The other night we were able to try some  a lot of food that are offered at the newest food park here in Quezon City - The Yard: Streetfood Cinema. It's the first ever cinema and food park here in Metro Manila.

As you enter the place, you'd notice that the food stalls are all in theme. Their concessionaires have movie/series-based themes such as Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Monsters Inc., Lion King and so much more.

Good thing I stayed...

Infairness, gusto ko 'yung effect ng lighting dun sa The Yard. Ang ganda.

Naughty Nachos' Mouth Breather

Nachos with cheese, bacon and jalapeno bits.

Grab your beer and this nachos especially for those who are into spicy food. The serving is quite big so if you're a group of 2-3 then this will last a long time of kwento.

House of Griddle

Bunless Burger Patty
Beef Bulgogi

I wish I can sit down and eat these two but since we were served a lot of food that night, I was only able to taste the viand. I loved the sauce of the bunless burger but it's their beef bulgogi that I kept reaching for. It's very flavorful and tender.

We were busy taking pictures of the food and it was quiet when somebody from the second floor shouted. Naturally, all the attention went to them and that's when I learned that The Yard Quenchers serve drink in a very creative and interactive way. What happens is that they will ask you to wear props and be like Hulk or Thor before you get to drink the cocktail and ask you to hit the table.... ooops, the whole thing is for you to see when you get there.

Crazy Cream

Crazy Puff
Wasabi Ice Cream

The meringue isn't too sweet, just the way I like mine. The nitrogen (smoke) makes it more interesting than just having to eat it plain. This is perfect for sweet toothed people.

Wasabi Ice Cream was interesting as well. It initially is sweet and after a while, you'll be able to taste the wasabi in it. It wasn't that spicy but the wasabi taste is there.

Smokey Wazowski from Stuff It

This cheese burger has everything that I like in a burger - bacon, onion ring, and a flavorful patty.

Top Dawgs

I've already blogged about them when I first tried their hotdog sandwich in a food park in Maginhawa. And just like before, I love everything in this bun. I love pesto and though it's (pesto and hotdog bun) not something I would've thought on my own, the flavor combination from Top Dawgs works.

Crazy Sushi MNL

Crazy Ramen Long

Do you know someone one who tears paper whenever he/she is talking on the phone? Or is it just me? :)) I placed this Crazy Ramen Long in front of me while having conversation and I would break a piece and eat. I jokingly told them, "Ito 'yung bagay ipakain sa hindi umiinom pero nakiki-pulutan." I love how crunchy the noodles is. Wala lang. Ang sarap papakin! Hindi ko nga tinigilan eh. hahaha!

Pitmaster Grill

Grilled Pork Belly

Perfectly cooked and flavorful. The BBQ and the pork belly were tender.

The God Pasta

Bulalo Pasta

This was placed on the other end of our table and when I came near here, I first wondered if it was pasta or pancit 'cause  of the bulalo bone in the center. And so I got bite of the meat and it  was very tender, I also got some of the pasta and I loved it at first bite. I think this one is carbonara-based which wasn't overly creamy. I am surprised that this tasted better than I expected. Good job, The God Pasta! Must try!

Tikka Tikka Shawarma Burrito

Tikka Beef

tikka, tikka, ano ba 'to? Char. :))

Tipong can't decide if you want shawarma or shawarma rice, get yourself a shawarma burrito.

Pipa Pizza

Shawarma Pizza

This was my favorite of all the food that we had that night. It tasted simple but the flavors complimented each other so well. I loved the crunchy crust that is made from thin tacos. 'Yun nga, dahil manipis, pinagpatong ko na, besh 'yung dalawa sa isang kagat! hahaha

Above Sea Level

BIG HUUUUUUUUG bago kita kainin!

You'd see a lot of tables having Above Sea Level's Butterfly Squid so I guess this one's a crowd favorite. Can't blame them because it's tender and not rubbery. I love this with a vinegar dip.

