Did you know that no one cleans after you whenever you dine in a fast food or food court in the States? Unlike in the Philippines where we just leave our mess in the tables for the staff to clean, the usual practice in the States is eat (with or without your food tray), then be the one to buss out and make sure the table is clean for the next customers to use. ClayGo.

Anyway, just felt like mentioning that because the main reason why I am posting this is to show you the mosy unique Mcdonald's branch that I have gone to ever. I am not sure where exactly is this one but this is in San Diego, California.

Their restroom looks like a five-star hotel restroom. If I show this to people telling them this was in a Mcdonald's branch, how many of them would believe me?

It is European-styled and very classy. The interior reminds me of the Caesar's Palace Hotel in Las Vegas.

There's even a fountain in the center of the dining area.

Mirrors and paintings in a gold frame are hung on walls.

Chandeliers for the light.

See, it felt like Europe hahaha.

What Mcdo? Are you telling me Europe's going to be next??? HAHAHA. :))

Well, the food that you are to find here are similar to the offerings of other Mcdonald's in the States. The interior just make this a lot more special. Have you been to other unique Mcdonald's branch? If yes, where and what makes it unique? :)

And the strawberry picking that I never had the chance to do in Baguio, I was able to do in Carlsbad, California. I first saw the strawberry field when we went to Legoland.

Back then, we didn't have the time to do this activity 'cause we still had to drive back to Las Vegas and were were already returning late. I don't recall what part of my stay did they got to know that I love strawberries but I'm thankful that they did. haha! When it was mentioned by my Uncle that we could stop by the field that morning before heading to Del Mar County fair in the afternoon, I was like, "OMG Let's go po!" Hahaha. I only asked for two items in the itinerary they've prepared for my visit; this strawberry picking and a dinner at a Korean restaurant. HAHAHA! Yan tayo eh. Basta pagkain. :))

I remember when were walking under the intense heat of the sun at Bad Water Basin, Death Valley National Park, a Chinese tourist talked to me and showed me how covered she was. She was wearing shades, big hat and long sleeves, and all I had with me back there was my shades thus she might have felt the need to catch the attention of the underdressed tourist.

When I sent a picture of this to my friend, he was like, "Chinese tourist ka na ba dyan?" Hahaha!

Staying in San Diego felt a lot different from staying in Las Vegas. Vegas (especially the strip) felt so commercialized and busy, San Diego felt so laid back. Another factor was that, we didn't go to the busy areas. Even their downtown, I only saw across the river.

Yes, madam?

The picking costs $10 per person but you can eat as much strawberry as you wish while in the field. hahaha! I didn't even know if it was a strawberry picking or strawberry eating contest that I was doing. You can't blame me though, I love fresh strawberries. :))

I only got this much strawberries but I don't know how many pieces I ate in between the picking. hehe! Soon, orange picking in Sagada please, life!! hehehe

Waking up in San Diego was the reality that it's over. Haha! I really feel that I messed up this time, I have to be better should I be given the chance to experience this kind of lifestyle one more time. But this is it's end. I'll be better.

Amazing that only four hours away and the weather was completely different. I was hot in humid when I left Vegas but I had to wear jacket while I was in San Diego 'cause it felt so cold.

Teasing me because almost all I visited in the states were mountains, my aunt and my uncle took me to Mt. Soledad Memorial Park. haha! Mahilig daw kasi ako sa bundok.

This hill also served as a memorial site for the war veterans though I heard that the cross has some sort of controversy.

Salute.

Overlooking San Diego and the Pacific ocean whilst surrounded by fog. <3

Goodbye.

After checking out at Planet Hollywood Hotel, I ate lunch first at a Filipino buffet somewhere in Maryland Parkway.  I was having mixed emotions that moment while we were driving from the strip to Maryland.

I was leaving Las Vegas, my first home away from home, without knowing if I'll ever have the chance to go back so I was kind of heartbroken. At the same time, I was happy and kind of excited about the next journey that I am to experience - wherever that will be.

Last glimpse of the Paris Hotel along Las Vegas Strip. I kind of saw a picture of the hotel casinos in Macau and I believe that the hotels there are kind of similar to the hotels in Vegas.

Arc de Triomphe

Someday!!

Las Vegas has a lot of replicas of tourists spots that can be found in Europe. Hehe. This is hoping that I'll be able to set foot and bring my family to Europe come 2018. So tataya muna ko sa lotto. But in all seriousness though, I wish that in this lifetime, I'll be given the chance to bring my mother to Europe. I wish for her to go to France and that we can see the churches of Lourdes, Fatima and the Miraculous Medal there.

