Korean cafes are very common here in the Philippines these days. Aside from the food, the interiors of these Korean restaurants are also something that you'd look forward to. SHP Cafe, same with Cafe Noriter, is in Vito Cruz, Malate, Manila area. The street is P. Ocampo.

(Note: While composing this, I am listening to John Legend songs. HAHA. Why do I love torturing myself? Whyyyy? Concert tickets, please?)

This is their counter where the menu is also found. Ayun, sa taas.
They're strict when it comes to orders. Notice that they even have this "One Order, One Person" Policy. Why? Read on.
They have regular tables but they also have these "double deck" tables options (Hindi ko alam tawag, second floor tables?).

It seemed to me that this kind of interior is the trademark of Korean cafes. Wooden floors, double deck tables, cute wall paintings and designs are what you'll normally see when you visit one.
Wash area.
I forgot to look at their restroom.
Korean merchandises are for sale.
See?
The reason why they're very strict with orders is because the place would really lure you to stay longer than the time you need to eat and that's a problem especially during peak hours. In other words, masarap kasi tumambay dito kaya pag maraming taong kakain at occupied lahat ng seats, good luck sakanila.
Our orders.
Their food are also good. The prices are affordable too considering how huge one serving is.
The matcha shake was mild but I like it's glass container. hehe.
My orders were cheese ramyeon and matcha smoothie.
I forgot the prices but each is definitely under P 200.00 each.
See the bear at the back of the kimbap?
You can also request for a stuffed toy who will accompany you while you're there. hehehehe.
Those fluffy companions add to the reasons why you should visit SHP.
I posted this picture in my Facebook account since the "suicidal bear" and I were so sweet.
I referred to him as a bear 'cause I really thought he was a bear or palusot, teddy bear kasi kaya na-assume na bear and suicidal because unless you support him with your hand, he looks so sad and tired.

Then one of my friend said, "It looks more of beagle, not a dog."

We concluded that the probable reason why he's suicidal is because no one would believe that he's a bear. And the reason why he's smiling in this picture is because our group was the first to realize that he's actually a bear and not a dog. Ipipilit ko talaga na ako 'yung tama. Hahaha. Alam mo naman mga tao, judge lang ng judge ng physical appearance. Bear siya, okay, bear. Say hi to Isaac the bear for me! We believe in you, Isaac the bear! (TFIOS reference)

*The service was good. They were fast, respectful and were very understanding to their customers especially those *ehem* who transformed the entire cafe into a pictorial studio.

It's only recently that I noticed that Army Navy has been expanding or I wasn't just paying attention to A.N until they constructed Visayas Avenue branch. Here in Quezon City, there are already seven (maybe more) branches near our home. I also saw two branches in Tagaytay and three branches in Baguio last month. I am posting this here because I am amazed at how fast I noticed the expansion. Slow forevs. Hahaha.

My first time eating here was in their Taytay branch (sometime last year) and my second was in SM North, Sky Garden. La lang. Gusto ko lang i-share. Pampahaba ganyan. hahaha.

Most people go there for burgers but I go there for this.
My favorite item in their menu is this open-faced quesadilla named Querida Mia: Charlie Bravo

I know that it's not anymore surprising but I can eat all the slices on my own. I love how generous they were with the toppings - with the cheese to be exact. It's a different take on the usual quesadilla, di ba? Pero Charlie Bravo, kahit ano pa 'yang identity crisis mo... thin-crust pizza ka pa rin para sa'kin. Hahahahaha.
Blueberry Freedom Toast for dessert
Just didn't like that the toast was soft - too soft that when I slice, parang nagiging kasing nipis na rin siya ng Charlie Bravo.

I want to eat more toasts like this. Bow.  Not just from Army Navy but from different restaurants.

Buti pa kami ng matcha, meant to be forevs. :))

Picket fence has more affordable gelato offerings compared to the others I tried. They even had this eat-all-you-can gelato (June 2014) when we went there but we were too full to avail. We just got two scoops each. Sana isa pang eat-all-you-can, Picket Fence! Para naman matikman ko lahat. hehe.

I don't know the reason behind how their version of matcha gelato got its name but they named it perfectly.

ULTIMATE MUST TRY: Picket Fence's TINTIN TEA. :))

Makakalimutan mo pangalan mo sa sarap. Tatawagin mo lang ako lagi. Hahaha. Tintintintintin

Rabo Rainbow Gelato
The flavor is vanilla but the colors made it more interesting to try, right?

Eating this suddenly reminded me of an ice cream that I used to buy when I was younger. I tried searching for the name of that ice cream but I couldn't find it. I don't even know how to describe... nilagay ko lang "colorful ice cream in cone-shaped container with bubble gum at the bottom." Okay, so hinanap ko ulit. Google, bakit ka ba ganito sa'kin?! Kailangan mo pa kong pahirapan. Hindi ba pwedeng isang beses lang ako mag-search?  Hahaha.

Anyway, I found "Screwball" which has the same shape. The only difference of screwball and the ice cream of my childhood memories was the latter was rainbow-colored.

If you're looking for a delicious and affordable gelato, try visiting Picket Fence. I'm sure they have other branches in Metro Manila. Meron nga silang stall sa The Block, SM North eh.

After a long and exhausting day, all we wanted was to eat rice. We chose Japanese as our cuisine of the day and then searched for Japanese restaurants in MOA. Our first and second choices were eat-all-you-can restaurants, one was located By the Bay and the other along North Veranda. Obviously, these two restaurants weren't that appealing that day (wala siguro sa mood mag-buffet) so we went to our third choice, Yabu. Although we wanted to eat there because of the unlimited rice, the queue was just too long that it felt like we had to wait forever.

Then my friend remembered that there's a Tokyo Cafe branch in MOA. We were not convinced to try eating there at first simply because they have a branch in SM North. Haha. Seryoso, hanggang sa Tokyo Cafe ba e mas masarap pag malayo? Anyway, I think what made us decide to try dining there was their dessert choices that we didn't even got to try. -_-

I saw a matcha cheesecake and matcha parfait but I was too full to order.
I forgot the name of my Bento order and its price.
All bentos are served with rice, miso soup, salad, chilled tofu and cucumber.
Even if they don't offer unlimited rice and unlimited shredded cabbage, I found this meal so satisfying that I need not to request for more rice. The tonkatsu and tempura servings were huge that this meal can even be shared by two persons.
With reasonably-priced meals, big servings, and wide choices of main dishes, pasta, desserts and drinks, I know that this isn't the last meal that I am having there.

I am looking forward to try their matcha and sakura offerings.
