I almost forgot about this.
The experiment of PVA Glue Base Coat

I did this before I slept.

A gradient of pink to red with a glitter top coat.
I really liked how this turned out.
But then on the second day... there were already chippings.

Well, they aren't really noticeable from afar except for my right thumb.
And I just couldn't help it. I started peeling everything off.
My two days nail art.

Okay,

For those who often change their nail polishes, this is something you might want to try. You wouldn't have to frequent using acetone or nail polish removers anymore. They're drying and aren't really advised to use them often.

However, for people who prefer to have their nail polishes on for a week or more, you might just want to settle for regular base coats. But this one is really convenient for glitter polishes though.

I tried searching for the easiest way of removing glitter polish online. For those who don't know, yes, they're a beauty but the removing process is a pain! It's hard to get them off.

Here's what I found out:
One way is the foil removal method, soaking a cotton ball with polish remover, place it on top of your nail then secure with aluminum foil, wait for a few minutes then remove. That is wasteful! Not to mention, it's also drying for the nails and cuticles.

The second way I found was to use PVA glue as a base coat so you can just peel them upon removal. Well, I let that idea put to rest since I have no glue at home yet. But as I was cleaning my room, I found a large bottle of crafts glue which has been seating in my cabinet for I don't know how long anymore.

Even though I have decided to let my nails rest for the whole week, I couldn't wait to try this out and I did. The impatient me prevailed- as always.

Here are the polishes used:

PVA Glue as my base coat

OMG by Klik's Sunset

A glitter polish

Caronia Fast Dry Top Coat

THIS TURNED OUT TO BE VERY CHRISTMAS-Y.
Ang Pasko sa 'Pinas, nagsisimula pagsapit ng Setyembre naman eh. Basta -Ber month.

MESSY!

I know, right? Well, this is just an experiment.

One thing you must keep in mind though is to try your best to apply PVA glue evenly. My base color was so bumpy!
It turned into a bit orange-y probably because of the yellow glitters' effect and OMG Sunset isn't a bright red.

After applying the glitter polish and top coat, I was able to sort of even out the bumps.
Upon drying, I decided to start peeling off the glue.

And voilà!

It's really easy, much much much easier than trying to remove stubborn glitter polishes using acetone or nail polish remover.

I'm going to try this again and experiment on how well it performs as a base coat some time after my nails' rest period.

Back to Crack!

I don't know what happened but the cracked nail polish this time looked thick and more cracked, not that I hate it though.

My ring fingers had the accent nails and true enough, you'd notice them first.

Yellow and Pink matched better.

I was reading last night with table lamp as my light source and this glow in the dark nail polish was on my table. As I turned off the light to go to bed, the glow from the polish bottle was so intense. It was recharging while I was reading.
I decided to apply it on my current nail polish since I'm removing it today anyway, but... I HATE THE BRUSH!
Working with it isn't easy, I don't know how to explain it but it doesn't glide on smoothly and there were uneven surfaces. The formulation of the polish was okay, too bad it came with a crappy brush.

The polishes I used for this were from here.

... Caronia's On The Go looks like it's blue green that's leaning to green but I noticed that on some lights it just looked green.
Charging the Glow in the Dark properties...
Notice how the yellow dots of my pinky finger glowed more than the rest. This works better paired with lighter colors.
After recharging both my nails and the bottle.
And my nails stopped glowing after a while.

This nail polish looks like a clear to yellowish top coat with few shimmers (well, it's frosted),  stick with lighter base color if you want to use this as a top coat.

I am impressed, and should have been more impressed if the brush wasn't as crappy as the one I had.

For around P 30.00, I think, it brought nail polishes to a different level.
And I'm now giving my nails the break they well-deserved.

I purchased a Matte Top Coat from Etude House.
P 198.00

Sorry for the picture quality. I'm currently having my other camera repaired, and the cam that I'm using now doesn't have a macro setting.

This is my third nail art design. I had this on my finger nails for like a week.

I didn't really want to make a new one but since the polish on my left index finger chipped, I decided to and this is the end result.
I was lazy to make designs for all my 10 fingernails so I just created an accent nail design. (Yes, meganon!!)

The last two pics were after I top coated it with the Matte Top Coat, I'll be uploading a more decent picture soon, maybe on another design. (Still hoping that my Canon is repairable)

I really liked the effect of the top coat, I liked matte nail polish eversince the first time I tried it but as I looked for it, a bottle is a bit expensive so good thing I found this top coat at Etude, this saved me so much money. And, I can now mattify all the nail polishes I have.

Guess who's now starting a new collection. Hahaha.