The night before my departure to San Diego, California. I have purchased a one-way bus ticket to Anaheim (Disneyland Area) that was to depart at 3 PM here in California Hotel at Fremont.

When you look at the strip at this area, it looks like it's so small but then again, I wasn't able to explore all the hotels there. I'm not sure why we did that but we somehow concentrated on the hotels at the North part of Las Vegas Boulevard from Fremont to Cosmopolitan Hotel.

Funny how I can still remember the feeling of astonishment when I first saw Las Vegas at night from the hotel that I checked in at when I arrived there. Grabe! And when this gets posted, six months have already passed since that night. Sobrang bilis, life!

Bye, Interstate 15!!!!! :(

I miss the 45 minutes bus ride from the interstate to the city. :(

Approaching the Nevada - California Stateline, you are to see four hotels. This, Goldstrike, which I wasn't able to go to. Well, we were but we decided to go straight to Fremont.

Also, there's Primm Valley Resorts and Casino, Buffalo Bills, and Whiskey Pete's.

This place will also be your last chance of shopping with big discounts before heading back to California. Some stores in Fashion Outlet at Primm even have bigger discounts compared to the outlet stores that I was able to go to for both Nevada and California.

Thanks for being my home, Desert Oasis.

Looking at this for the last time back then, I was already feeling numb tbh. I was really hurt, I mean I got attached to the lifestyle I had in the states (though I'm over it na), so leaving even if I was expecting it to happen eventually kind of felt that I left too soon. Pero diba, smile because it happened? :)

I am still thankful though it wasn't all good memories and in the span of three months I got to get to know a different side of me. Makakasurvive pala ko. Hehehe.

It's really a good thing that it was Vegas - the Sin City - where I ended up going to.

We had a quick bus stop-over in Barstow so I was able to grab some fries and chicken nuggets at McDonald's. I sent a picture of this to my friend back in the Philippines and she was like, "So move on na nga?" Coincidentally, the current commercial of Mcdo that month was all about moving on. hahaha!

The bus was moving fast and my camera isn't hi-tech enough to capture the beauty of the moon but this was the strawberry moon. I left Las Vegas at the first day of summer (it was 110 Farenheit that day)  The reason why the moon was special because it fell on the first day of summer, something that hasn't happened since 1948.

The moon was really beautiful. I know this would sound weird but it felt like the moon was saying bye to me to 'cause in our apartment complex in Nevada, I always looked up at night to see the stars and the moon.

I want to be positive and think of the possibility of being able to go back in Las Vegas in the next few years. And just like song of The Cab, it may be "a long ride back to Vegas skies."

I'll show you how Maybelline's Creamy Matte Brown in Nude Nuance and Clay Crush look on me.

Ever since I started wearing lipstick, I always go to the bolder and brighter shades so it was usually just red and coral shades for me especially since my lips are so pale. Link: here. But because more and more people have been telling me that I look kinder if I'm not wearing red lipstick, I'm trying to get used to brown and nudes. 'Yung totoo!!! HAHAHA

I love the feel of using creamy mattes. They're very easy to apply and not drying on the lips. I usually shy away from matte lipsticks (except Colourpop. Natitiis ko. haha) if I can so I am loving Creamy Matte's formulation because it's like the love child of a satin and a matte lipstick. Sige na nga, bes! Demi-matte kasi ata tawag dito.

I have pale lips so usually, any color goes.

I am not sure if the color turn out will be the same for those who have more pigmented lips.

Clay Crush

In all fairness to me, I don't know how to describe colors. So I'm really just showing you pictures.

I was out with my usual pale lips 'cause I was eating (not surprising!) then as I brought this out to retouch and used it on my lips, everyone was like, "OMG! Ang ganda!" OMG ANG GANDA KO?! THANK YOU! HAHA.

The reason why I got this shade was when I saw this on Georgina Wilson. However, the color appeared darker on her compared to me cause mine looked exactly how it is in the tube. Not that I hate it how it turned out on me but that had me searching for a darker brown lipstick. lol.

Posted this in Facebook and this was the caption:

My hands had a lot of small wounds a few months back because of the allergic reaction I got from continuous wearing of latex gloves. Didn't pay much attention to it until I was looking at this picture but the wounds are all healed, skin isn't dry and scaly, and surprisingly no scars were formed.
It takes time but isn't it amazing how our bodies are able to heal itself? It takes faith but isn't it comforting to know that someday things will get better?

HAHAHAHA.
Push 'yang hugot kahit saan.

Nude Nuance on the left, Clay Crush on the right

The two Creamy Mattes swatched on my arm.
