It's a Wrap for 2015!

Today's the last day of 2015 and I'm not prepared at all. Kabigla na 2016 na bukas. Sweet 16!!

Sobrang bilis plssss! I've been complaining more about how times flies, noh? I am not sure if you're feeling the same way but even if, it's not like we can do anything about it. HAHAHA. Ge.

Nga pala, fault 'to ng BayanTel bakit hindi ako nakapost kahit may idle times ako after ng Pasko. :( Pawala-wala kasi internet connection namin.

I chose 15 pictures that is related to the caption I thought of or better, I chose 15 pictures and thought of captions. K. Gulo ko forevs.

Medical Mission
April 2015

This year's greatest regret lesson learned made a chance for me to join a medical mission plus a day tour of  Kalanggaman Island and Sandbar in Leyte.

Now that I am writing this, totoo ba?! aarte pa ba?! Hehe.
Medical Mission
April 2015

And it has also allowed me to bring joy to other people because of my presence. Char! Pero I would love to make myself believe that it was because I stayed that they had a chance to experience something new and be happy. Afterall, what I wanted to do this year was for it to be more of others and less of me. So ano pa di ba? I made that come true.

When it dawned on me that it was really gone (IT ah, hindi HIM), regret was all I was feeling then eventually (buti naman!) I've accepted that it's something that I can't change. So next time, if ever the similar circumstance happen or something bigger, I'll seize it. I hope for courage so I can take greater risks and for continuous belief that the odds will always be in my favor.

It also helped a lot that I read this quote from Joel Osteen that said, "Sometimes you have to thank God for what didn't happen. Thank Him for the things He's stopped that you knew nothing about." Alam ko naman na mae-experience 'yung essence ng kung ano man 'yon someday, hindi lang talaga siguro para sa'kin this year.

I can't tell you what is it for now but I soon will.. hopefully during my wrapping up post for 2016, kaya ko na sabihin.
Danjugan Island
June 2015

Last year, I climbed mountains and hills. This year, I swam at rivers and seas.

Most of my adventures this year were water related.

Swimming, Snorkeling, Island Hopping, Kayaking etc.
Danjugan Island
June 2015

From swimming with this school of small fishes in Danjugan to the gentle giant of Oslob, keri.

From swimming in a cold and fresh water from a waterfalls to the salty sea water, keri.

From the blue tiled pools to the white sand beaches, keri.

More?????? Keri. :)))
El Nido
July 2015

In the midst of all these, I made another goal for myself. Hehe!

Sabi ni Ninong Fitzgerald, "I'm not sure what I'll do, but - well, I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow, want to live where things happen on a big scale."

Although this isn't something new because I've mentioned this for a lot of times before that my ultimate passion is going places. I think one of the best things that happened this year is finally knowing or having an idea on how I'm making this happen. Not soon as in soon next year but someday in its perfect time, I shall. Basta, the most important thing for now is may titignan akong gusto kong gawin.

"Place your desires before God. Pray about them and trust God to give them to you if and when they're right for you."

October 2015

Although I'm used to going out alone, I have few experiences of eating alone. I'd rather starve or eat something while walking but not in a sit down restaurant nor in fastfood chain. Hindi pa rin ako nakakain ng rice meal mag-isa sa labas until now so challenge 'yan for the coming year.

This doesn't sound like a big deal for others but it is for me. Never talaga ko nasanay but next year dapat masanay na 'ko. Travel alone, eat alone, watch movie goals ganyan. Sana by next year, I'll be more comfortable in being alone. Yup, alone but not lonely. :D

Pansin mo ba 'yung core motivation ko?! Ikr. Pagbigyan na. HAHAHA.
Grateful for the gift of new skill.

I attended baking classes and I am now able to bake cakes, cookies and cupcakes!! YES!!!!

Will definitely improve my baking skills! Although I prefer cooking more, iba pa rin 'yung skills sa baking na dapat precise at exact lagi para hindi pumalpak. Nasanay kasi sa pagluluto na kaya naman gawan ng paraan most of the times pag hindi okay 'yun lasa. Matinding mise en place ang ginagawa ko pag baking which is so not me when cooking. haha!

