This is one of the nature off Las Vegas Strip attractions.

Valley of Fire is located in the Mojave Desert approximately 58 miles Northeast of the Las Vegas Strip.  Valley of Fire is the oldest Nevada State Park and was dedicated in 1935.  Valley of Fire State Park covers an area of approximately 35,000 acres.  Valley of Fire was named for the magnificent red sandstone formations that were formed from great shifting sand dunes during the age of the dinosaurs more than 150 million years ago (Mesozoic Era).  These brilliant sandstone formations can appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun’s rays.  Other important rock formations include limestone, shale, and conglomerates.
Valley of Fire is marked as Nevada Historical Marker #150 (Nevada’s First State Park).  Valley of Fire Road is the main road through the park.  The 10.5 mile (16.9 km) road connects the east and west entrances of the park and was designated as a Nevada Scenic Byway in 1995.
Prehistoric people of Valley of Fire included the Anasazi, who were famers from the nearby fertile Moapa Valley. Their visits to Valley of Fire probably involved hunting, food gathering, and religious ceremonies.  There are fine examples of rock art (petroglyphs) at several locations throughout Valley of Fire. (Info source link: here.)
I told someone that I've gone to Red Rock Canyon and Red Springs and he told me that I should check this out too since he found the rock formations in Valley of Fire more interesting than the ones in Red Rock.
Bee Hive

It's very obvious how this state park got its name - the red color of the rock appears brighter when hit by the sun's rays.
So beautiful that it felt like being in a painting.
This area has fine red sand. One of the finest sand I've stepped on.
We went up that rock that looks like a monkey.
What are Petroglyphs?
And found these Petroglyphs there.

Well maintained. I didn't see any vandalism if there was.

We have this in Angono, Rizal too just taken for granted, just snobbed, just poorly maintained, just underappreciated... parang... hahahaha.
Natural Arch
When I first read about the petrified logs, I was like, why? Are they scared? HAHAHAHA.
Turns out that petrified also means something (organic matter) that has changed into a stony substance, fossilized

I didn't appreciate it buried here but I saw some pieces on a gallery in San Diego and they were spectacular, almost looked like they're real crystals and not fossilized wood that are millions years old.
More road pictures because I'm maangas like that. HAHA. It's something to be proud of that I didn't get fined for jaywalking after all the violations I did. :)))) Jk lang! I was a very obedient tourist in the United States of America. I just can't resist a road and back picture.
Silica Dome

This is the Kiltepan of Valley of Fire.

BWISIT KAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

That Thing Called Mesheket Na </3 haha!
Two colors in one place

"Oy, yung hindi ako nakatingin."
Looking across 150 million years of time.

Everywhere is an adventure of color carved from all the sand deposited during the time when dinosaurs walked on Earth. <3

There's actually a Dinosaur National Monument where you can see fossils of dinosaurs in Utah so it's not surprising that dinosaurs were also roaming around here.

Hay, will definitely be back for more of your National Parks, Utah!! Canyonlands, Bryce, Six Arches, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon and many moreeeeeee. Huhuhu.
A part of the Rainbow Vista
Tara.
Malapit lang.
Walking distance.
Swear.
More of this please. :))

Soon. USA ver. 2.0 :))))))

This was a trail head to the White Dome ahahha. We only stayed here 'cause no one wanted to hike. Di bale, pagbalik. <3
It was almost sunset when we reached the East entrance/end of the scenic road.

One thing I liked about the Valley of Fire are the slopes making the drive on some part feels like riding a roller coaster.
Sunset. <3

We kinda had a hard time locating this elephant rock turns out we had to hike for a bit.

Haaay. Thankful. Sobra.
The rocks were not as colorful as they were because it was almost sunset when we got here but the color of the sky was beautiful that we stayed here for around 30 minutes to just look at the view.

Nice message but vandalism is definitely a no no!!!!!

This unsatisfiable craving for wide-open spaces. So parang pagkain talaga?? Haha. #valleyoffire #nevada #statepark #hiking #trekking #landscape #mountains #nature #wanderlust #travel #wheretonext #diakogutom

The walk along the Fairy Stream is the second part of a half-day tour of some of the tourist attractions in Mui Ne, Vietnam.

White and Red Sand Dunes experience: here.

The trek to the Fairy Stream is free and you don't really need a guide since you just have to follow the flow of the stream.

Despite knowing what it looks like since we saw pictures while researching, none has prepared me for the beauty that is the whole walk along the fairy stream.

