This was our first trip to a national park which turns out to be Utah's first national park too.

From Las Vegas, it was about three to four hours of driving.
Yey! Change of state!

Utah's time is one hour ahead of Nevada.

Yey! Change of timezone. :))
I don't know what kind of rocks are these but don't they look interesting?

One thing's for sure though, those layers signify the million years it took for them to form. When we were driving there, it seemed like a massive earthquake made these rocks look like that.
Thank the heavens we had a good weather when we visited the area.
Almost near Zion.

Springdale area.

There are cabins that can be rented out here which makes so much sense because there are a lot of National Parks in the area. Huhuhu. We just didn't have the time to visit them all but Bryce, Grand Escalante, Grand Canyon, Lake Powell are all around 1 1/2 hours away. Huhuhuhu. I'll be back Utah and hopefully by then, spend more than a week discovering the beauty of all your National Parks.

All these sports car yet I have none. haha!

I was never into sports car nor into any car but I welcomed the thought of owning one of these or an SUV someday. hahaha.
Into this one way tunnel.
Huhuhu. So beautiful!

Emoterang palaka.

Missing my shades so much too. How can you break after 6 months of being together hahaha
More photos because the rocks are so beautiful.
Drove straight hahahaha but then we accidently exited the park while looking for some place to eat.
We found a picnic table somewhere and decided to eat there.

Another traveller gave us a ticket to Bryce Canyon, a ticket to these parks is good for a week.

So we initially thought that this everything you'll see in the Zion National Park hahaha but as we were deciding between going to Bryce and staying, we took another look at the map. Turns out that the reason why we didn't see the trails is that private cars aren't allowed to pass through there, there's a free shuttle that hikers must ride to reach their desired trail.

We decided to stay and there, I fell deeper inlove with Zion. haha. It's actually the first on my list of favorite places even if we weren't able to hike through all the trails because we didn't have the time anymore.

So I was listening at the radio and heard about the advertisement of Kenny Rogers's Concert here in Manila on August 11, 2016 at Araneta Coliseum, 8:00.

Concert Poster:

ctto :)

I was like, "Oh, I've watched that already while I was in the USA during the Del Mar County Fair."

Anywhow, these are four pictures from Kenny Rogers': The Gambler's Last Deal Concert in San Diego.

I actually enjoy a night of acoustic sessions or classics like this more compared to a night out at clubs. hahahaha.

Watching a concert or a night out is something I don't do often. Beast, Super Junior, The Vamps, Lee Min Ho na lang napanood ko over the past years. :))

The crowd was certainly not my age bracket though.

Haha. Tbh, I don't really know who he was. :)))))))))

Until he started singing and I recognized most of his songs. :)

Beh! Unchained Melody was my Karaoke song when I was younger, around 8 years old because I always hear it being sung. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Glad to be able to watch his last concert in the USA!!!!
So since you have the chance here in Manila.

Buying that concert ticket is worth it!

I mean, that's the last set of the legend.
Will blog about the Del Mar fair in I still don't know when. Ang dami ko pang lugar na hindi naib-blog. :)))

When he was singing this song, pictures he took in America was flashing on the LCD screen. HAHAHAHA. Can't help it but be nostalgic of my own USA Adventures too.

The land that I got to love, America <3

And when I get a jowa (malay ko ba if I get away this whole #teamtakbo, #teamtakas and #teamtulak membership soon) hahahaha and I suddenly become the cheesy jowa, I'll ask him to seeing a Kenny Rogers song for me.

Just 'cause the gambler said that his songs are, "t
hings a man wants to say, things a woman wants to hear" WAHAHAHA KTNXBYE

Griffith Observatory website link: here.

All information are in their website already and I got this as an introduction, Southern California’s gateway to the cosmos! Visitors can look through telescopes, explore exhibits, see live shows in the Samuel Oschin Planetarium, and enjoy spectacular views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Sign.

First time in Griffith Observatory Area, Hollywood Sign, and Hollywood Walk of Fame link: here.
So the Hollywood sign is that far from Griffith observatory.

You can get closer by hiking though. But we had no time to do that anymore so we had to settle for this.
Unlike our first time here, we decided to go in and see the exhibits they have in Griffith.
Ceiling painting
The closest to stargazing activity that I was able to do.
My body temperature for that day was 93.1 Farenheit. Literal na hot. haha. That was around 34 Celsius.