I saw a lot of new places but I also revisted a lot this year and I'm happy I did. There are a lot of new things to learn. hehe.

"The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust

Pero sinama ko 'to in hopes that we'll be able to elect a president who genuinely wants the best for the country. I'm sure that there's hope for us, hindi ko nga lang alam kung paano pero sana talaga, mas umayos na.

October 2015

The bridge was never burned but it wasn't something that I crossed as often as I used to. I am happy that even if I suck at being that friend who's always (physically) there, I was able to rekindle the friendship I had with my loves. I am glad that even if the contact was somewhat lost for months and even years for some, our friendship bonds were able to survive on their own. Parang walang lumipas na panahon... :)

Here's to letting go of toxic relationships and holding on to significant ones.
Here's to treasuring more the gift of old and new friendships.

October 2015

2015 gave birth to the kikay moi.

This is something I found truly fascinating. :) Who would've thought talaga.

I can't go out without wearing lipstick these days. As in seryoso 'to, the more papansin, the more I like. Sobrang layo na ng narating ko from that girl who chose to apply petroleum jelly rather than buying a decent lip balm. Hahaha! From that girl who learned to apply powder because her guy friend would get mad at her saying, "Sinong babae ang walang powder sa bag? Retouch? Walang ganun!?"

I'm learning. I will try to learn more about the powers of creams, serums and the likes. I will try to make more posts about them. Nak ng! Beauty blogger ang peg. HAHAHAHA!
I have no picture I can post about our Parish Renewal Experience so I am posting this as a symbol of rebirth and because I made my tree planting wish come true even if I'm uncertain that this survived in Sierra Madre.

One thing I realized that weekend is how important it is to pray for others and to have a prayer buddy. I had let go of a lot of baggage I kept to myself and it was a miraculous feeling.

Full experience and feels: here.

Ito na muna siguro 'yung ministry ko, blogging ministry as in sharing His word through the internet kasi hindi ako makasali ng ministry sa church namin.  Kainis! Haha!

Should you want to join a Parish Renewal Experience and you can go at Tandang Sora, Quezon City, we'll have another class in February 2016.

My last out-of-town for this year is in a place that has become so special to me - Infanta/Real, Quezon. I'll be blogging about my three days there but for the meantime, here it is!

My hardest trek ever that reminded me that no matter how hard something becomes, tuloy lang 'cause eventually I'll get there. Bumaba kami from that mountain for 2 1/2 hours, 'yung peak sa middle then umakyat ulit in just an hour to think na mas mahirap at mas challenging umakyat.

Hahaha! Buti nakahabol pa ng isang bundok before 2015 ends.

More bundok for me next year!!
I had my hair rebonded and cut short.

I think shorter than my hair in the picture I posted below. It was an impulsive decision and kind of regretted having my long hair cut especially now that I have a rounder face because I got chubbier. Chubbier lang. Balik alindog program next year, mga boys and girls. Hahaha!

Pero since new year means new life, edi 'yan embrace ko na my short hair kahit nagmukha ako lalong siopao.

Nga pala, I bought a book entitled "I've Never Been to Vegas but My Luggage Has" and that was the book I read when my hair was being rebonded. From there I am quoting, "Your life, your path, your journey - it isn't going to look like everyone else's."

I am God-approved and I'm claiming it! See you next year, Las Vegas! I will go to Vegas without my (emotional) baggage but with my luggage and courage. EDI WOWWWWWW. :))))))
A major change happened to this blog because from which served as my URL since this blog's birth in 2012, I bought my own domain and this is now

I love how this became CelebraTINg ExisTENce tas iniwan ko 'yung araw-araw sa baba, parang unintentionally naging ito 'yung gusto kong maging na hindi ko lang ma-put to words. Gets hahahaha. Next post will be about that basta, here's to more adventures and milestones na mae-experience ko na ish-share ko dito.

