Disneyland a.k.a The Happiest Place on Earth

I don't know about you but I'm not one of those kids who dreamed of going to Disneyland. haha! But it still was amazing that I was able to go here once in my lifetime (or twice, or thrice) Given the chance to choose between an amusement park and a National Park, I'll choose the latter every single time. But heck, I'm in Anaheim, California with free Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park tickets so why not go?! Aarte pa, Tin?

Hong Kong Disneyland nga lang dati parang napaka-impossible na isipin eh. <3 Thank you, universe!!!!

This day was when I got darkest! Sobrang intense ng tanline ko after even if I applied sunscreen.

<3

And I'm not into movies so hahahaha I enjoyed the rides but it would have been better had I known the references.

This was my second favorite ride. HAHAHA!!! I can ride this for more than 10 times I swear.

Yay!

I miss my necklace though.

Straight outta cars movie.

Was too shy to ask them to take pictures of me! hahahahaha! Okay lang, selfies. Give me a new phone, life.

Because I'm in the happiest place on earth! <3

My favorite ride!!

I can ride this for more than 100 times. It felt like flying in the galaxy. I was told that the theme changes so I felt kind of lucky that it was Star Wars themed that time.

Fireworks display to mark my last night in the United States of America. </3

I should have taken a picture in the morning before my face got too oily. HAHA

Just wanted to show you the starbucks logo right there.

I told myself that I'll be blogging more while staying here in Haeundae, South Korea... I don't know. Just to have a journal of my thoughts in the next several days since I'll be staying here for a whole month.

My Cebu Pacific flight from NAIA Terminal 3 was on time so I was able to catch the last limousine bus from Incheon International Airport to East Busan. The ride took five hours and we were in the East Busan station at 4:30 in the morning; I was asleep the whole travel time so I didn't know where it passed.

This signage above was taken in the rest stop though I didn't go down since I couldn't understand the driver's instructions. lol. Anyway, the bus was comfortable; it's still a good thing that I was able to ride it than wait until 5:00 AM for the first KTX (Bullet Train).

...

The bus station was connected to a train/subway station so getting to where I am staying was easy as well. It took an hour but I only had to transfer once so it was a bit comfortable as well. Nakakapagod syempre, kasi walang maayos na tulog but bearable. Always naman kasi I love long comfortable bus rides.

I slept the whole morning and while I was getting ready to go out of the hostel to grab some lunch, one of my dorm roommates whom I met for the first time that morning told me that she's thinking of climbing the mountain that was near our place. And I was like, "I want to go too!"

Little did I know that after having our brunch, we were already heading to the mountains. HAHAHA! The jump off point was just like a 10-20 minutes walk from where I currently live.

I am not sure what those trees are but they look like maple trees and they're starting to change colors. <3 This is the exact season/scene that I want too see, I'm glad some trees are changing colors already even if it's just the first half of September.

We couldn't reach the top since we were out of time but I'll make sure that I will return here before I leave... we just stopped at this part that looks like or that is a stream of big rocks before heading back down.

From where I currently live, Haeundae Beach is just around 10 minutes walk so we went there last night at around midnight. You'd notice the containers there and they were setting those up for BIFF 2018/ Busan International Film Festival. I am not sure how it goes but it's going to happen on the first week of October.

This place so reminded me of San Francisco, California because it's by the beach and fog envelopes the city on most times these days.

During those times when you can't help it but be alone on this chosen life of yours, you ask yourself if it's worth it or what it is that you're actually doing...

The people I met here in Busan have way different travel style from the people I met in Thailand. It's probably because we're all smitten by South Korea's charm that most of them have stayed/ have been staying for more than a month now so most of them have become friends already even if they were solo travelers initially. My visa allows me to stay for 30 days which I plan on maximizing, but their passport allows them to stay for 90 days. Kk. Hindi ko naman din afford mag 90 days. lol.

However, just like how the USA felt like home, I don't try to reach for my camera as often I should and would when I'm out of the country. Haha! I'm trying thooooo, mas maganda pa rin ang marami kesa kulang.

Some people would share things like, "you can't get your money back, but not your time" tho sometimes, I can help it but question if this is worth it.. I mean, para saan, diba?

