'Yung hirap, 'yung walang direksyon, 'yung walang magawa.

"9. MAKE IT A HABIT TO 'ASK THE LORD'.

“Dear young people,” he says, “some of you may not yet know what you will do with your lives. Ask the Lord, and he will show you the way. The young Samuel kept hearing the voice of the Lord who was calling him, but he did not understand or know what to say, yet with the help of the priest Eli, in the end he answered: 'Speak, Lord, for I am listening' (cf. 1 Sam 3:1-10). You too can ask the Lord: What do you want me to do? What path am I to follow?”"

Thank you, Pope Francis for your visit but the real battle is not outside but inside us. It's our old selves that we must conquer. It's ourselves that we must change.

After posting how much you cried when you saw the pope, what do you plan to do next? What are you doing now?

I was thinking of composing this saying how blessed I feel but right now? I feel nothing but pain and shame. I'm in pain because I feel that I need to do something yet I don't know where to start and shame because the pope's visit magnified the innumerable problems our country has. :(

Alam mo 'yun, pagkatapos niya magsalita, pagkatapos natin maiyak at sabihing na-inspire tayo... ano? :((

Maginhawa street here in Quezon City is  filled with restaurants of different concepts, most of them affordable if not cheap.

I found myself frequenting the area last December which explains why until now, I am still posting backlogs.
Cakes here at the Baker's Table are inspired by the candies of our childhood.
It was actually my brother's idea to try eating here because of his favorite haw haw candy. He was so curious as to how the candy was made into a cake.
I found the hawhaw cake okay but I liked this more.

Butterball Caramel Cake

Butterball and Hawhaw almost tasted the same just that, I think the cream and butterball taste complemented each other better. Mas bagay sila, ganyan.
Milo Mousse which was too rich for my liking.
We went there before Christmas that is why we were given a free slice of their Puto Bumbong cake to try. HAHAHAHA. Alam mo 'yung more than one month na pala 'to delayed.
GRABE TALAGA. HAHAHAHA.

SOBRANG WALA NA KO MASABI, GUYTH. I am sorry that this is of no help. :)))

Pero 'yun nga.

Cake? Try Baker's Table.

There are lots of restaurants in Maginhawa so it's normal for people to have their 1st round, 2nd round, nth round when eating in the area.
First stop was Katsu Cafe.
I don't remember the exact taste of this meal but I also don't remember liking this a lot.

What I remember is how hard it was to catch the waitress' attention when there are only two tables that were occupied. Mej madaldal si Ate at si someone from the kitchen.
A Taste of Heaven Milkshakes

I didn't like the taste of the milkshake because it was too sweet for my liking.
But strangely, I liked this even though the ice cream they used for this and for the milkshake was the same.
I know that the name doesn't mean stupid but it really catches attention.  Haha!
I liked their brick oven pepperoni pizza even more after adding salt and pepper because I found it bland at first.

I've actually gone there thrice already so I've also tried Bobo's Special and Quattro Formaggi both of which I liked more than the Pepperoni Variant.

HAHAHAHA. :)))

Try these too when you go on a Maginhawa Food Trip.

I've been seeing this restaurant for years now since this is in front of the Korean Eat-All-You-Can Restaurant that we used to frequent, Don-Day.

HAHAHA. K. Fine. As if may pagkakaiba e hindi pa rin naman ako maayos mag-describe.
SISIG

This was my order but it was the one I liked the least because it was too spicy and too oily (for me).
The mango bits in the rice made this meal more interesting.
Nakakasuya pag medyo marami ka ng nakain but still better than sisig.
Bagnet Kare-Kare

This was my sister's meal but this is the one I liked best.

The bagnet (it was more like lechon kawali actually) was fried just right that it's skin was crunchy yet the meat was still tender. Although it's not as flavorful on its own, mixing it with the Kare-Kare sauce made it taste a whole lot better - complementing ganyan. I think that it was better that way so as it won't overpower the taste of the Kare-kare sauce. If this actually made sense. :))

Happy New Year!! Wishing you all the best for this year!

First and foremost, 2014 was by far my best year yet. Sabi ko nga, I may have had some bad days and experienced heartaches (hindi lang romantic kind) but I've felt several moments of ecstasy.

My five G's for 2014.

1. Gapang
2. Gastos
3. Gala

Gapang for all the "normal" days. Won't get into details. :))

Gastos. DUH. Won't get into details. :))

Gala. Super detailed: Click here. :))

And the fourth and fifth words? GRACE and GRATITUDE.

As I was looking back on how great (Oh, that's another G) 2014 was, I couldn't help but ask myself how in the world were those things possible and how was I able to get through with them. I may have posted a lot of things and events that happened in my life here but they're just the things that I was comfortable in sharing. For all that had been posted here and the rest that were left unshared, it was through His Grace that I was able to make it until now and for that I'll be forever Grateful.

In all honesty, I couldn't help but be anxious of our uncertain future. Will there be greater things that's going to happen? This is an absurd question though for I shouldn't worry that much. No matter happens in the future, no matter what kind of decisions I'll make, or no matter how many times I'd stumble and fall; I'm sure that He'll pick me up and help me stand again.

When the clock struck 12 last night, I looked at the night sky with all the fireworks that lit it and I was beyond happy.

The Tin that was looking at all of those fireworks last night isn't the Tin that looked at the fireworks last New Year's Eve. I'm still a work in progress but I have come so far. Hindi ko man kaya i-point out lahat ng changes pero nagbago na talaga ko kahit papano sa lagay na 'to- better na ako na 'yung nagsusulat nito. Hehe! Wooo, Congrats naman sa'kin! At sa'yo na rin kung napagtya-tyagaan mo 'tong basahin :)))

Although my hope is to reach more places this year (explorelovehappinessmoney2015!), I kind of have this part of me that says, "Let's make this year less about you and more of others." I don't know how, I really don't, but isa po, God, sana kung makaalis man ako ulit ng maraming beses ngayong taon ay may mga puso po akong matutulungan at mai-inspire. Sabi nga ni Robert Powell, "Leave this world a little better than you found it." Sana... :))

Ay, I'll share with you something that I've read:

2015 is the year God will shift things in your favor. He is lining it all up. What you could not make happen on your own, God will cause you to accomplish. It will be bigger than you thought. It will happen quicker than you imagined, and it will be more rewarding than you ever dreamed possible.

Woooooooooo grabe! Buti pa kami may anniversary! Cheers to my fourth year of blogging and another chance to become better at this. HAHA!

I declare that 2015 will be my miracle year.
Here's to endless possibilities and seizing opportunities. God Bless us!