Pag iniisip ko, meant to be siguro talaga na I came up with the idea of signing up for a blog in New Year's day of 2012 kasi ang laking part na 'to ng buhay ngayon. Malayo na rin from how this used to be and from how I wanted it to be na walang pictures ko and name ko. Ngayon, naka-link na 'to sa Instagram and Twitter accounts ko so yey for that! May improvement. Ge. Next year is another chance... :))

Also, it's worth mentioning that it wasn't my goal to meet people and to attend events when I made this blog and those are the reasons why I declined a lot of invitations to blog events/anything blog related until May this year when I decided to join one.
This was taken at Urban Eats in Congressional Avenue Extension. I'll blog about them real soon talaga as in tomorrow na.

"No Strangers, Only Friends We Haven't Met"

Sobrang fitting niyan because I met a lot of bloggers this year since I've started attending blog events. Thank you, Aldous! Ready na for more ganap next year. At!! Bet ko 'yung Ambitious Adventurer. Sana ngaaaaaaa.

Meet the rest of Team Aldous here.

Here's to leaving the baggage of 2015 behind and welcoming 2016 with open arms!

Wishing you all the best for the coming year.
God bless us!

Pililla Wind Farm, Rizal

a.k.a Pilillia Windmills, Rizal

Now you don't have to travel all the way to Bangui to see windmills because there is a closer wind farm in Rizal with only around 2-3 hours travel time from Manila.

If you've been to Regina Rica, Daranak Falls, Batlag Falls or anywhere in Upper Tanay, Rizal, it will be easier for you to navigate. There's only one drop off point for jeepneys so I'm sure that you're already familiar with the place. If not, it is still very easy to find.

How to go to Pililla Wind Farm:

From Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, ride a jeep to Cogeo Gate 2. (Around P 15.00/person)
From Cogeo, ride a jeep to Sampaloc in Tanay, Rizal. (Around P 65.00/person)

There's also a terminal at Starmall, Shaw going to Tanay Public Market although that is something I wouldn't take because the route would still pass to several municipalities such as Teresa and Baras. Passing through Marifanta/Marilaque road is my thing. hehehe.

At the jeepney drop off point, tricycles that can take you to the Windfarm abound. I am just not sure about the rated but they were also offering ride to Daraitan. Huhubells. Somedayyyyy. I really love Sierra Madre Mountain Range. <3

We passed by the wind farm on our way back to Manila after hearing mass at Regina RICA. :)))
Ayan na sila.

Although not as big as the ones in Bangui, Ilocos pwedeng pwede na. Iba naman 'to kasi nasa bundok.
Everytime I see these windmills, humahaba talaga leeg ko para mas makita ng maayos. haha. K. Mga trip ko sa buhay eh.
Ang dami.

I saw the Bangui Windmills in 2013 nung isang line palang sila. The last time I heard about Bangui, meron na rin daw naka-scatter na windmills. Scatter talaga. hahaha! Pero unlike Ilocos na para ang hirap pag sunset ka pupunta, I think one of the best times to go here is during sunset.
Kasi from there, overlooking din ang Laguna Bay.

For other infos about these windmills, di ko na ilalagay muna. Sa susunod na lang pag makabalik ako.
Bye, Windmills.
Until next time.

2016 (and beyond) Christmas Wishlist!

Because this has become an annual tradition for me that I am posting this despite the loads of backlogs! Hahaha.  I definitely need to come up with a better (blogging) schedule/ better time management skills and all. Ang gulo ng everyday! Actually, ang gulo ng everything! Kakaloka! :))

BUT WAIT. Have you let it sink in that in less than two weeks, it's already 2016? NO? IKR! Are we just too busy or the days pass quickly? Haaay! -_-

Actually, unlike my 2012 post which was full of material things, wala talaga akong maisip na isulat dito ngayon. Tumatanda na nga...

But for an update from my post last year:

1. I got a Sony TX30 camera. Skills pala talaga may problema. Haha! Also, I changed my phone last May. Nag goodbye ako sa Sony Xperia ZR, I now own a Z3. Unplanned sobra pero keribells hihi. <3

2. Still continuing my monthly contribution at World Vision Philippines. Again, my wish is more funds so I can continue being a sponsor.

