Green Tea and Bamboo Charcoal Ice Cream? Unfortunately not. :(

It was Bamboo Charcoal and Queso de Bola that day. :(((
I've been doing groceries in almost all grocery stores near me since the old Cherry Foodarama closed and one of those that I am frequenting is Walter Mart in Munoz so I got the chance to go here since this is near the building of Walter Mart.

Loyal ka for several years dun sa nawala, remember?!

I will blog about the groceries I liked the most soon but the feels and the hassles I've experienced, I am posting them now. Haha!

Napagod ako at nainis kasi nga nagsara 'yung Cherry lalo nung unang naga-adjust pa, parang napaisip kang bakit nga ba hindi mo mas pinahalagahan nung andyan pa.

Nga pala, here are the grocery stores in order of my preference: Waltermart in Munoz, Mercado in UPTC, Landmark in Trinoma, S&R Membership Shopping in Congressional and, Rustan's in Powerplant.
It was during the Christmas season when I went here which is why they had Queso de Bola instead of matcha. But anyhow, for a 25.00 swirl-all-you-can ice cream, this is a good deal.

If you're wondering what the charcoal tastes like, it tasted like a vanilla ice cream with black food coloring.

I've tried to research on this and found out that charcoal is actually being used as a food ingredient nowadays but I am not sure if this has real charcoal powder in it.

Here's another food park in Quezon City, Urban Eats which is just two jeepney rides away from my house. (Dahil kailangan ko pa talaga sabihin 'yan...)

Isn't it surprising how Congressional Avenue has transformed into what it is now? Well, sige, pati Visayas Avenue at Mindanao Avenue. Because of this, we must be happy that we are having more and more restaurant choices here in the North. Kami naman dayuhin niyo, South people. haha!

Anyway, here are some pictures from that super kaduper filling night at Urban Eats.

The interior is well thought of and you can find wall arts everywhere.

As for the areas, they have an airconditioned area, smoking area, garden area. Iba iba. All in one.
Smoked Farmers
Lemon Grass Pork Belly

This one's flavorful and I find the dip very interesting. I can't distinguish what the spices used were but it complemented the pork well.
Ilocos Empanada. <3

Farinas Ilocos Empanada's stall is open 24 hours, while the others are from 3PM - 2AM.
Smore's
Chocolate Mousse
Loaded fried!
Loved this.
This is one of those that I liked the most but I wasn't able to get the name of this dish.

This is from the Mexican food stall and based from experience, my cousin was able to successfully order is just by saying, "'Yung maliit na roll na may laman sa gitna pero hindi burrito." Yup hahaha. Ganyan ako kagaling mag-describe but it worked so....
Urban Hits @ Urban Eats

Thumbs up for the free acoustic night every Saturday!
I don't know what this looks like now since this post is a month delayed but yup, go na here with your forever!
Samgyeopsal minus the smell of smoke from WYK Korean Resto

We were also able to taste their Spicy Pork and I liked that as well. :))
Also one of those that I liked most.

Spicy Salmon Tartar Ebi is an appetizer from Nihon Ryori
Beef Float from Quench
That's what I am talking about oh, albeit blurred, I'm sure the wall art is still obvious.
Hainanese Chicken, Scallops Florentine, Chicken Lettuce Cup of Valentina's

My favorite among the three is the Scallops Florentine.
Bacon Wrapped Tuna from Nihon Ryori
We were also served longganiza pizza with this Ilocos Empanada. Huhu. Love this to the last bite! I frequent their branch in Visayas Avenue so this isn't something new to me but one thing's for sure, this never fails to make happy. Hehe!
The dip from Smoked Farmer's was really interesting.
Shrimplet Gladiator of Hungry Knights
This has just the right amount of creaminess which is made more balanced by the diced carrots and corn kernels. The shrimps were also cooked well and doesn't have that rubbery texture.
So cute these drinks.
FISH BOWL ICED TEA

Capital letters para intense. Hehe. Just wish they had a special straw with this huge serving of iced tea.

These are only some of the food offered there so visit and I'm pretty sure you'd find something that you like.

They are open everyday from 3PM to 2AM except for Farinas Ilocos Empanada that is open for 24 hours.

Thank you Ms. Hazel and Aldous for this event! :)

This happened a week before going to Aozora Japanese Cafe + Bistro. Yup, kailangan isingit because Aozora has become one of my favorite restaurant in Tagaytay.
I think Bag of Beans have three branches in Tagaytay. This is the one near the Rotonda.

The exterior and interior of the restaurant look homey and very cozy. I don't know about you and I don't know if this is an okay description pero very Tagaytay ang place. Hahaha. Ganyan talaga ko kagaling mag-describe e, ano magagawa natin. :))
View from the restaurant though I couldn't locate where Taal Volcano is in this picture. Haha!
They were drying the paint of these chairs so we only stayed there for around 5 minutes to take pictures. Just when you're expecting that you get to see an overlooking view, you're forced to stay inside. Yup. Probably not the best day to visit.
This was my order.

Chicken Adobo

I was suprised the moment this arrived on our table because the serving is huge! Though there wasn't anything special, this tasted good and the chicken was soft.
Just look at the huge serving in Bag of Beans. Haha.

