We don't ski but we wanted to see snow in the mountains so the Snowyland and Strawberry Picking combo was perfect for us. The instruction Klook sent us was precise and we were picked up at 8 AM in Lotte Hotel, Myeongdong. We have just arrived in Seoul six hours prior to this activity so I was asleep the entire bus ride. I only woke up when we were already outside the strawberry picking area in Yangpyong.
We were asked to sit down for a while and then we given a short orientation on how to properly pick strawberries and the rules inside. Hahaha. As if they know Filipinos very well, all the the things we were thinking of doing at first - bawal palang gawin. Like eat while picking strawberries. :)))
This is my second time to try strawberry picking and my first was in Carlsbad, California. Back in CA, I was able to eat all I can 'cause no one was watching us. Lol. I've been travelling to Korea for the past three winters and one of my favorite things about it is the "strawberry overload"
I love fresh strawberries so this is an activity that I really want to do again and again and again. Strawberries in Korea are really sweet that even you can't taste sourness even if you eat those unriped green fruits.
We have a mini refrigerator in our hotel room and some of the strawberries I picked that day lasted for a week. I was able to bring some back to PH.
We were also given some strawberries to eat before riding the bus to our next destination which is the Vivaldi Ski Park.
Upon arriving, you'd immediately see the ski slopes of different difficulties. We were asked to wait for a while in this area and then our tour guide gave us a ticket to the cable car going to Snowy Land.
We were instructed to eat lunch first because only snacks are available in the mountain.
There are a lot of choices in the building but we went for this rice toppings.
Mine costs 11,900 KRW.
After getting ready, we rode the cable car. I love cable car rides and even if it's considered as a mode of transportation - para na rin siyang attraction for me.
We rode past the beginners ski slope.
Snowy Land is perfect for people who just wants to experience snow when in Korea. Although there are a lot of other places such as Daegwalyeong or Jinbu in Pyeongchang, Vivaldi Resort is a lot closer to Seoul.
I've seen snow for several times already but I've experienced the most snowfall here. As in iba-ibang klase ng snow. Meron 'yung malakas na hangin, malalaking snowflakes, gentle na snowflakes - all in one afternoon. haha. Sino ba kasi nago-operate ng electric fan?
After walking for a bit, we entered the igloo resting area for several minutes.
Then we went down this area where the snow tubing is located to see if there's anything we can ride.
The line was long so we decided to just walk again towards the photo spot and take lots of photos instead.
When were taking photos with Pengsu (what they call this penguin), we saw that the ride at the back was a group activity so we decided to go up again and ride it.
It took us several minutes in queue but it was a fun experience - very tita, though. HAHA!
Snow Rafting
The line was also long at this area but it's faster compared to the others 'cause one raft can accommodate five persons.
Our departure time in Snowyland was 3 PM so we took the cable car at about 2 PM so we can go to the toiled first before heading to the meeting area.