3. I was able to plant a tree. lol. Big deal. Talaga ba. As if naman nabuhay 'yon. haha!

4. Hindi na ko nakabalik ng PAWS. :( Sad talaga pero I think factor dito was because one of my dogs died last February. Ewan. Anyway,  I'm wishing of finding a cause that I can volunteer to na even if may pain akong maramdaman, I will continue ganyan.

5. Paka-explorer pa rin. Haha. Charot! Hahaha. I wish to visit more places, meet more people, and experience a lot of new things next year. Gala talaga kong bata. Haha! Arte much.

6. Health, Safety, Financial Stability, and God's favor.

Waley talaga. hahaha! Waley ako maisip na material thing na gusto ko pero if ever I'd need something, meron naman 'yon at darating naman 'yon. Kagaya ng sinabi ko last year, "In God's perfect time."

Although I have an idea, the details are obviously vague but one thing is for sure; I need to become a better and stronger person. Kaya my wishes for next year (and beyond) are to always have the will and motivation to keep going, to continuously find things to be grateful for, to always have patience, courage, open mind, and confidence.

Sabi nga,

"Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom. The major value in life is not what you get. The major value in life is what you become. Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become."

Kaya natin 'to! :)
Ngayon pa ba tayo susuko? :)))))

We are given this life because WE ARE strong ENOUGH to live it. Hehehe. God bless! Whoever you are, I am praying for you. Santa levelz? I know right pero seryoso kasi. hehe!

Here's to the great persons we will become.
Here's to a KABOGERANG 2016! <3

Wingman's Thursday Quiz Night, UPTC

I've been to a lot of restaurants serving wings but I've no experience in quiz nights. So when I agreed, "Ah bahala na." I don't even like being asked trivia questions but I still said yes to the challenge and the food. lol.

I arrived at Wingman, 2nd Floor in UP Town Center then I saw...

The poster of the Bloggers Quiz Night displayed at the door.
I knew that we had a poster but I didn't know they're going to post it there.
Team Pabebe.

Walang makakapigil sa'min!!! Based on what happened during that night, walang makakapigil sa'min kumain!
Squadron Meal consists of 30 wings (5 different flavors), Potato Platter (I don't know the exact name), pitcher of drinks (lemonade, draft beer or iced tea).
Classic Buffalo and Lemon Pepper

We got the classic buffalo in medium.

This is the one I liked best because it's flavorful yet the spiciness is just right for me. It's like I didn't have to taste the other variants because this is all I need. haha.

By the way, Wingman has fifteen flavors of chicken and you can look here for the list and prices.
Prairie Fire
Garlic Parmesan and Moroccan Chermoula.

Moroccan Chermoula tastes exotic because of its North African Spices while Prairie Fire though I expected a spicy flavored wings because of the word fire has a creamy sauce.
Aside from the good food, what made this night more fun and interesting is the Quiz Night.

While eating we were asked several trivia questions, the winners get a prize.

This is actually the reason why I was having second thoughts on saying yes to this event but it turned out okay and super fun. It wasn't stressful nor very competitive, it was more of like a friendly and a good vibes quiz game made better because it's played while having delicious wings and beer. hehe.

Quiz nights are a great way of challenging how broad your knowledge is. Mine wasn't 'cause most of the questions I was able to answer fell under the geography/tourism category. I need to become a wider reader... e bat ba kasi mas interested talaga ko sa lakwatsa. haha!
Pang-IG shot.

Looking at this picture makes me want to go back there and yes, I will do that one of these days. Hehe.

My top two flavors are Classic Buffalo and Garlic Parmesan.
Platter of onion rings, french fries, shoestring fries and twister fries.

No need for rice (for me to say that there's no need for rice is something unusual!) because the wings are matchy matchy with everything carbo that are on this platter.
Fried Snickers

First, I like how they plated it and placed the vanilla ice cream in a ramekin because it gets messy once it has melted. Second, I don't see how the combination of snickers, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and vanilla ice cream can go wrong. Hehe. Sweet way to end the night.
This was a sure hit for the pabebe girls!