Mac and Chicks

Sriracha Wings

I was about to grab one when I asked what the flavor was and it was sriracha. Luh. Haha. I'm not good in eating spicy food so I was hesitant but I still got one. Well, it wasn't that spicy. Ito na, guys, chance mag sriracha na hindi masyado maanghang oh!

Cold Layer Cafe

I know that with chocolate you can rarely go wrong but there are some that go overboard resulting to an overly sweet dessert. Thankfully, that isn't the case with Cold Layer Cafe. There are more than three kinds of chocolate topping above but since the ice cream wasn't too sweet, I enjoyed this a lot.

Quarter Chicken by A Taste of Africa

They say that you'd get to know a lot about a country when you taste their cuisine. Anyway, Africa is one of my dream countries and I've long wanted to try their cuisine but it's not a usual one here in the Philippines. So I was surprised when I saw A Taste of Africa in The Yard. Their peri-peri is uniquely served hanging like that. I am not into spicy food so the chicken was completely fine to me but you might like it more dipped in their special sauce.

Q'urros Spanish Donuts

Chimney Twirls

Hakuna Patata

Get your potato fix from Hakuna Patata.

These balls has beef inside and the sauce is the one in the syringe. The sauce has activated charcoal which explains the color.

Lord of the Ribs

Ribs Popcorn
Ribs Dynamite

Dyanamite. :)) Tawang tawa ko rito. Tapang ko pa eh.

I got one and immediately took a bite of their dyanamite. 'Yung first bite, di ko nakagat 'yung chili and so I had another one..... hahahahaha OMG INUMIN PLEASE. :))) It was spicy perfect for people who love spicy food but something not for me, I'd have the Ribs Popcorn anytime.

My open cinema dreams just came true! :))
In case you're wondering where the outdoor cinema is, they're still assembling it but the picture above will be where they're gonna put the projector for all the diners to see.

Some people I know told me that they're tired of going to food parks since they're all the same. Well, it's good that Streetfood Cinema has started operating so I have something to show those people. I'm really into the movie themed stalls - the concessionaires and The Yard are impressively creative that you'd want to go through each stall just so you'd see how they named their food (and stalls) which are all in line with the theme. It's a whole new level a food park concept so expect not only delicious and reasonably priced food options but also a unique experience when you dine here.

This foodpark is a three storey food park with ample parking space so there will definitely be something for everyone.

I don't frequent Kapitolyo area... not these days. :)) Anyway, with Team Aldous, we went to Pitmasters Smokehouse BBQ in Kapitolyo, Pasig.

It was a flavorful and filling night for all of us.

The three main sauces that are found in the tables of Pitmasters: East Capitol, Hazelnut, and Apple.

Out of the three, my favorite was East Capitol.

Started the night with these three appetizers.

Pit Caesar Salad
P 240.00

Kanta na tayo ng that's the way u-huh, u-huh, I like it. :))

Their version of Caesar salad has bacon strips on top...... and can you actually go wrong with bacon?! Pitsmasters Smokehouse take pride in their homemade bacon. It's really good though! Smoked and crispy.

Chicken Skin
P 145.00

Eaten on its own, this one might be too sweet for some people since it's covered in honey sauce. Paired with beer though and squeezed with some lemon juice, this turned out pretty okay.

Pulled Pork Roll
P 200.00

This one is my favorite of all the appetizers and it's mainly because how the roll compliments the dip. Yep, that's crispy fried rolls with pulled pork inside dipped in very tasty kesong puti dip. Oks, hinga bes, alam kong nagugutom ka na rin...

Truffle Pizza
P 370.00

Bacon and Mushroom
P 370.00

I'm sorry Bacon and Mushroom but I'll go for the Truffle Pizza (lolz. type of mushroom diba 'yung truffle?) anytime. The combination of truffle, bechamel sauce, and romano cheese on top of a thin crust kept me going back to get a slice of this pizza.

