My friend and I went there without an itinerary and a proper research of the place aside from us wanting to climb the Mountain View also known as Batanes of the East.  Luck was on our side since we met the officer in charge of their Tourism desk while riding the FX and she instructed us to head straight to the feeder port. At the feeder port, we met the president of the local tourism association, Kuya Albert.

That morning we talked with Kuya Albert regarding the places that we can visit on our limited budget, we had P 2,000 to spend for two days.

And we soon agreed with this itinerary:

1st Day

Matawe Beach
Tan-Awan Falls

2nd Day

Mountain View
White Beach

Please note that Dingalan, Aurora will be sooooooooooo much cheaper if you're travelling in groups. A group of four to six is an ideal number kasi kasya sa tricycle. Ours was expensive 'cause only two of us shared the expenses.

We checked in early, changed our clothes and headed to the sea.

No one else was there with us.

We had this whole paradise to ourselves. Worth the price! :))

After exploring this rocky stretch, we were told that we're going to the rock formation.

We rode the tricycle again and they brought us this part where the rock formation is.

It was low tide that afternoon so we were able to walk towards the rock formation. During hightide, we were told that we'll only be able to see high and strong waves hitting the rocks.

Good thing that I was wearing my hiking sandals back there because it was kind of slippery.

While walking towards the rock formation, we saw an interesting secret that you can only see during low tide.

There's a part wherein you can see the seawater bubbling up and down the cracks or crevices - whichever is the right term. I'd link the video I posted in Instagram so you can see it happening too.

We were able to climb one while kuya took picture from the opposite rock.

Kuya was very conscious with the pictures he took stating that it's rare that tourists go to this part of Dingalan so he still doesn't know the best angles. Not bad naman, diba? :))

Be extra careful since sea urchins abound the area.

Batanes of the East may be their well-known spot. But hey, Matawe beach, though not like your Boracay's stretch of white fine sand, is very beautiful too! Plus, it's untouched... and free. :3

Soon, they showed us the Tidal Pool a.k.a Death Pool of Matawe.
If you're a good swimmer, you can but we didn't want to risk it since the wave current was strong.

Above is what they call the Death Pool.

That part is deep and the water current is strong.

Looking at it scares me enough already. I wouldn't dare swim in it.

After the tidal pool, we walked back to the shore for the second item on our itinerary - the Tan-awan Falls.

Here below are my Instagram Videos from the beach and Batanes of the East:

I'll be posting pictures I took when I was in the place called Mountain View in Dingalan, Aurora, it is also well-known as the Batanes of the East. At the end of this post is the contact number of the president of their tour guide association. Updated 'to so far kasi July 2017 lang kami umakyat.

Gusto mo 'yung ang gulo at kunga ano lang maisipan kong ilagay 'yung andito? Well, ako hindi. Ang gulo guloooooooo uhuhuhu kasi naman nasa January pa lang ako kung lakwatsa ang usapan... or not. hahaha. Kasi may akyat pa kong hindi napo-post nung November pa pala 'yon.

Anyway, unahin ang Batanes of the East habang wala pang Batanes na totoo sa listahan.. hmm, universe? Whatcha think?

Well. HAHAHAHA. Di kami ready as in ang sarap matulog, bes.

You have to options getting to the jump off point.

Ride a boat from feeder port which rates, I don't know or trek for P 250.00. The trek was easy although there's a part where you'll pass through boulders but very bearable.

Dalawa lang kami nagpunta kaya we had to divide P 250.00 to two but the rate remains the same regardless of how many you are in your group.

The trek to the jump off point of Batanes of the East is along the rocky shore of Dingalan. The whole trek made the view a lot more worth it though it took as probably more than hour.

Once you reach the White Beach then malapit ka na sa katotohanan.

The ascent was short. It was less than 30 minutes but was slippery and steep. Good thing they've put ropes which you can hold onto.

We went here on a weekday which was a very good decision. We only had to share the whole place with these dogs. The "summit" wasn't that big so it'll be hard (and noisy) if there were a lot of people there during your visit.

There are two areas to go to when you're here, one is the mountain view which is the "Batanes of the East" and the opposite side which has the lighthouse.

Ganern.

I am so ready for you, totoong Batanes!!! <3

I'll be posting the itinerary and the budget of this two days and one night trip in Dingalan soon when I am able to post some of my backlogs from way back whennnn. I only posted this earlier so I can share the cellphone number of the person you may contact. hehehe.

Kuya Albert - 092969639831 (tour guide organization president)

'Yung tour guide namin ay si Pastor. haha. I'm so sarreh kay Kuya kasi nawala ko ata 'yung number niya. Sobrang patient at mabait.

Habang wala pang Batanes sa listahan...❤ #travelph #lostinph #wanderlust #pakpinas 😂 #nature

I haven't been blogging for a while now.

And while I a not really posting a lot of stuff the past few months, posting these days have become a bit more challenging because BAYANTEL'S WIFI IS ACTING UP AND OF ALL WEBSITES THAT I CAN'T ACCESS IN MY LAPTOP, I HAVE BEEN HAVING TROUBLES ACCESSING --- MINE. M-I-N-E. XTINTINA.COM. Which is so weird because it's only the website (that I currently know of) that I am having troubles accessing... good job kayo dyan, Bayantel!

I would try to post and an error message saying that there are troubles with publishing my post would appear and that's because of the unstable internet connection... why?!

I've been frustrated that I tweeted them (globe) and I found out that a lot of other customers share the same frustration too. Changing service isn't possible as of the moment since we need the landline so we have to bare with the slow and intermittent internet but huhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhu

ANONA BAYANTEL WALA BA TALAGANG CHANCE?!

Isn't it surprising that Ribb serves baby back ribs? Hmm...

So above, you have their baby back ribs with two sides: grilled corn and mashed potato

The meat was tender. However, I am not thinking bakit hindi ata ako 'yung kumain ng corn? :))

Kinakabahan ako lagi kapag nakakakita ako ng dyanamite... kasi baka sumabog. :)) Char!

I love this "pulutan" "streetfood" or whatever category this falls into because it usually has cheese stuffing. The thing is, eating this is somehow based on pure luck. Hahahaha. I don't fancy eating spicy food (except Korean food) but based on experience, dynamites are not always spicy so I give it a chance once in a while... and Ribb's version? Maanghang, bes. hahaha. Masarap at malutong which something people who can eat spicy food will enjoy.

Seeing this so reminded me of the times when I relied on hotdogs for survival when I was in the states. Hahaha.

World's Baddest Hotdogs

'cause why not?

I'm sorry, World's Baddest Dog.

Jackass

Parmesan, Mozarella, Cheddar Cheese

Shamrock

P 150.00

Pesto, tomato, pizza sauce, mozzarella, cheese

Ito talaga 'yun eh.

I don't know. There must be something about pesto that I'll have it with anything.  Although the idea of combining pesto and hotdog before, this worked. I love the uniqueness of them using charcoal bun instead of the usual bun and them torching the hotdogs right in front of you.
