This place is the one we saw when we decided to book plane tickets to Virac - Binurong Point in Baras, Catanduanes. My first fly-out for 2023 and my first time in Bicol Region. 💖

Expenses:

Environmental Fee - P 30.00/pax - You pay this on your first day and they'd give you entry stamps which you're showing at the jump-off/entrance of the tourist spots so you don't have to pay it every time.
Entrance Fee - P 30.00/pax
Tour Guide Fee - P 250.00/guide - There's a trek/hike to get to Binurong Point so you would need to hire a guide to accompany you. Don't worry 'cause the hike is easy.

We arrived at twilight. We initially thought we missed the sunrise but Catanduanes was generous to us 'cause it waited. haha. As if.

The first thing I noticed when we arrived is this herd of cows - they're waiting for the sunrise with us while having breakfast.

We were still catching our breaths from the hike and then we were welcomed by this breathtaking view. I've embedded my Instagram post at the end of this post. <3

It was a perfect day to watch the sunrise in Binurong Point.  Looking at the view, it made sense when they told us, "Maganda 'yan. Mataas 'yung ulap." while in the jump off point.

So, there are three points in Binurong.

Point A, Point B, and Point C... as in Point Cow? Since the cows are there? HAHAHA

You'd have to walk along a steep cliff to get to Point A. We decided to walk barefoot. It was scary at first but soon felt that the view was too magnificent to be scared.

Btw, I heard that this place isn't accessible to public on some days when the wind is strong. When you arrive in Catanduanes, you'll realize why it's also called "The Land of the Howling Wind. This one of the places we visited there where the strength of the wind was really intense. It felt like it was pushing us back when we were walking along Point A.

Here are photos from Point A since I can't choose which ones to post.

The place was wide and directly facing the sunrise.

Aside from the bamboo fences to stop the cows from going to dangerous spots, this is pure nature. Don't forget to bring your water when going to this place.

Point B on the left, Point C on the right.

End of Point B

I don't know if wearing dress at this place was a right decision. lol. Anyway, make sure to wear shorts underneath because dresses/skirts keep on blowing up because of the wind.

Sobrang ganda!!!!
The pictures and videos didn't do justice at all.

Last stop is Point C. These are free range cows and they're used to people so as long as you're not getting to close nor harming them, you don't have to worry.

We didn't get to visit a lot of places in Catanduanes and I haven't even posted all the places we've visited in Boracay but this is just tooooo beautiful that I really made time to post this ASAP.

If you're looking for a guide, you can look for the Facebook page of Kuya Onyong Pamplona and he can help you plan your Catanduanes Trip.

Everything, in time. 💖

After exploring the nearby Nelson Ghost Town, we drove to the Colorado River. Along the river is a stateline, by the way, dividing Nevada and Arizona.

Spending a day in El Dorado Canyons reminded me of the many things I loved about touring around the US - it's so wide and it feels like you're jumping from one "world" to another just by driving through different state and national parks. I may be a little bit bias here 'cause I'm a mountain person so looking at the mountains is enough to excites me.

We set-up our barbecue spot in the shore and that on the right side of the photo is the cliff jumping site. It doesn't look high in the photo above but it was around 60 feet. HAHA!

My highest cliff jumping experience was during the canyoneering trip in Cebu and that was 50 feet. I just didn't felt safe jumping here 'cause I was doing it alone. AHAHAA

Canyoneering in Cebu link: here.

My friends were thoughtful in preparing everything we needed for that afternoon. Nakakatouch! AHAHAHA!

From the girly Margarita Budlight to this Michelob Ultra. :)))

Ilang ako 'yung height nung cliff? hehehe.

I was really thinking of jumping but I backed out because I suddenly feared the height! HAHA. Lesson learned tho, in once in a lifetime moments like this, GO NA. :)))

I would totally want to go back to Utah and Arizona to explore more of their National Parks.

Zion's National Park is still one of my favorite places until now.

Panoramic Shot

There's something about being up in the mountains just looking at the vastness of the Earth. <3 Plus points kasi wala masyadong tao here. Who would think that this is only an hour and a half drive away from the Las Vegas Strip?

Currently Watching: Crash Landing On You <3

Station: Eungbong Station, exit 1

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

I kept on thinking that I should post more of my different travels the past months and not just those places from South Korea, but then I'd see one place in a drama that I'm currently watching and then here it goes, a blog post about it. I'm scheduling another post which will include the KBS building 'cause I saw Jamjam's appa (The Return of Superman) there before. Saranghaeyo, Moon Hee Joon! HAHAHA.

Not that this was a scene in Crash Landing On You per se, but it's one of the places I noticed in the intro video whenever it's played in Netflix. Took a photo of it which will be uploaded last on this photo set.

Going to the pagoda is easy if only we didn't take the longer route to get there. It has an elevation of 95.3 meters and there's a staircase so it's easy to get to the top. From the train station, all you have to do is walk straight to the staircase.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

But despite the map that we had in our phones, we still took a wrong turn and ended up walking the longer way. But yeah, it was because of that that we saw this bridge.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

The staircase from the wall climbing wall was pretty steep so we rested for a while before continuing our "hike." Went there last January so it was freezing and we had this very heavy coats on so it was more challenging than usual. lol.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

We got to the pagoda eventually.

This should be a familiar view especially to people who've watched a lot of Kdramas. Scenes in "Weightlifting Kim Bok Joo," "Are You Human?" were filmed here as well.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

It was noon when we got here and no one else was there. Haha. There are a lot of crowded places in Seoul but then you'd still be able to find places that doesn't have a lot of people especially if you're travelling on a weekday.

Here was a sign that this place is a photo spot but didn't know how the photo should look like. lol.

Namsan Tower

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

Going up the pagoda is not allowed.

I remembered eating kimbap in of the pagodas I saw in Busan before.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

I still get excited for South Korea trips.

It's still a happy place and I think that it will always be. <3

So from here, Seoul Forest is just across the river. We again, took the long turn, but if you're going to SF then that pedestrian bridge is the one you should look for.

I've seen photos of this staircase in spring and autumn but yeah, I haven't experienced going around Seoul during those two seasons. Haha. This is the Seoul that's familiar to me. Seoul during winter. <3 I can use another week-long Seoul trip next year. HAHAHA! Well, my three years visa would expire next year but I am thinking of renewing.

Eungbongsan, Seoul Winter 2020

If you're on the right track, this is what the staircase should look like when going up to Eungbongsan.