But wait, 'yung beer?! 'YUNG CRAFT BEERS. GANUN NA LANG 'YUN? SNOB?! Hahaha. All caps talaga, mej lasinggera. HAHAHA.

Syempre, di ko makakalimutan 'yun. :))

From left to right

Toasted Marshmallow, Hazelnut, Banana, and Brown Sugar Cinnamon

While we were still there, I already texted my "beer friends" that we should go back to Kapitolyo and drink Toasted Marshmallow. That's how good it was!

But I'm a social drinker lang, noh....

and above are sangrias.

That was the first time I drank sangria so I have no idea how it should taste like but between the two, I prefer the red sangria. Probably because it has red wine, which taste, is more familiar to me.

ITO NA ANG MAIN EVENT, BES. READY KA NA?!

Di ko alam kung paano ko ituturo pero ayun oh, 'yung ribs sa bandang gitna, huhu, it's so tender and flavorful! You won't even have a hard time separating the meat and the bone. Perfectly paired with their East Capitolyo sauce.

That night we were able to taste two of their meat platters.

One platter costs P 1,500.

And you get generous amount of smoked meats: sausage, angus beef, ribs, bacon and roast chicken.

Each platter you get to choose four kinds of sides. Unfortunately, I lost the list of their available side dishes but my favorites were the corn cob, kamote fries, and kimchi rice.

Alam mo 'yung suko ka na but wait, may pasta. :))

Four Cheese Mac and Cheese Pasta
P 140.00

I was quite surprised how it looks like that it's almost neon yellow and soon enough when I had a spoonful, it's turmeric that they used to achieve that kind of color. Very unique!

Angus Meatballs Pasta
P 180.00

Kung hindi lang marami kinain ko, mauubos ko 'yan eh. :))
It a classic sour kind of tomato pasta but it's perfect paired with the tenderness of the Angus meatballs.

Truffle Pasta
P 180.00

I think it's their version of carbonara. Creamy and savory.

Ended the night with these gelato from Manila Creamery

Manila Creamery, UPTC review: here.

I'm low maintenance when it comes to skincare but these days, I feel like experimenting more since... I'm growing old. HAHAHA. I'm trying to use more products on my face now that I'm in my mid-20's. BESH.MID.TWENTIES.MY.GOLLY. So it's not like I'm really old... but the younger me thought that I'll be better at this thing called adulting but yeah, nevermind.

Back to the review...

I chose to purchase this clay mask from Innisfree since I've been hearing good things about and I've long been curious with clay masks.

According to Innisfree's website,

This Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask has 6-in-1 Pore care:

Shrinks pores + Controls sebum + Exfoliates + Deeply cleanses + Brightens tone + Cools

How to use:

After washing your face, gently apply toner on your face to even out your skin texture. Then, apply the mask over your entire face, avoiding your eye and lip areas. Rinse off the mask with lukewarm water after 10 minutes.

This is my bare face after washing and applying toner. Visible pores in my cheeks and nose... visible and large for as long as I can remember. :))) I don't have black heads but some close comedones.

This is my first time applying this but looking at the picture now, it's fine to use a lesser quantity of this product. I believe it doesn't have to be this thick.

I left it on my face for around 15 minutes before rinsing. Rinse it very very very well. The first three times that I used this, I grew pimple on my chin the next day. K. But those didn't stop me from using it though.

While I left it on my face, I was wondering about the cooling effect but the only time I felt it was when I was rinsing the product off my face. It's probably because of the cooling that I felt a little tightening effect as well. I am not sure about the brightening since it's the light in my room that was brightened hahaha kaya mas bright 'tong after picture. Pero okay fine, siguro nga may brightening effect talaga.

I have a whole container to finish to find out if it'll be effective in shrinking my pores 'cause so far, none has worked. Anyway, I'll continue using this once a week because I like the deep clean feeling it gives my face whenever I use it.

This is me the next morning.

Let's do this, better skincare!!!! Hope to get something good and "beautiful" out of these investments. Hahaha

Creamy Peach, Tan Brown, and Rose Pink on morena skin tone.

