here is Zoobic Safari's current rates.

There is definitely a lot more to see than what I've included here. I just posted pictures of the tour highlights for me.
This is one of the cages from the close encounter area where we also got scared.

One tiger was roaring so loud at the tiger caged beside it because it didn't eat all the food. Sinasabi siguro nung tiger, "Kainin mo 'yaaaaaaaaaaan!!!"

Here's an instagram video I posted. I recorded the video while on the tram ride.

Kastress ng very very light. Init ng ulo nung isa parang si --------------- lang pag gutom. 😂 #zoobic #safari #tiger #roar #siyemprediako 🐯 #wild #pet hahaha

I cut my hair last month. I now look like this if I want to.

Take note: If I want to. :)))) Medyo may daya kasi 'yan. Hindi lahat maikli ngayon unlike when I first cut my hair short last 2013.

Malayo para mukhang sexy. hahaha!

Bakit nga ba Soon, June, Soon?

If there's one thing I realized last month, it is that I am finding it easier to let something/someone go these days and my mind is having a conflict whether it is a good or a bad thing.

Delikado pala pag sinama mo 'yung HOPE saka 'yung WANT kasi that means that you're hopeful that the best is yet to come and you won't anymore settle for something that you don't like.

When you finally understand that it's all about you and not them, di ka na papayag na basta na lang tapunan ng emotional basura (expectations, frustrations etc.) ng ibang tao. If it's weighing you down, let go.

When you realize that it's normal to want something but it's not normal to be desperate. You'll make an effort to have that "something" but still, you have a life. If you're not desperate, you won't set conditions on your happiness.  Gusto mo lang eh kaya you're somehow detached. Pag andyan edi andyan.

Soon. Sabi nga,
"You don't have to force something that's truly meant to be." Darating din 'yung tamang oras. Hehehe.

My prayer is that matutunan kong ma-recognize kung alin ba talaga 'yung mga essentials, mga kung ano na dapat kong hawakan hanggang dulo at ang pinaka-importante sa lahat e maramdaman ko kung kelan ba 'yung tamang oras. Lord, I need more wisdom. hehehehe. Arti.
#Thought for the day.👍 Dun tayo sa hindi blurred, mas madali i-achieve. 😂☝🌹 #quote #happiness #gratitude 💕

I've gone to another hotspring in Pansol, Laguna but this time, it was an overnight swimming and I was with my friends.

My first time in Laguna Hotspring since 1946 link: here.

Unlike my previous post, there isn't much to say about Villa Kitane so I'd rather show you the pictures I took there.
Hot night, hot water... hot ako? 😂😂😂 ♨ Night swimming.💗 Ay, morning na. #hotspring #pool

This was our room. 2 bunk beds and 1 pull out bed.

It was an okay room but we had two problems with it.

1. They did not provide blankets.
2. 'Yung aircon namin, nasa bandang baba kaya hindi naka-circulate 'yung lamig. Akala ko naman mahina lang 'yung aircon, only to find out when we were exchanging stories in the morning na 'yung mga nasa baba e hindi rin naman masyadong nakatulog kasi sobrang lamig naman pero hindi nila mapatay 'yung aircon dahil sobrang maiinitan naman kaming nasa taas.
No water heater but it's fine.

Unlike the other hotspring that I went to, walang stones and fishes dito at okay talaga aesthetics wise.

Good morning, Mt. Makiling!!!

I don't know what the rates are kasi hati-hati na 'yung binayaran namin.

And... you can find them on facebook because I don't have their contact number. :)

“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.”

Before we left, I was not sure if it was the right decision to join a Medical Mission to Leyte when: 1.) It was Ilocos ver. 2.0 that I was looking forward to. 2.) I only know two persons in the group. 3.) I am not a healthcare professional.

But so as not to confuse the universe because this year's hashtags are #explore2015 and #othersbeforeself2015, Leyte it is.

Arrival link: here.
Afternoon Medical Mission link: here.
Whole Day Medical Mission link: here.
Kalanggaman Island and Sandbar link: here.

This was my second fly out for 2015. I have some (some kasi baka may madagdag pa) more so keribells. Make it work nga, diba. Hahaha.

MY TOP 5 MOMENTS IN LEYTE:

1. No internet. Pero pag wala, we're forced to be in the moment and actually try to get to know the people we're with. On our second night, we gathered outside the house and shared stories. To tell you, we even got thrilled while watching lizards plan on how they'd attack a praying mantis. Also, I'm thankful for the people I went there with. Kasi kahit dun lang nila ko nakilala, they were all accommodating.

2. Fiesta. Hindi talaga celebration ng fiesta but we never ran out of food. I was really touched but how the locals treated us. It was the first time to experience such thing. Lahat nang 'yon for free eh kaya lalong woah.

3. Water. The house we were staying at did not have its own water supply. Pinagi-igib pa kami para may magamit lang but since we were more than ten, nakakahiya magpa-igib ng tubig kaya problema kung pano kami maliligo but on our first night, may nag-offer na dun na lang kami maligo sa bahay nila since they have their own water pump. On our second night, nakiligo kami dun kay Ate na namalengke ng nakapang-simba mapaghanda lang kami ng marami. We were strangers but they treated us as if we were friends who've known each other for years. Kapag kulang ka a lot of people would be there to help you at times but it's still better to find solution on your own. 'Cause on our third day, we bathed at the water source. Sarap maligo. Masagana sa malamig tubig. Fresh. Hahaha. #ansabe

4. Language Barrier. I felt ashamed. I can converse in English because English is still my second language kahit ganito lang level ng English ko. HAHA! I can somehow converse in Korean and I am a level 2 basic TOPIK passer. I can introduce myself and count from 1 to 100 in French, Spanish and Japanese (Sino-Japanese). #yabangkainis HAHA! But in all seriousness, I felt ashamed not knowing any Philippine language apart from Tagalog. I've been to a lot of provinces but in all those places, Tagalog-speaking persons abound or so I thought. I forgot to take into consideration that in all those provinces, I was a tourist who only went to famous tourist attractions and that's the reason why conversing wasn't a big problem - marami sa mga taong nagt-trabaho doon sa mga lugar na 'yun ay bi-lingual o multi-lingual din.

 "Tagalog lang."
"Ah galing pala kayo ng Manila."

"Tagalog lang."
"......."
Wala.

Pero alam mo 'yon, one thing I noticed is that during the priest's homily, I didn't  know every word he used but I somehow managed to understand what he was talking about by picking up the familiar words and applying context clues.
I also want to adjust to the locals as much as they are adjusting to me.

5. Quotes.
"There is always something to be thankful for."
"Whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath and trust in God."
"The traveler sees what he sees, the tourist sees what he has come to see."
"The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."

I have stopped telling myself that I am lost. I am on my way and I am enjoying my journey now more than ever even if I do not have a definite destination yet. I have learned to be grateful and to stop worrying even if I feel that I am not good enough or I am not suitable for something. I have learned to do things for others without expecting something in return.

Last but not the least, I am convinced, that in this lifetime, I am not only destined to go places but I am also made to influence and share stories with others. Kaya nga nagb-blog ako eh. Charot. HAHAHAHA! Pero uyyyy, universe sige na please! Marami pa please!! Paka-Dora the Explorer forevs please. Haay, funds. Ginusto ko 'to eh.

I'll be forever thankful for the three days I spent in Leyte because they proved something... possible pala. Kahit anong gustuhin natin, pwedeng mangyari. Naniniwala ka ba???? Hehe. OO YAN! GO. PUSH. KERI! :)