Phases of the moon.
Mawawala ba naman ang picture ng likod haha

<3 Being able to see the moon at the other side of the world hihihi.
Foucault Pendulum

One of my favorite. This one demonstrates the rotation of the Earth.
I have yet to visit a place wherein I can watch the stars all night. <3
Always in awe with our universe.

Hahaha.
And whoever is that photobomber guy on the left.
Los Angeles downtown and Hollywood Area.

And moi, of course.

I need a photo remembrance from the Land of the Angels. HAHA
They have  a lot more exhibits than the those I posted in here.

Entrance and most exhibits are free but they have a show wherein you have to pay before getting in.

and Palm Springs Aerial Tramway

Malaysia's Genting Highlands in 2014 link: here. My first cable car ride was there. :)

"I want to ride on a cable car on a winter day. Where? Money, where?" Well, you were kind of able to do it, 2014 self. hahaha. You rode a cable car and have experienced a day of winter. HAHAHAHA. Pwede na!

Let our faith be bigger than our fear. Huhuhu. Pushhhhhh.

I didn't search on this too much. I just saw that there's a cable car/tramway in Palm Springs so we looked for it.

Little did we know that it is a State Park that is on top. 'Cause we initially thought that the Tram was our destination when the fact is, it is just a mode of transportation to get to the Park.

The Palm Springs Aerial Tramway—the world’s largest rotating tram car—travels over two-and-one-half miles along the breathtaking cliffs of Chino Canyon, transporting riders to the pristine wilderness of the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. During your approximately ten-minute journey, tram cars rotate slowly, offering picturesque and spectacular vistas of the valley floor below. Once you reach the Mountain Station—elevation 8,516 feet—enjoy two restaurants, observation decks, natural history museum, two documentary theaters, gift shop and over 50 miles of hiking trails. Missed this kind of high!!

I really love high, overlooking places. Hihi.
First California State Park! :)

These trees greeted us as we arrived at the top.

Like Mt. Charleston in Nevada and Lake Tahoe, this State Park is also famous for its snow/winter activities.
Not even 1/20 of the whole state park and we were already running out of breath. haha!
We didn't hike to the peak of Mount San Jacinto but we walked around this area of the self-guided walk which was the easiest and closest to the tram station.
Don't know if we're going to the Discovery Nature Trail or Adventure Center.

Haha! I'm pretty sure we walked towards the Discovery Nature Trail but got lost so we ended up trekking/walking along the Desert View Trail.

Pwede na! haha. Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks soon. Yes, life? :))) I still have a lot of State Parks and National Parks on my list!
The end of the desert trail!
Summit Moment!

Thankful. hehe.

Iba talaga appeal sa'kin ng bundok. I always have this inclination to go to anything mountain-related. HAHAHAHA!
I have a lot of pictures with big rocks in the states. Hahaha!
I miss my favorite shades! :( I broke it while travelling back to the Philippines. :( Naipit. :((( After sa lahat ng hirap na pinagdaanan mong kasama ako, shades. Dun ka pa bumigay. :((( Huhuhu! We were together for six months. hahaha!! Kainis talagaaaaaaa. :(
You'd notice that the park has a lot of broken branches and trunks like this.

It wasn't summer yet when we went there but the sun was already too hot.

That time, it was still cold in Las Vegas so we still didn't know that the "too hot" of San Jacinto was nothing compared to a "hot summer" day in Vegas. haha!
Reyna.

There was a caution sign saying that this area has an unsafe footing.

And yes, look at that stubborn "young lady"
My eye bags don't have to fight for survival though. Sa lahat, sila pinaka makaka survive.
There was a sign that one must take time and smell this tree so I did. hahaha.

Madali lang naman akong kausap.

It smells like a mix of vanilla and cinnamon.
Mt. Pulag in Benguet is higher than this at 2,922 MASL.
More Nature Trips please!

Mount Seoraksan and Nami Island :)))

Yesterday it was exactly a month since I came back to the Philippines and exactly three months to go til my next. <3
This is the rotating tram car.

On our way down.

Desert View.
And me. :))
Goodbye, Palm Springs! :)
