Two of the many things I miss about living in Haeundae, Busan are the weather (the transition of summer to autumn so it was my kind of cold. Around 16 degrees Celsius on most days and becomes 10 degrees on most nights. Tamang sweater weather lang) and the proximity of the hiking places and the beach. You know what I mean. :))) I'd love to become a more active person but it's just not possible from where I live here in the Philippines. Hahaha! 'Yung sa Busan kasi, walking distance lang 'yung bundok at beach. Haaaaaaay!!! <3

It doesn't always have to be mountain hike, just going on coastal walks like this in Dongbaekseom is enough and it doesn't need a one full day to finish.

<3

If you're from Haeundae, you have to walk towards The Westin Chosun because the trailhead of this easy 1 to 2 hrs coastal hike is there.

Once you see the mermaid statue on the above picture and the mini suspension bridge on the bottom picture, you're on the right track.

Went there on a hot weekday so there weren't a lot of people walking here but it gets pretty crowded especially during weekend afternoon.

Just walk, and walk, and walk.

It's a beautiful and easy coastal walk especially if you're not used to doing this kind of activity. Igidae Coastal Walk is still the best for me but that was a bit difficult.

At the end, you'll see this white light house and the APEC building. You can continue to walk around the park and the other attractions within the area or you may continue walking.

The Bay 101.

From this area, the nearest subway line should be Dongbaek Station.

I first saw The Bay 101 after we trekked through the coastal walk of Dongbaekseom but it looked just like your normal building in Busan...

So I was surprised why a lot of people often recommended this place to me and we found time to visit this place again one Saturday night.

Since the place is a hit to a lot of locals, it's not surprising that it's packed and as soon we were done taking pictures, we couldn't find an available seat anymore.

Yep, this is all we did.

Took pictures with the beautiful Marine City skyline at the background.

I think this a great place to relax and it looks so beautiful at night... but I still prefer my bottle of soju by Haeundae Beach. hahaha!

But yep, for Busan nightscape pictures? Must go.

Shinsegae is our go-to place since this Guiness World Records holder as the largest shopping complex in the world is only 15 minutes away from home via subway. Not to mention that Park Seo Joon models for Shinsegae and that they have one of the best food market/food court options that I know of in Busan. hahaha!

Since we've been in this area for a lot of times, I tried searching the hashtag Centum City in Instragram to look for picture spots and we saw this garden with dinosaurs. Same dinosaur display in Annam Park of Songdo. hehe!

The garden is not too big but since there weren't a lot of people, it was nice and quiet enough.

The viewing area facing the river, Naru park and BIFF.

My autumn foliage experience, I got them all from Centum City area. Hahaha!

I would actually prefer a day in a park rather than a day in a mall so finding this quiet place in Shinsegae, I was happy. Hehe! So sad lang that I wasn't able to try watching a movie there especially when Busan International Film Festival was ongoing when I was in Busan.

As far as I know, there's a also a spaland and ice skating rink here in Shinsegae.

It's not unusual to see tourists wearing Hanbok whenever they're roaming around the different tourist spots in South Korea. I haven't done that though and I didn't even think that I will also try fitting one but my friends wanted to so I went with them. :))

Yup, while I don't fancy walking around dressed in Hanbok, trying it in this room was something I wanted to do. Haha! Don't get me wrong though. I used to roam around in malls, hotels, and schools wearing hanbok before when I was still volunteering as a traditional dance dancer in Korean Cultural Center of the Philippines.

This Hanbok Experience Hall in BEXCO is a free place to try Hanbok although you'd have to go there earlier to reserve your slot just to be sure that you'll be in schedule since only one group (maximum of five persons) per thirty minutes is allowed to enter.

MORE DETAILS IN THIS WEBSITE: Korea Tourism Office

It was a weekday afternoon when we went here so there were available slots and we were only asked to wait for the next half hour before we had our turn.

Before the 30 minutes start, they first showed us some of the items on display and explained about everything.

Oppa hahahaha

For the gold hair accessory, the longer and the heavier, the higher position that lady holds. The longest above was the one worn by the queen.

For girls, make sure to bring your hair tie 'cause you're not allowed to have your hair down whenever wearing Hanbok.

I wanted to take decent pictures but I don't think I was able to. Hahaha!

Say hi to me in Hanbok and the peeping monkey socks.

30 minutes for 3 persons was enough time and we took as much pictures as we like.

I LOVE BUSAN!!!

I MISS BUSAN SO MUCH!!!

There is also a photobooth where you can take pictures with some of the tourist attractions in Busan as your backdrop. I had my picture of Centum City and Igidae for only 1,000 KRW each. Not bad!!

And actually, if you take a picture of your picture and upload it on your SNS account then you'll be getting a gift - it's a frame for the printed picture in this case.

Address: 1F, BEXCO Auditorium, 55, APEC-ro, Haeundae-gu, Busan
Directions: Centum City (BEXCO, Shinsegae) Station (Busan Subway Line 2), Exit 1. Walk for approx. 2 min.
