One thing that I've relearned yesterday is that I should lift all the things that I have no control of to Him. <3 Maybe, just maybe, I was forced to let go because there are other things that I should hold onto. Haaaay, I am frustrated but I'm offering this journey to You, Lord. Help me to become patient while waiting for Your perfect time. Grant me the courage and wisdom to overcome all my future obstacles.

Anyway, we went to Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage yesterday like what I told myself if ever I'll be given the chance to leave the country this year.

While eating, someone told us, "Pupunta ba kayo sa simbahan malapit sa Hinulugang Taktak? Dun nag-shooting si John Lloyd saka si Bea para sa A Second Chance."

JOHN LLOYD AND BEA.

JOHN LLOYD.

SHET.

PINAGKASALANAN NILA SA A SECOND CHANCE.
I was so excited to visit the church where Popoy and Basha got married but I got more excited when I found out that it was a parish of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, my praesidium when I was still an active legionary. Hihi.

Sorry, Mama Mary kung di kayo kaagad naisip puntahan. hehe. Kaya palaaaaaaaaaa.
The delay made sense the moment I laid my eyes on this parish. ITO NA 'YUN OH.

To give you a context, I am a fan of John Lloyd and Bea since the start of their loveteam and it has been my goal to visit the places they've gone shooting at. HAHAHAHA.

Pasig Ferry Ride
Bellini's Italian Restaurant
Paco Park
Alabang Town Center,
Petronas Towers, Malaysia

Parang last one na, Callao Cave at Tuguegarao.

Go places muna. Hi, ako nga pala si Ara. TabAra. HAHAHAHA.
GANDA!
The landmark is the Hinulugang Taktak Falls.

Funny how life works.
You lose one thing then it gives you something of more importance than what you lost. But the catch is, it's not immediately do we realize that all step backs and wins we encounter are parts of the greater plan. Haaaaaaay. Another proof that my vision is limited.

God, help me to always understand Your plan.

Thank You!
All for Your glory. <3

Popoyyyy nasannnn kaaaaaaa naaaaaaaaaaaa ❤❤❤❤❤ #asecondchance #church

Here are the churches we visited for last year's Visita Iglesia hehe posting this now because Lent 2016 has started. I'll be linking at the end of this post our other Visita Iglesias or just click the church tag in sidebar for all the churches that I've posted about.

We were only able to visit 4/7 but I'm giving you the complete list.
The churches are located on the areas where the stars are just to give you an idea but I have also embedded an interactive google map below.

For the churches, what we visited are part of the Laguna Loop or those found near/surrounding Laguna Bay. The churches are all decade old churches (built during the Spanish Colonization Era) so history-wise they're very interesting to visit as well. Even if there are a lot of stories these churches have, I won't mention their history because my goal is to just identify churches that are part of the loop.
St. John the Baptist Church
Calamba, Laguna

When we got there, it was only the time did I realize that we've already attended a mass there after swimming at a hotspring in Pansol, Laguna.
St. Agustine Church/ Simbahan ng Bay
Bay, Laguna
Interior of Simbahan ng Bay

After this, we were supposed to go to St. Anthony de Padua / Church of Pila but ironically we lost our way when we were about the visit the patron saint of those who have lost things.

We found a church on the way but it isn't a part of the Laguna Loop so I am not posting it here.
So went to Pagsanjan which turned out to be our last stop for that day because of the heavy traffic in the area. One national government official and one local government official (not naming names but may God bless their souls and their heartfelt desire to serve us Filipinos!) were there that time so they had a lot of escorts and guards that made the already crowded area more congested.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Church
Pagsanjan, Laguna
Do you also believe that lighting up candles of different colors (based on what you're praying for) is more effective than just lighting a white candle?
Altar of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church

Here's an interactive google map for your convenience because I'm feeling extra helpful today. Charot. :))) I'll try to embed maps in my travel posts from now on.

I've plotted the locations of all the seven churches.

You may click on the letters to know the names and details of the churches.

The URL of this map link: here.

Woke up early for the 6 AM Cebuano mass here in Sto. Nino Cathedral. Really thankful for being able to spend three days there in Cebu.