Maybe it's because it has been like two months since our visit that I can't comment anything more than the serving size.

Balik na lang ako hehe. A friend of mine told me that I should try their drinks, breads and desserts especially their cheesecakes.

Will post about Cliffhouse soon. :))

a.k.a Pilillia Windmills, Rizal

Now you don't have to travel all the way to Bangui to see windmills because there is a closer wind farm in Rizal with only around 2-3 hours travel time from Manila.

If you've been to Regina Rica, Daranak Falls, Batlag Falls or anywhere in Upper Tanay, Rizal, it will be easier for you to navigate. There's only one drop off point for jeepneys so I'm sure that you're already familiar with the place. If not, it is still very easy to find.

How to go to Pililla Wind Farm:

 Commute:

From Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall, ride a jeep to Cogeo Gate 2. (Around P 15.00/person)
From Cogeo, ride a jeep to Sampaloc in Tanay, Rizal. (Around P 65.00/person)

There's also a terminal at Starmall, Shaw going to Tanay Public Market although that is something I wouldn't take because the route would still pass to several municipalities such as Teresa and Baras. Passing through Marifanta/Marilaque road is my thing. hehehe.

At the jeepney drop off point, tricycles that can take you to the Windfarm abound. I am just not sure about the rated but they were also offering ride to Daraitan. Huhubells. Somedayyyyy. I really love Sierra Madre Mountain Range. <3

We passed by the wind farm on our way back to Manila after hearing mass at Regina RICA. :)))
Ayan na sila.

Although not as big as the ones in Bangui, Ilocos pwedeng pwede na. Iba naman 'to kasi nasa bundok.
Everytime I see these windmills, humahaba talaga leeg ko para mas makita ng maayos. haha. K. Mga trip ko sa buhay eh.
Ang dami.

I saw the Bangui Windmills in 2013 nung isang line palang sila. The last time I heard about Bangui, meron na rin daw naka-scatter na windmills. Scatter talaga. hahaha! Pero unlike Ilocos na para ang hirap pag sunset ka pupunta, I think one of the best times to go here is during sunset.
Kasi from there, overlooking din ang Laguna Bay.

For other infos about these windmills, di ko na ilalagay muna. Sa susunod na lang pag makabalik ako.
Bye, Windmills.
Until next time.

2013
2014
2015

Because this has become an annual tradition for me that I am posting this despite the loads of backlogs! Hahaha.  I definitely need to come up with a better (blogging) schedule/ better time management skills and all. Ang gulo ng everyday! Actually, ang gulo ng everything! Kakaloka! :))
 I

BUT WAIT. Have you let it sink in that in less than two weeks, it's already 2016? NO? IKR! Are we just too busy or the days pass quickly? Haaay! -_-

"I THINK AS YOU GROW  OLDER YOUR CHRISTMAS LIST GETS  SHORTER, BECAUSE THE THINGS THAT YOU WANT CAN'T BE BOUGHT."

Actually, unlike my 2012 post which was full of material things, wala talaga akong maisip na isulat dito ngayon. Tumatanda na nga...

But for an update from my post last year:

1. I got a Sony TX30 camera. Skills pala talaga may problema. Haha! Also, I changed my phone last May. Nag goodbye ako sa Sony Xperia ZR, I now own a Z3. Unplanned sobra pero keribells hihi. <3

2. Still continuing my monthly contribution at World Vision Philippines. Again, my wish is more funds so I can continue being a sponsor.

3. I was able to plant a tree. lol. Big deal. Talaga ba. As if naman nabuhay 'yon. haha!

4. Hindi na ko nakabalik ng PAWS. :( Sad talaga pero I think factor dito was because one of my dogs died last February. Ewan. Anyway,  I'm wishing of finding a cause that I can volunteer to na even if may pain akong maramdaman, I will continue ganyan.

5. Paka-explorer pa rin. Haha. Charot! Hahaha. I wish to visit more places, meet more people, and experience a lot of new things next year. Gala talaga kong bata. Haha! Arte much.

6. Health, Safety, Financial Stability, and God's favor.

Waley talaga. hahaha! Waley ako maisip na material thing na gusto ko pero if ever I'd need something, meron naman 'yon at darating naman 'yon. Kagaya ng sinabi ko last year, "In God's perfect time."

Although I have an idea, the details are obviously vague but one thing is for sure; I need to become a better and stronger person. Kaya my wishes for next year (and beyond) are to always have the will and motivation to keep going, to continuously find things to be grateful for, to always have patience, courage, open mind, and confidence.

Sabi nga,

"Don’t wish it was easier, wish you were better. Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills. Don’t wish for less challenges, wish for more wisdom. The major value in life is not what you get. The major value in life is what you become. Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you become."

Kaya natin 'to! :)
Ngayon pa ba tayo susuko? :)))))

We are given this life because WE ARE strong ENOUGH to live it. Hehehe. God bless! Whoever you are, I am praying for you. Santa levelz? I know right pero seryoso kasi. hehe!

Here's to the great persons we will become.
Here's to a KABOGERANG 2016! <3

Dahil buti pa si #santa e rosy cheeks at dahil 5/31 na ng #December nang ganun ganun lang.😱 Good night/ good morning👌 #christmas #vibe #manila, #philippines