After all the questioning, I see this map by the road and then again think to myself that everything may be worth it because of all these beautiful places... because no matter how uncomfortable things, situations, some people can get... I chose this and this is where I wanted to be in for the longest time... diba, be grateful na lang. <3

And I may not have notice it but I'm pretty sure that I'm getting stronger each day... hopefully, questions will have answers after this Sojourn. :))) Kaya I need to do this blogging again quite often.

Or maipilit lang? :))

So the, "Update this blog as often as I can" was that once a month post when I was still in the USA.

Three months in USA was definitely not the "life" I had imagined hahahahaha it was waaaaaaaay more dramatic and more spontaneous than what I was thinking of before I left the Philippines. It's the kind of lifestyle I have never expected to adjust to that easily. It's the kind of lifestyle I never thought I can survive- but what's more amazing is I know I thrived. But maybe it's also because I've met the right people too that I was able to enjoy that much.

At first, I knew where I was going (Nevada-California Stateline) but aside from that, I didn't know anything that I was about to do and experience. I left it all to fate, seryoso. Since I didn't have my laptop with me and the internet connection wasn't really stable from where I lived, I now kind of regret not blogging when the feelings and events were "fresher," but then again everything that happened I am more than grateful to cherish them through pictures and in my heart and mind. <3

Hello naman sa Instagram account ko, achieve all the geotag goals!!! HAHAHA. I didn't upload because I wanted a feed filled with my US travels but because I wanted to geotag the photos. Like what I've said before, whenever I feel sad, looking at all those photos makes me happy.

You will always be my home, Las Vegas!!!!

Before I left, I can tell you that I am that kind of person who is used to being alone. But in Vegas? I became that kind of person who is comfortable being alone. There's
a big difference. I felt perfectly fine with my own company, like it's the most natural thing in the world.

The first few days being there, I was talking to someone and I told her na "Parang di ko kaya 'yun, 'yung mag-isa ka lang as in the whole day ka mag-isa nang walang kausap." She told me, "Why? There's nothing wrong with that. Hindi naman kailangan all the times e may kasama ka't kausap. Ganyan ako minsan and I don't care." Fast forward to the me who's typing this kung pwede ko lang siya ulit kausapin, "Oo nga. I don't care too."

One of the posts I read before I left was the Staying Philosophy and I quote, "
you don’t just find love, adventure or freedom. More than anything, you find you."

I am glad that in just three months, I found all four and this is the reason why leaving was very hard to do that I got sick when I was packing my things and felt even worse when I arrived in the Philippines. But I am okay now, needed the weekend to rest, move on, and accept that I am here again. May in denial phase ba talaga ganon?!
"You get a strange feeling when you leave a place. Like you'll not only miss the people you love, but you'll miss the person you are at this time and place because you'll never be this way ever again." Thank you, #lasvegas❤❤❤ I would stay and love you (even more) but I have to go kasi masyado na ko naging sugarol, lakwatsera, lasinggera ganyan...👣 HAHAHAHAHA.🤗

Let me tell you a secret...
When I took this picture, I was calling and sending messages to people I've become close with telling them goodbyes and that it was my pleasure meeting them. I suck at goodbyes, well, I suck at attachments, commitments or anything relationship related so it was definitely something, you know. I could have just left not saying a word to everyone but I didn't - I said goodbye, I said thanks, I said see you again soon, I said I'll miss you. Even to those persons I clearly said that there would be no strings attached. WHUT?! HAHAHAHAHA. Pero seryoso, big step 'yon for someone na hindi masyadong marunong mag-express kung gaano niya vina-value 'yung human relationships na meron siya. The Tin there wanted closure. She longed for closure. She sort of insisted for closure even to an unworthy person (LUH). That's new. That's a good progress in this stage called "Adulting." I liked that change.

I hope I can change to a better person - a person who knows how to feel ganyan. hehehe. :))))))

Let me tell you a darker secret...
I drank bottles of bud light and cried for a while.
Call me crazy but I have always wanted to try drinking alone because I feel sad and it happened IN VEGAS pa ha. HAHAHAHA.

I was in the 37th floor of Planet Hollywood Hotel, alone, looking at the night lights, remembering all the craziness that happened, welcoming sadness as if he was that friend I've been wanting to say goodbye to as well, hoping that I'll feel better the next day because I was scheduled to leave for California. But more importantly, I was also praying and giving thanks for everything.

