While I sometimes went to Karaoke places before, it was only while I was living in Busan, South Korea did I get comfortable in singing. Comfortable ha, hindi magaling. I got comfortable in having a great time in a Karaoke place even if my singing voice is not that good- either para kong tumutula or para kong umiiyak. HAHAHAHA.

Kaya ayan.

Never thought that there will be a time in this lifetime when I'd have my go-to karaoke place. HAHAHA But here it is, Karaoke Republic in Timog is a place that we frequented in the past months.

I liked Karaoke Republic because of two main things - their location and price. It's easy to locate though parking might be hard on some nights. The prices of the food packages and beer buckets are reasonable as well - hindi nakakakaba especially on looooooong nights when we decide to just make our karaoke session open time with buckets of beer dahil maraming baket. lol I just hope that they give out disposable mic covers though.

Aside from the remote, they have that tablet on the wall where you can choose songs. Waiters are fast as too - one call then they'd be at the room in no time.

There are small windows on the door but still private.

For the songs, they have an updated song choices and there are also songs from different languages.

Dahil may bagong pelikula ang Lloydie ko pero hindi ko pa napapanood. Dito muna tayo sa lugar kung saan sila nagkikita-kitang magbabarkada doon sa One More Chance, Bellini's sa Cubao Expo.

Updated 'to kasi na-post ko na 'to nung 2013. Makailang beses na rin akong nagpunta pero gusto ko ilagay ngayon 'yung mga mural sa loob ng resto. At wala lang, gusto ko lang mag drama na hindi ko pa napapanood 'yung movie :(

Sit-down restaurant ang Bellini's pero hindi naman nakaka-intimidate.

Mas gusto ko nagpupunta ng alanganing oras para wala masyadong tao. Sayang 'yung lugar kung hindi ka magmi-mini photoshoot. HAHAHA. Sanay naman na sila kuya. Di ko lang maiwasan. Kailangan ko mag-picture lalo na sa upuan ni Lloydie My Labs. <3

Isama mo siya rito. Perfect venue for a platonic date eh. Jk. This one's a good date place especially because of the ambiance. It feels high-end and private somehow but the prices are not that expensive.

Dahil bihira ako kumain ng carbonara at enjoy ko ang carbonara nila. Pang-isahan lang 'to pero pwede niyo naman i-share.

Food may be a hit or miss but so far, never disappointed with my carbonara. I just feel that it's the safest and cheapest bet out of all the food options there.

Since it's not usually packed, you can expect that the service is good especially since there's a bell in each table which you can use to call the waiter.

My friend asked the waiter if he can play the piano and so he did. Waited at this part of the restaurant for like 30 minutes and then we were given a shot of their sweet wine as a complimentary "dessert"

'Yung difference ng watermarks are signed na matagal ng nasa backlogs ko 'yung mga naunang pictures. hahaha!

Someday, matututo rin akong magluto ng carbonara. :)) lolz.

Apat na flavors 'to diba? Pero surprising, sobrang sarap ng four cheese! Tagal kong iniwasan 'yun para may laman naman 'yung pizza pero 'yung four cheese pala ang winner! :)

These days we frequent Cubao because of Cubao Expo (Bellini's etc.) and Manhattan Parkview. Aside from Bengal Brew Pet Cafe, we've also been to this Karaoke place - Karaoke Pop. Ito na ata isa sa mga pinaka-okay at pinaka-affordable na napuntahan kong karaoke dito sa Quezon City. Pero jk kasi bihira lang ako mag-karaoke. HAHAHA

While there are packages readily available for groups of 5, 10, 15 (website: here), you can also go there as time charge. Meaning that's 40 pesos/person/hour every 12:00 - 7:00 PM. That's what we availed. Yep, friends, spent P 80.00 just so I could channel my inner Kim Bok Joo.

The place is fairly new.

Karaoke is operated using a tablet and the mics have disposable covers. The soundproofing is good, lights can be dimmed, privacy is okay. And hello, it's in Araneta. GOOD AFTERNOON, ARANETAAAAAAAA!!!! Channeling my inner Anne Curtis din pala. AHAHA! :))

The 40.00/80.00 rate isn't consummable but you can order your drinks and food too.

We also had a visitor that day. lolz. Justin Bieber was the wall art of our room. Not sure with other rooms though.

... and if you think that I'm still holding on, you should go and love yourself.

With the right people, karaoke session can be so so so so so destressing!! Props na lang kulang pero havey pa rin kahit waley. Babalik talaga kami, Karaoke Pop!

Selections are pretty wide. There are Filipino, English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese songs there. Just wish there's uniformity in the input of the songs so it's not hard to search using their names. Pa-request din po ng LOST STARS PLEASE. :)))

Here's Bengal Brew, Cubao's pet cafe and the first that I was able visit.

It's named Bengal Brew so you'd expect that it's a cat cafe but they have dogs... and the dogs are the reason why I went there but on almost all the pictures I have, they were ignoring me. :))

Even though I love dogs (My friends and I used to volunteer for PAWS), I wasn't keen on visiting pet cafes since our household have eight dogs already. But, you know, it wouldn't hurt to try and visit one. Especially when it's husky, samoyed, malamute, newfoundland, etc. that we're talking about.

First-timers are asked to paid 100.00 for the a one year membership fee on top of the 199.00 (one hour access) or 299.00 (two hours access). I wasn't able to take a picture of their menu but aside from these drinks, they offer cakes and snacks too.

We breezed through the cat area 'cause I wanted to immediately see the dogs but they weren't in the mood. Nap time. haha. Better come early. They open at 2 PM and closes at 11 PM.

After spending time with the dogs, we went upstairs to have our drinks. The smaller dogs are also in the second floor.

First timers have a slice of free brownies too.

I sat on this part before realizing that this dog needs to pass by this side to get to its bed. Ang kontrabida ko ba, doggy? haha. Siya 'yung pinaka-tumatahol dun sa mga dumadaan na tao lalo na aso sa labas tapos pag relax na siya, babalik na siya sa trono niya, which means aapakan niya ko para makadaan ALL THE TIME. Long cut palagi. Hahaha

Kaso maiisip mo na masakit talaga kaya tingin ka na lang sa malayo habang tinatanong sa sarili kung, "Kailan ba 'to matatapos?"

Pero mahal mo eh. Hinahanap-hanap mo pa rin kahit alam mong masakit lang. Eng sheket. Eng sheket sheket. Hahaha. kasi naman!! Ayaw ako pansinin. :(( HAHAHA. Puro hugot na lang tuloy ginawa ko. :))

Alam mo 'yung wala talaga kong na-appreciate maliban dun sa African Wild Cat na nasa taas tapos habang tinitignan ko 'to, hala ang ganda ng pattern nila sa katawan parang cheetah!! Gusto ko tuloy bumalik para sa pusa.

Okay naman kalagayan ng dogs and cats. Hindi ganun ka-crowded saka mukha naman silang alagang-alaga at hindi stressed. Hihi. I'll be back, Bengal Brew! One year membership ba naman eh.
