Back to an old favorite of mine. One word: Nostalgic. :)) |
Baker's Hat P 150.00 Large Homemade Cheesecake + Yogurt + Almond Clusters It has been years since I ordered my last Baker's Hat from White Hat. Of all the available combinations they have, this will always be the perfect one for me. Frozen Yogurt to Milk Teas to Matcha... I wonder what would come next in the succession of my food addictions. (Dark) Chocolate would always be an all-time favorite though so that's out of the equation. |
I was never open to the possibility of studying abroad until last year when I was taking up my Elementary Korean II Class at the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines.
I enrolled at KCC because watching Korean dramas is my hobby and I wanted to at least know the basic of their language. I ended up enjoying not only the language class but the rest of the Korean culture as well and that was reflected on my performance because I graduated as the top 1 student for that term.
During our classes, our Korean teacher would inject some information about Korea and I always found myself hoping that one day, I'd be able to experience everything firsthand too. My exposure to Korean culture kind of "infected" me with wanderlust that the idea of studying abroad suddenly became so enticing. But since I didn't know a lot about the opportunities for Filipinos to study and travel to Korea, there wasn't any progress regarding this so for more than a year now, that dream continues to be just a dream. But who knows, right? Maybe I am meant to go farther. Unlike what happened to me, the lack of information shouldn't be the case for other Filipino students and Filipino aspirants who desire to study overseas specifically in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA, and United Kingdom. Are you dreaming of studying abroad? Well then, take advantage of this chance to enhance your qualifications and learn more about the several opportunities in other countries by attending the Philippines' biggest education expo: The World Education Exhibit 2013 where you can meet over 50 schools and universities from the above-mentioned countries. This FREE expo is hosted by IDP Philippines, a student placement firm which was established in Manila in 1985. Their goal is to bring students closer to their dream of studying abroad by offering assistance in visa processing, counselling sessions for prospective students and many more. Interested? There's just so much potential in everyone of us that's why we should exhaust all possibilities to learn and improve ourselves as much as we can. And there's definitely even more in this world to explore and that's the reason why we should also travel as far as we can.

Days like today make me wish that I can just teleport to MOA or Eastwood and order this for myself 'cause you know, when all else fails, desserts can do the trick.
This fondue is for two persons but bring me there on a "sad and unfair" day like today, I can eat all of these alone plus an extra scoop of matcha or dark chocolate ice cream as well.
Fondue for two is composed of 4 mini scoops of ice cream (your choice of flavors), banana, mango, cream and wafer |
And your warm chocolate sauce, of course. P 340.00 Natatawa ko. Kasi fondue 'to so dapat, isasawsaw mo lahat pati 'yung ice cream? Also, if you're gonna pass by Swensen's branch on a weekday, try their P 99.00 Sundaes!! I wish I have the luxury to go there on a weekday really. I want to try their Matcha Sundae too. |
And it took me so looooooooooong to join the so-called "katsu craze" I've devoted much of time learning Korean cuisine so aside from the usual Japanese cuisine (e.g. sushi, tempura, sashimi and ramen) wala talaga kong alam okay! But I want to learn more and actually, feel ko tinatawag na ko ng Japan at malapit na 'ko mag goodbye Korea. Ay joke, no goodbyes. Welcome other countries! Explore lang ng explore! Wala bang Japan Cultural Center? Murang anything about Japan dito lang sa Manila? Good thing my friend, Louise, was there to teach me while choosing my meal and while eating. Mukha na naman akong nawawalang bata eh. HAHAHA. View her blog here. Gora! :))) Magiging first time mo rin ba? |
As the waiter handed us their menu, he also asked us if we'd want hot or cold brown rice tea. I went for cold which I had two glasses of. |
I also liked the combination of their roasted sesame dressing and cabbage. TAKE NOTE: ENDLESS ENJOYMENT Challenge Accepted. |
This is what I've been wanting to experience actually. I know. Ang babaw ng kaligayahan ko but I've been wanting to ground my own black and white sesame seeds too for my Tonkatsu dip. |
I had a hard time choosing my meal, medyo alien kasi sa'kin 'yung mga terms. Joke. Because all of the choices look so good that I couldn't make up my mind. I went for SET A so I'd have three different types of Katsu. P 425.00 Mix of Ebi, Hire and Rosu Of course, being a shrimp/prawn lover (Hello, Sambokojin kung saan nag eat-all-you-can prawn ako. Link here) that I am, it's not surprising that I'd rank Ebi as my first among the three while Hire (lean pork meat) comes in second and Rosu (pork with a layer of fat) as my last. Regarding the tenderness of their meat, I had no problems at all. Had extra orders of cabbage salad and Japanese rice. Sulit na sa sulit, right? See that mustard looking thing on my plate? Hahaha.