Thank you, Wingman UPTC and Aldous of aldousatetheworld for a fun and filling night!

Kami ang pabebe girls at wala kaming pake... jk.

Byeeee! :))

Staycation at Marriot Hotel, Newport City Complex, Pasay

I put the watermarks before I finally decided to make the URL xtintina. haha.

This is one of the hotels in Newport City Complex across Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. I read somewhere that they recently won an award but I forgot what was it. Congrats, Marriott Hotel! Well-deserved! Here's to more staycations for me. Charrrrrr. :)))

Below are pictures from Marriott Hotel that I took once upon a time...
There's a way/bridge from the hotel to RWM.

Seeing this sign reminded me a lot of Genting Highlands in Malaysia which actually isn't surprising since they're both Resort's World.

It was more kilig though for me since I was there for an overnight stay and not just to sight see.
Stayed at room 543.

As if seeing my already big pores isn't enough, there's a magnifying mirror there. lol.
It was during typhoon Lando and Metro Manila was under signal number two that we were there. Since the weather was cold I was wearing my BB jacket most of the time. Walang sawa sa BB jacket kasi wala namang choice at super comfy naman niya gamitin.
One of the best feeling is seeing your name flashed in the television once you enter the room. But it was my roommate's name that was typed there so unfortunately, I did not feel the best feeling. Hahaha!
Our beds huhuhu I want to go back plssss.
Only a glass wall divides the bathroom and the entire room but no need to panic since there are curtain blinds which control buttons are found beside the door.

Another thing that I liked about Marriott's bathroom aside from the bath tub was there were two types of shower heads: one was the hand held shower wand and the other was the rain shower head.... if you're getting the picture. Haha.
Toothbrushes and lotion bottle.
Aroma therapy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

I love the smell of these but I wasn't able to use any since I brought my own shampoo and conditioner. Hindi na keri pag hindi ako nag cream silk, it's that phase when it's a bad hair day everyday for me. Need to have my hair rebonded na!!
Went to Resort's World for a cup of matcha from UCC. Will be blogging them next time because I need to visit again for their matcha products.
Good morning, Marriott Hotel!!

I slept well despite the difficulty of falling sleep at first. It was a challenge since I wasn't used to using very soft pillows, good thing I had like four of them that I piled up.
The pool area overlooking the metro skyline.

Now that I am thinking of it, I don't remember hearing sounds of airplanes while there even if it's near Terminal 3.
Pool Bar and Gym area.

Their Quan Spa also has steam bath, jacuzzi and sauna facilities that can be accessed by all guests as well.
Kakain na lang... nakadress pa ganyan.
Kuya and I...

May mai-caption lang. The pool was only 5 feet deep but I like the water quality. Wished they had a deeper pool.
These are for sale.
The 15th Grand Wine Experience. Stella Artois is the only one I can recognize in this picture.

I have no pictures of all the buffet selections which is a fail because there are definitely a lot of choices.

From these cheeses to Japanese food to Filipino food. As in almost everything that I could think of eating for breakfast was there.
I ate a lot which is a no-brainer but one thing that I really liked is that Matcha Gelato is included in the breakfast buffet. Although I am having matcha every morning, I still got excited when I found out that gelatos were buffet inclusive.

Those bottles on the right were fruit juices - I especially like the four seasons and apple flavors.
Morning swim and morning emo.
'Yung stolen shot na mukhang, "Whatever! Mag staycation ako ng mag staycation." Haha. Wow burgithhhhhh.
Told you it was BB and me almost all the time.
'Yan lang BB ko eh, 'yung jacket. hehe.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Marriott Hotel in Pasay. We encountered no problem with our room and with the staff since they were attentive, helpful, and courteous.

Oh, you can't operate the elevator unless you swipe your room card because it uses a key-card system for added security function. It is a system that we were unfamiliar with at first that going back to our floor was a problem because we couldn't swipe our room card right or there was a problem with our floor's button that it doesn't get pushed. Hahaha!

More of this plez... para masanay. :))