While some people would say that, "Bakit sa Vietnam pa kung ganyan lang din naman pupuntahan mo? Parang Pilipinas lang." For me, Vietnam was worth every Vietnamese Dong I spent lalong lalo na sa Mui Ne. Grabe. <3

We walked barefood against the current of the stream. Ito 'yung isa sa mga lugar na masasabi mong "It's the journey not the destination." sa dulo kasi nito e merong falls pero 'yung surroundings talaga nung stream 'yung breathtaking.

Most part of the walk is covered with trees so it's not that hot even if it was almost 12 noon that time. Keep in mind that the water is not dirty. It's cool and the reason of its color is the color of the sand that's in the area.

Good thing I was wearing shorts because even if the water of the stream was only until my ankle, the way I walk might have been unique that the water still managed to reach the lower part of my long t-shirt. haha. Or maliit lang kasi talaga ko...

However, if you'll ask me about snakes that might be around this place, hindi ko naisip kaagad pero definitely meron 'yan sa paligid. Mas nakakagulat kung walang ahas sa ganitong lugar, ang mahalaga lang wag mo silang ma-encounter. haha!

This part of the stream has the best view. Although climbing the rock formation is kind of interesting, the sand is soft and crumbly so I don't think it's recommended.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Writing about this now makes me want to go back to Vietnam and... eat. Hahahha! I also fell inlove with Vietnamese cuisine by the way.

It felt so magical walking along the stream with these mountains (of clay and limestones?) beside me. I know this kind of place isn't for everyone and it isn't the usual destination of Filipinos going on an out-of-the-country trip but believe me, give Vietnam a chance. :)

For me it's Death Valley, Zion National Park and Valley of Fire in one.

Just follow the red clay and avoid rocks for a pleasant walk. The red clay is soft to walk at so that's in itself is very enjoyable already.

Maybe I didn't find the falls remarkable when I was putting watermarks in my pictures so I don't have it here.

I am not sure if the water level remains the same all through out the year.

The walk back to the jump off point was easier since you're not anymore walking against the river current.

At the end of the walk, there are vendors of snacks and refreshments in case you got hungry.

The end of a half-day tour in Mui Ne. You can avail tours for sunrise or sunset, it's just that our bus ride to Vietnam is scheduled in the afternoon so we had to sacrifice sleep and avail the sunrise tour.

This post will include the Virgin River, Temple of Shinawava, and way to The Narrows of Zion National Park.

We drove back towards the entrance of Zion.
The one in the picture is near the area of Zion Junction.

We parked our car near the museum thinking it was still open hahaha. Anyway, the musuem was the second stop of the free shuttle so we decided to wait there.

Okay, so these are the trails in Zion. :(((

We only trekked two. HUHUHU.

Did we know about this earlier that day, we could've trekked through more. :(((

Canyon Outlook Viewpoint / Trail: here.

Much better talaga to go to a 2 days, 1 night trip or more when in Zion. Even more days when in Utah. There's just too much to see in the land where life is elevated!! :(
I wasn't the only one even if I looked like it. Hehe.
While riding the shuttle, the driver narrates the places too see.
So this was the river that we were looking for - the virgin river.

It is 261 kilometers long and flows all the way to Lake Mead in Nevada. Virgin River is what carved the rocks and canyons of the area over the past million years.

The Lake Mead is near the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam.
Temple of Sinawava Area

We reached the end of this trail.

This is near the entrance of the Narrows, the place in Zion that I wanted to go to.
But the current of Virgin River was kinda strong and we weren't ready to get wet plus it was a bit past 7 PM when we got here... the last shuttle bus back the museum leaves at 8 PM so we just decided to stay for a couple of minutes there and appreciate the beauty of the area and trek back to the shuttle stop.
Haaaaay, Zion.
I'm inlove.

I'm inlove even if there was no slot canyon experience for me.
Thanking the heavens still that at one point in my life, I stood there.

Could've been my first time hiking/wading upstream a river and through the narrows of course! Hahaha!

Hiking through the narrows is actually one of the most dangerous activities you can do in Zion because the threat of flash flood. Even if it's not raining in the area, rain water from miles away could pass through the Virgin River and cause a life-threatening flash flood. Water level can increase in minutes or even seconds so hikers should check on the weather before hiking.
This marks the end of our Zion National Park Day tour. Huhuhu. Wanted to see more but we ran out of time.
It's a long drive back to Vegas Skies. <3
It felt like we didn't do a lot in Zion but out of all the lakwatsa I did, Zion was the only place we went to that made me feel so hella tired. HAHAHA. Ayun na nga. :))