Grabe! My words will never be enough to describe how "magical" those three months were. Not in a sense na, it was perfect and it was all happy moments pero kasi alam mo 'yun, never ko talaga inasahan eh. Akala ko pupunta lang ako 'yun lang 'yun, akala ko 'yung alis ko e sa San Diego lang 9 days bago ko umuwi. Pero four states?! Pero lahat nang 'yon?! OMG.

Ending this chapter the way I started it. Yup, with a looooooooooooooong flight alone. ❤❤❤ I never thought I'll get this attached that leaving hurts.😭 See you next time, USA! It wasn't easy but definitely worth it. Hihi. Also, my values got challenged and I got hurt mga ganyan but all good; had to happen as a part of this wonderful experience. Tbh, I still can't believe how I survived those roller coaster of events and emotions. Hihi. I'm going home as a much better and stronger person (maybe😜) Anyhow, all the positives overpowered all the negatives.❤ haha! It was a grace-filled three months indeed and what happened were all more than I was hoping for and expecting (especially the casino all nighters haha and sige, long drives to four states) so I'll be forever grateful. Here's to more adventures and more breathtaking moments!💙💚💛💜 The #lifeichose is getting this kind of heartbreak again and again and again. Pleaaaaaaaaaase. 😂 #travel #wanderlust #lifewelltraveled #california #wheretonext #wildflower #blogpostbato hahahahaha

To more adventures and breathtaking moments! :)) HIHIHIHI. PLEAAAAAAAAASE.

Pero alam mo, I realized din how important 'yung mga small things para maging possible 'yung mga big things. I think 'yun 'yung need ko talaga ulit matutunan, na kahit anong bagay 'yan e part of the puzzle. Maliit man o malaki. So yeah. for the 6 months na natitira sa 2016. :))) I WILL BE BETTER. <3 I claim that the next months will be more colorful, more prosperous (VERY VERY VERY MUCH NEEDED) and more memorable hindi lang syempre for me but for you as well
.

GOD BLESS US!

May we be blessed that we can also be a blessing to others. hihi

Strawberries are winter fruits so they're one of the food that I look forward to eating whenever I go on winter trips. We were able to spend a few days in Fukuoka, Japan last month and while I was searching for things to do, I saw that there are strawberry farms that were offering strawberry picking/eat-all-you-can experience for 1 hour.

I have been to several strawberry picking farms before (South Korea, California, and in Baguio) and so far, the one in Yame, Japan is my favorite because it's an eat all you can experience.

These are the rates.

Each person is given their own scissors and a cup to place the calyx in.

We were also given a wrist strap before accessing the greenhouses.

If you want to take away some strawberries, you can also pick your own or choose from these.

We were able to access four greenhouses - F, G, H, and I. My top two are those strawberries are from tent F and the Fukuoka exclusive AMAOU strawberries from tent H.  I wish I knew how to read all these but all I can remember are those AMAOU strawberries. :))

Aside from being able to eat a lot of sweet strawberries, this was a perfect activity for us that day since it kept on raining. All the strawberries are placed inside greenhouses so they're weather proof.

Photos from the tents. Let the photos speak for themselves 'cause I've got no words - I just kept on eating. lol The fruits are also away from the soil so no need to wash them before taking a bite.

Sweet red strawberries, wrist strap, scissors, and paper cup.

You are to cut the part above the calyx.

Crossed the street for the other greenhouses.

These strawberries from this greenhouse are really sweet as well but I found them gritty.

I haven't seen strawberries this red and big before. This was the last greenhouse and I felt quite full from the first three but I just couldn't resist getting a few more pieces.

We meet again, my forever favorite fruit! 🫶 And it's unlimited for an hour! 🍓🤭🇯🇵

AMAOU strawberries are called the "King of Japanese Strawberries." Its name is an acronym which stands for amai (sweet), marui (round), okïi (big), and umai (tasty). We were able to taste four varieties in the strawberry field, but it definitely stood out.

One bite is enough to let you know why it deserves to be called that way, but one bite is also not enough. 🍓🍓🍓

After exiting the greenhouse, you are to throw all your trash and return the scissors here.

This is a seasonal activity. I believe you'd have another fruit to pick during a different season. I actually am hoping to visit during autumn or for whenever grapes are in season because of Shine Muscat. 😂😂😂