Lip and Cheek Stain Alive in Creamy Peach has been my go to cheek tint for months. Aba, syempre na-bore ako isa and that's when I decided that it was time that I try other colors so I got Tan Brown and Rose Pink.

Stain Alive are lip and cheek tints produced by Skin Genie and are only worth P 80.00 per piece. There are a lot of colors but my favorite is Creamy Peach.

Creamy Peach looks bright orange but it applies light when spread on the cheeks. Hindi naman ako nagmu-mukhang orange fruit so far.

Notice that I peeled the sticker because I was curious with how much product have I used already so the change in packaging (you'll see below) is a plus to me.

Despite it being a lip and cheek tint, I only use it on my cheeks 'cause I find lip tints (all lip tints) too drying for my lips.

I dislike cream and powder blushes and find tints easier to put on my cheeks. I roll the tube on my cheek and spread the product using my fingers.

Merong mga cheektint na kapag hindi mo agad na spread, darker 'yung ibang parts. So far, dito sa Stain Alive, even naman 'yung color. Hindi mukhang kinagat ka ng langgam sa isang part ng pisnge mo.

Syempre wag mo naman masyado patagalin.

Tan Brown and Rosy Pink are my new colors that I only used once. HAHAHA.

Sa Tan Brown, para lang akong may pasa/nasuntok sa mukha ganern. Sa Rosy Pink, I found it so red. :< HAHAHAHAHA. Ktnxbye

Among the three, creamy peach gives me a natural flush and a sun-kissed look. Applying orange tint on the cheeks might scare some because it's not usual but I think that it really complements those like me who have morena skintone.

This is the only thing I don't like about this product.

Since I use my fingers to spread the product on my cheeks, it naturally transfers on the fingers. The longevity of this is superb so it also takes awhile before I am able to remove the stains on my fingers.

Below are my selfies with Creamy Peach applied on my cheeks.

I've posted about this already but these days, I'm into MLBB shades so I make sure that I apply this cheek tint to add more color to my face 'cause I'm usually pale.

Back then when I always wore dark/bright lipstick, I didn't see the need to apply cheek tints. hahaha. For me, it's blush with nude lipstick or bold lipstick without blush...I don't usually go around looking like the picture above. :)) Though I didn't look bad (Syempre, di naman ako aamin na pangit ako. haha!), I don't like the color situation happening on my face. lolz.

This is a review of Innisfree's No Sebum Mineral Powders

No-Sebum Blur Powder
No-Sebum Mineral Powder

with Jeju natural mineral and natural originated mint

which do I like more?

Let's see.

Both contains only 5g of product so this is kind of small but small amount of product goes a long way already.

Purchase yours here:

Innisfree Mineral Powder
Innisfree Blue Powder

Mineral Powder is translucent.

You can also feel that there's a slight cooling effect when you apply it on your face. The powder of this one is very fine to the point that the container dispenses too much even with the slightest shake.

Blur Powder has a light beige tint to it.  This one is clumpy compared to the mineral powder so there's more control since there's more effort to get the container dispense the product you need.

I only use the puff that comes with these powders.

Above, I'm wearing the No-Sebum Mineral Powder.

I like the feel of the No-Sebum more whenever I apply it on my face. It doesn't look as if I'm wearing something at all. It feels lighter on the face especially during hot and humid days. The Blur Powder was "paasa" haha. I was expecting it to blur my huge pores like what it promised but I didn't notice any difference.

I have an oily face. With regards to oil control, on a good day I can go up to 4 hours without the need to use blotting paper but it always depend on the weather and humidity.

In the picture above, I used the Blur Powder on my nose and on my cheeks and Mineral Powder on my chin and forehead.

Notice that compared to Mineral Powder, Blur Powder is more obvious. The light beige tint of the latter and my skin tone doesn't match at all. It (blur powder) also makes the shimmer of my BB cream more noticeable.
