Not sure if Eat-All-You Can Korean Grills are sprouting like mushrooms recently or we're just in a continuous search for one. haha! Whatever it is, Hwaroro Korean Restaurant is worth checking out. Para sa mga nagtatanong, ito na po ang isa pang unlimited Korean BBQ sa Quezon City!

Sabi nga nila, mas okay pang walang plano kasi natutuloy... :))

Hwaroro is a house that has been converted to a restaurant but then even if they have several units of airconditioner, they were rather weak. Enough to make the food cold (nakatutok kasi sa buffet 'yung isa) but not the whole place but there's nothing an electric fan could fix. Keri na.

Here's a picture of their buffet.
For the banchan and other Korean food choices, there were definitely a lot!

Just from looking at this picture, you'd think that you may even eat more than what you're about to pay for.
Unlike other Korean buffets which normally have only two choices of meats to be grilled, Hwaroro has four.

I liked that you'll be the one to get your meat from the chiller because.... secret. :)))

Barbecue party, anyone?
Different kinds of leafy veggies for Samgyeopsal!!

I was once asked which Korean food I like best and I answered Samgyeopsal/SsangChuSsam.

Pinangatawanan ko na talagang SsangChuSsam ang favorite kong Korean food. HAHAHA
Sauces, dips and Kimchi
You can also make your own Bibimbap there.
Watermelon and Pineapple for dessert.
Where we sat.
We got three types of meats for our first plate.
'Yung nasa bottom and the marinated pork strips (top right) are those I liked best! Highblood, highblood din pag may time!

They also have beef strips (not in the picture. obviously)
The reason why I prefer Korean buffets over Ala Carte Restaurants

is the eat-all-you-can baboy! hahaha
For the Kimbap, I liked it though medyo sticky 'yung rice. No, sobrang sticky nung rice.
The thing with this type of grills is the possibility of oil jumping because there are no borders. I'm not that bothered but for some (na hindi sanay) that may become a problem.

They also serve other ala carte Korean food and some liquor such as soju.

For P 349.00 (Weekday Lunch) and P 399.00 (Dinner), really worth it.

COMMUTING DIRECTIONS: Along Quezon Avenue, you'll see National Bookstore then 'yung daan sa gitna, just walk staight ahead and dun na. This restauraunt (Scout Tobias, Timog) is located just across Puregold Jr.

Already my fifth time in this Korean Grill at Malingap St. in Teacher's Village, Quezon City.

Yep, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, it could. And, it did.

Now with an air conditioned room and more buffet food choices, Don-Day has managed to remain a budget friendly Korean restaurant priced at P 299.00/person for an unlimited pork slices and P 399.00/person for an unlimited pork and beef slices. How's that? Sounds like, "I have to go there ASAP." Right?

By the way, here are my previous visits at Don-Day:

1. May 2012 link: here.
2. June 2012 link: here.
3. September 2012 link: here.
4. July 2013 link: here.

I accidentally lowered the pictures' resolution when I added the watermarks so...
They used to have this "carinderia" feels to it last 2012 and they've managed to make the interior more of that "restaurant" feel. I believe that this place was already renovated last July 2013. I just didn't notice it that much then.
Buffet area now have more choices.
And it shall begin again... my love for samgyeopsal!
They didn't have sesame oil that night so duenjang or soybean was enough.
Some of the choices in their buffet. No kimbap for that night but that rice cube with seaweed wrap was jjang (best). Kimchi rice, on the other hand, was obviously hot. I noticed that everything colored in orange was spicier than how I remembered them to be. Kimchi was intense! I got some for my samgyeopsal but I couldn't even bring myself to bite it. I don't know if I'm just not used to the spiciness of Korean food anymore or it was just way too spicy.
Sana may kamote. hehehe.

So this has been it.

Someone send me to Korea pls. :)))))) Send talaga. Hahaha.
Another Korean Eat-All-You can at Quezon City is Hwaroro Korean Grill at Scout Tobias link: here.

My friends and I went to Tomas Morato for a Japanese dessert shop but we decided to eat dinner first. I searched the internet for the nearest Korean Restaurant in the area except for Hwaroro and Hanayo since the last two are buffets.

Aside from grilled meats, they have ala carte items and shabu-shabu as well.

I don't know what this soup is called but it's refreshing to have this alternately eaten with Kimchi Chigae. Gosh, why can't I eat spicy food?!

Banchan are okay. Not a lot but okay. Nah, I just wanted a myeolchi bokkeum hahaha but the side dishes are fine.

First time eating in a Korean Restaurant where there's scrambled egg on the grill.

I also liked the sweet potato. hehe. There were only two pork slices for an order of one samgyeopsal.
It was the waitress who grilled the slices for us so that's a plus.

Kimchi Chigae

We had this made as mild but it was still spicy for me that I had to order a cup of rice just to enjoy eating this. :)) It was good though just that I prefer to taste spiciness and sourness in my kimchi chigae. Ayoko ng anghang lang. Pero Korean eh. hehe

Kimbap!!

Kakamiss!!!

Okay, even with the lack of description for each food item above since this is delayed for more than a month, I think Korean J Grill is one of the "okay" restaurants in Tomas Morato. I have visited two more within the area but they didn't make it to the blogosphere. lol.