I may have not understood a word but I felt His presence.
From Basilica Minore, we rode a jeepney (12F) to Taboan Market, the well-known market where you can buy dried fishes. Most stores pack them in vacuum packs so you won't have problems bringing these back home.

Make sure to visit Taboan when you still have time to bathe after.

Nung first time ko dito, last stop namin to bago sa airport, hala lang. Hala talaga.

Kaya this time, I made sure to visit this morning before checking out so we'd have enough time to bathe kasi kumakapit talaga, hindi lang sa damit, pati sa buhok 'yung amoy.
And walking distance from the Basilica is Shamrock, for pasalubong again. :))

This is my second and definitely not the last time going here at the Miraculous Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu. 1-2 hours drive away from Metro Cebu, pa-South.

Compared to the first time I saw it in 2009, it now looks like a castle more than a church.
Someday! Makakasama rin ako sa isang pilgrimage to Holy Land or Europe. Kakayanin ko 'yan financially. Huhuhaha!! Claim lang ng claim pa rin! Ayoko isipin na impossible. :))))
We arrived there a bit past noon, a little late for the mass but attended nonetheless. I didn't understand a word though since it was conducted in Cebuano but it's nice to once in a while attend a mass held in a different language.

MASS SCHEDULE:
Sunday – 12:00 nn and 3:30 pm
Monday to Friday – 12:00 nn
Saturday – 10:30 am
13th of the month (I think this is a healing mass) – 10:30 am & 3:30 pm
Upon seeing these letters of thanksgiving for their "miracles".

I kind of asked, "Bakit ako, wala?"

Then I saw my reflection in the glass and that's it - that moment was my miracle. Aside from being able to go back there, ayun na ako oh. Malabo pa man pero may direksyon na. Matatagalan pa man pero I'm on my way. 'Yun naman 'yung dinadasal ko dati lagi eh. Oy, pero walang emote emote 'yun ah hindi tipong, who is that girl I see staring straight back at meeee.

AT

It's my miracle to be back there after 5 years with the people I've been wanting to show the world to.

It's my miracle that I've been to many places and experienced many things. I'm not rich so funding my lakwatsas is definitely a challenge. Again, it's my miracle that I am able to make this work.

It's my miracle that I've gone through a lot of challenges and yet after everything, I'm still standing strong - stronger than ever that is.

Ikaw? Ano 'yung mga daily miracles mo? :)

I'm happy for everyone who've given and showed proof of their life's miracles by writing letters/leaving their wheel chairs which are currently on display at the shrine but more than that, I'm happy for myself because even if I forget sometimes, I've long realized that my life is my miracle and I'm consistently thanking God for this.

 "E
very moment of our lives is a miracle."
This place is perfect for everyone especially for Marians because the shrine have a lot of Mama Mary images displayed in the second floor of the church.
Until next time, Simala Shrine!!!

Ayun eh. Ako na rich kid. HAHAHAHAHA. Jk lang pero malay naman natin!! :))

More Photos from Boljoon Church link: here.

We headed to Boljoon Church after swimming with the whale sharks.

I kept on pronouncing this as BOL-JUNE but I learned that it should be pronounced as BOL-HO-ON.

Boljoon Church is also known as the Our Lady of Patronage of Mama Mary and was built in the 18th century
This is one of the oldest church in the Philippines.
Ang ganda sa Boljoon!

Seaside sa kabila then mountain range 'yung sa kabila. I heard that there's more to visit in this town in term of heritage tourism but we had to leave to go to Simala.

Decided to post this to update the daily mass schedule in Monasterio de Sta. Clara and because I am hoping for an exceptionally good weather for the next three days. Exceptional talaga. hahaha. Aside from the petitions from board exam takers, Monasterio de Sta. Clara is a well-known place where people offer eggs to pray for a good weather. Kaya ayan. Pls. Nice weather this weekend sana.

The link of my first post: here.

And below is just a photo essay. :))

This is actually a weird wishing fountain because you'd see a lot of coins on top of the fountain. As if their wishes have a bigger possibility of coming true if they throw and shoot the coins there.
The church gets so packed especially during Sunday masses so be sure to arrive on time. Seats are provided outside but it's more comfortable to sit inside.
Here is their current mass schedule.

Pencils and papers are provided.

Pls. Good weather pls. :))

People would usually light up a candle for a wish and a prayer here.
