Having a maskne (acne) breakout in my chin area again since I've been going out frequently the past several days. My hair is always up in a bun so no curls for me as well. Behind the mask are several acne and acne scars. hahaha. Pero keri lang. This, too, shall pass. 😂

I don't know what else I'm supposed to do to lessen the allergic reaction I get from wearing facemasks. I bought this thinking that it might help make the healing of active acnes and lightening of scars fast. Searched Reddit and Instagram for reviews but there aren't a lot yet, still gave this a chance because I'm kinda desperate. Hahahaha!

I've only been using this for two weeks.
Hopefully, I'll be able to update this post once I've emptied the bottle. For the first week, I used this every other day and decided to use it daily only when I was convinced that I'm not going to have negative reaction to it.
Current Skincare Routine and Products Used - in this post, I mentioned that I'd like to try The Ordinary's Niacinamide but it's beyond my current budget so I searched for a dupe and found this. The price is not that steep. This retails at P 289.00 but I bought this on sale at around P 250.00 for a 30 ML bottle from RRKoreanshop1 in Shopee. I haven't tried other Niacinamide serums so I have nothing to compare this with.
This serum is a part of my Day Routine:
Cleanser
Toner (this is not a necessary step according to some but I like it in mine)
Derma Natufian's Niacinamide Serum
Moisturizer
Sunscreen
The serum looks cloudy and smells a bit like glue when spread on the face. The smell fades as soon as the product dries.
- The texture is runny but definitely more viscous than water.
- It doesn't sting even if I put it over an active acne.
- Spreads easily and a little goes a long way but you have to spread it fast.
- I need to pat in on my face for a minute before applying my moisturizer since it's a bit sticky when on the process of drying but dries as if you didn't apply any serum on your face.
Runny siya pag labas sa dropper tapos nagiging malagkit ng kaunti initially kapag nilagay sa mukha pero kapag natuyo naman, parang wala kang nilagay sa mukha mo. Gets? Gets? HAHA! Hirap na hirap ako magpaliwanag eh.
How I apply: I drop some product on my palm and I use the pads of my ring and middle fingers to apply it on my face and neck.
- I'm still unsure if it's helping to lighten acne marks but I'm going to continue using it and will update this post once I notice changes. Hindi kasi masyadong obvious sa pictures pero may pimple marks sa cheeks and sa chin.
- What I currently like the most about this is it helps regulate the sebum production on my face. I don't apply powder when wearing a facemask but that leaves me with an oily skin especially on humid days. I noticed that since I started to apply this, my face has always been less oily. Hoping that even if I perspire and the facemask traps the moisture and humidity in, hindi na masyado maka-trigger ng acne. 🤦🏻♀️
Itsurang satin masks na nga gamit ko lagi pero bakit may negative reaction pa rin? HAHAHA. Di ko na po maintindihannnnnnnn kaya tinanggap ko na lang. Everytime lalabas ako especially 'yung matagal naka-facemask tapos ang init pa, huhulaan ko na lang kung ilang acne o whiteheads 'yung tutubo sa mukha ko kinabukasan. Kk. Dami problema 😂

The right side of my hair is not as curly as before and there are days when it's straight. I think it's because putting it in a bun on most days stretches the curl pattern but yeah, I've accepted na mas topakin pa rin buhok ko kesa sa'kin. HAHAHA!
Kung ang ending nitong CGM journey e balik ako sa straight hair pala talaga, hahaha, edi go.