Because I used my JCB Credit Card when we dined there, they deducted 10% off our total bill. If you're a JCB Credit Card Holder yourself, you can avail this promo until November 30, 2013. Overall, my Ginza Bairin experience was great. I enjoyed the ambiance of the place, I had no complains with the service and I loved the food! Since I have no previous katsu restaurant experience which I can compare this with, I can only say that Ginza Bairin has indeed set my standards high. |
It's that time of the month again. Hihi.
My monthly whatever for 2013 is 11/12 already.
My golly, time fleets!!!
When I was writing my 10/12 post, I was then expecting October to be an activity-packed month but not an emotion-packed month as well. Aside from the hectic schedule of some days, there was also a roller coaster of emotions.
In short, I was able to over claim not only my activities but also problems and disappointments too!
In short, I was able to over claim not only my activities but also problems and disappointments too!
Those problems only lasted for hours though, kain kalimot lang ang peg ng halos lahat ng 'yon.
But thank you, October.
Na-miss ko 'yung sa sasakyan na lang ako nakakapag-reply at nakaka-check ng phone messages kasi hindi ko 'yun naasikaso agad at na-miss ko sabihin 'yung, "OMG. Hindi na ko pwede".
Anyway, a perfectionist, clueless, arrogant and insensitive (HAHAHA) INTJ asked me to take an online personality test last month and I was "scared" by the results I got, they're all true. Akalain mo 'yun, introvert pala ko. Ano kaya nakapag-trigger nun? Hindi kasi 'yan 'yung personality type ko years ago when I first took that personality test. Or mapag-panggap lang talaga na medyo extrovert all along. But one's personality is dynamic so the change of type is not a big deal. I'll retake the test by October next year to see if there's going to be more changes.

Check your personality here. These days, I am an explorer ISTP.
- Can be very stubborn. ISTPs are not too sensitive when it comes to conflicts and criticism, but they can become very blunt and irritated if someone tries to criticize their habits, lifestyle or ideas.
- Private and reserved. Surprisingly, ISTPs can be very difficult to get to know as they keep most of their thoughts and ideas to themselves, especially when it comes to private or sensitive matters.
- Get bored quickly. People with the ISTP personality type may find it difficult to remain focused on something for an extended amount of time, with their thoughts drifting off to more interesting things.
- May be insensitive. ISTPs tend to be very practical and logical, and they may often inadvertently hurt other people’s feelings by failing to recognize the importance of emotions.
- Enjoy taking risks. ISTP personalities are big risk takers and may often do that simply for the sake of having fun. For instance, they may escalate a conflict with a colleague just to see how they react.
- Dislike commitments. ISTPs like to review their obligations on a daily basis instead of committing to something for a very long time. This can cause significant problems in their romantic relationships.
Here's an interesting quote that is quite applicable for last month,
― Paulo Coelho, The Winner Stands Alone
"Life has many ways of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once.”
For this month, I don't have plans yet and once again, I have no idea on what's going to happen in all aspects of my life.
SO!!
Claim lang ng claim this month na naman. Something great will happen!
(Sweet) Surprise me, November!!
