Ichiran's version was the first ramen bowl that I've finished in 2019.

Japan 2019: Ichiran Tonkotsu Ramen, Fukuoka - Hakata Branch

I've read a lot of negative comments from people and they say that this isn't good or it's overhyped and overrated. Even recommending that tourists skip this and should visit other ramen shops especially since there are numerous ramen restaurants and yatai stalls in Hakata Area.

I like Ichiran though. There would be better ramens than this but the choices can get overwhelming. So, for the safest bet that is also consistently delicious, Ichiran is still worth a trip.

These are photos from Ichiran Tonkotsu Ramen in Tenjin.

BOOK YOUR Ultimate Fukuoka Tour from Sunrise to Sunset HERE.

You'd pay your order through that machine, fall in line, you'll be given a checklist on how you want your ramen to be served.

Shouldn't be confusing even for first timers because there are translations available.

Once seated, you'll hand over the ticket and checklist so they can prepare your ramen.

I'd love to come back here if I find myself back in the area again. This brand, probably because it's the first ramen I had in Japan, is somehow a comfort food for me.

Probably about time for me to explore more ramen flavors though. As far as I can remember, I've only eaten tonkatsu based ramen in Japan. Miso, shoyu, and shiyo.

Someday, in a different prefecture.
Someday, in another Japan trip. 💖💖💖

We've read several reviews of Team Lab attractions which are a mixed of positive and negative.

How was our experience?

Book your Teamlab Tickets here.

There are lockers where you can leave your stuff. Like the one in Shibuya Sky.

Tokyo, Japan: Shibuya Sky at Sundown

This is our first time at a Team Lab museum and even though we've seen a lot of photos before coming there, the whole experience is still surreal. It was interesting to navigate and immerse in the different artworks.

There were a lot of people and time in each was limited but we still managed to take good photos with no one else in the background.

In the exhibit above, you wade in water which is why we were barefoot all throughout.

Overall, it was worth it especially for first timers of interactive museums like this. Maybe it's a better choice to secure tickets before going here because the queue was long. We already had a schedule so we didn't have to wait for a long time outside.

This was after Team Lab.

We just spent an hour in this area to watch the sunrise. While there are a lot of attractions and malls to visit in Odaiba, we were too tired to walk around so we just stayed in one place and took pictures with different places in the background.

In front of Aqua City Mall.

Places We  Visited in Tokyo, Japan 2023

This place should be beautiful at night as well especially the lights at the rainbow bridge.

Tokyo's Rainbow Bridge and the Replica of New York's Statue of Liberty

USA: Sightseeing Cruise in New York City

The rainbow bridge connects Tokyo Mainland and Odaiba.

Very calm and peaceful place.
This was a great way to end our Tokyo Trip because the rest of the days we were there felt like a walkathon.

If you have a day to spare, Odaiba is a good option.

Now that Gundam Factory in Yokohama is closed already, Odaiba, particularly in Diver City Tokyo Plaza, is one of the places you can still see a life-sized Gundam Statue. Gundam Base Tokyo is there.

As far as I know, you have five options to get to Uminonakamichi Seaside Park in Fukuoka.

1. Train
2. Bus
3. Ferry
4. Cab
5. Private Transfer

So far, we've taken two kinds of transportation: Train and Ferry

We were from Nanzoin Temple when we went here via train. You can follow the suggested route in Google Map but make sure to alight at the station after Marine World Uminonakamichi if you want to reach the West Gate faster.

Fukuoka, Japan 2024: Winter at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park

Fukuoka, Japan 2019: Spring at Uminonakamichi Seaside Park

We were there on a weekday so there were no food sellers in the area. Since we were from Nanzoin, we haven't taken our lunch yet so we were famished. This Takoyaki store near the gate saved us for that afternoon.

Better option is to get something from the convenience store before going here just to make sure you have something to snack on if you become hungry. The park is quite huge. You can actually spend an entire day walking there. I don't know where to rent a bicycle but that is also an option.

10 pieces for 550 Yen.

There are drinks vending machine outside the Ferry Station. We didn't know if it was possible to eat inside so we ate our Takoyaki here.

Make sure to check the ferry schedule so you can maximize your time inside the park. A lot of people arrived just in time for the ferry 'cause they knew the schedule beforehand, we didn't.

Ferry Fare was 450 Yen per person.

Btww, that nail design/ nail gel was gifted to me by Jinro Soju.

Saitozaki to Hakata Port Ferry Ride

The ferry ride was less than 30 minutes.

Hakata Port

Ferries enroute to Busan are available here.

If you're heading to Sensoji Temple, this Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center should be worth your while. It's directly across the Kaminarimon gate.

When you go up the Viewing Deck, you'll see this view above: Sensoji Temple and Pagoda with the whole stretch of Nakamise-Dori Street.

Tokyo Skytree is the view from the other corner of the Observation Deck.

There are a lot of people going up here so you can only spend a few minutes taking photos so as to give other people the chance to take their own.

Photo taken probably around 9 AM and stores were just opening up.

The day we visited was the day this Sumidagawa Fireworks Festival was held last year.

Tokyo, Japan: Matsuri!! (Summer Festivals We Attended)

Aside from the Observation Deck and cafe that you can find in the 8th floor, you can get brochures and ask for travel advices from this place. There's also a foreign currency exchange, toilet, exhibit, free wifi-access in this building.

If you want to join a free walking tour, you can go to this building as well to ask about that. I think they hold tours of/around Asakusa every weekend.
