Walking around Pier 39, we passed by these boats and we saw that they were offering a 30 minutes boat ride in San Francisco Bay for $15.

It wasn't in the budget but we decided to do it nonetheless. That was the last anyway soooo :))

Paid $15 and then boarded the boat.
The boat went around the San Francisco Bay.

It went a little bit close to the Alcatraz Island, Golden Gate Bridge, Oakland Bridge. Also, far enough from the port to see the beauty of San Francisco Bay Area.
Part of San Francisco Bay area skyline.
Sea lions and ducks
We went near the sea lions too.

Story why they and how they arrived in the area: here. They've been there years before I was born. haha. How cool is that?

Did you know that you can view the sea lions of Pier 39 real time? Click here.
This one is a floating island with a restaurant and a lighthouse.
The captain of our ship then asked a representative from each group of tourists to experience holding the steering wheel. haha. There I was, for the first time, representing the whole Philippines. CHAROT hahahaha
My brother owns a lot of pigeons so birds flying around isn't at all exciting anymore but I can't help but look up to see where these birds were heading.
They're flying in straight lines.
San Francisco Sunset!

I want to go back these one summer because I'd love to experience the fog in fog city. <3 The weather was so good to us when we were there that the sun was shining for two days without much clouds and fog. Hehe
I want to experience living in San Francisco!
Just like everything, the boat ride came to an end.. $15 was very worth it. Not only did we see several sights, the ship's captain was also very entertaining and informative.

Did you know that San Francisco has a total of 44 hills?

One of the known hills there is called the Russian Hill, one of the original Seven Hills. Of all the places I've gone too (Wow nemen parang ang dami na! hahaha of all the places pa alam haha!), San Francisco has the most interesting landscape. Actually, months before I knew I was going to the states, I watched a viral video in Facebook wherein they were dancing along the streets of San Fo. I thought, it was just one street but it turns out that the roads and streets especially in the Bay Area are all hilly.

I've found a website wherein you can see the steepness of each street in San Francisco, check it out here: link.

REPRESENTING THE PHILIPPINES!!! HAHAHA!

Russian Hill is a neighborhood and its most famous landmark is the Lombard Street which I have included in this post. Before going there, it was only Lombard and Golden Gate Bridge that I think of when someone mentions San Fo to me.

Victorian Houses?

If you're going there, might as well visit the Painted Ladies. It's the most famous Victorian Houses in San Fo.

We found a parking space in front of Lombard Street.

I don't get why I looked thin in pictures. Hahaha. When got back, most people were like, "Hala, kala ko namayat ka na?" Tapos sabayan pa ng, "Nangitim ka lalo." HAHAHAHAHA. THANK YOU HA! Ganda ng pang-welcome eh. :))

The Famous Lombard Street

We've drove there for three times. I read somewhere that those beside this street are the more expensive properties in San Fo.

We decided to walk upwards and not just settle from looking at it from the other side of the road.
The view you'll see from there is another hill called the Telegraph Hill where the Colt Tower is located. Ang ganda pa ng buhok ko! Kainis. Can I live in San Francisco, universe? :)) Isang Pacific Ocean lang naman ang layo sa'kin eh! haha!

This is the left bottom picture of my new blog banner. :)
First person point-of-view

San Francisco Bay, Oakland Bridge, Colt Tower, and the beautiful flowers of Lombard Street.

This was featured before in a Kapuso mo, Jessica Soho documentary and I never thought that I'll be given a chance to visit there hehe. Salamat, universe!

Lombard Street Selfie. :))

The view at my back kind of reminded me of Amalfi Coast in Italy even if I haven't been there. HAHAHA! Kasi naman the colorful hill houses. Someday diba? :))
Goodbyeeeeee
In case you're wondering,  the switchbacks were created to slow drivers down. This is also considered as the most crooked street in San Francisco, but it's not the steepest.

Do you drive?
Is Lombard Street a part of your "road bucketlist"?

I saw the replica of Colt Tower first at Legoland, California. We also saw this on our first night in San Francisco while we were in Pier 39.

You can't see the Colt Tower in this picture though, but it's the Oakland - San Francisco bridge on the right and Lombard Street (the first street on the right too)
The city view is good in this area. (Ganda ng flag, noh?)

So if you're into skylines like me, better head to this part of the Telescope Hill.

You may climb the stairs, ride the tram, or drive your car all the way to the Colt Tower area.
And there's an even higher place you can look into if you're willing to pay $7 for an elevator ride which we decided to forego.
I thought this was a paid restroom, turned out it's just a high-tech one that is programmed to disinfect itself after each use. Hahaha! Nagpa-picture talaga ko, noh. :)))

Sinabihan ako, "Sa banyo talaga?"

Bakit ba when this is the coolest public restroom I've seen!
I moved then, ayan na ah, hindi na mukhang sa banyo! May mapa na ng San Francisco. haha!
What it looks like inside. haha!!!

I really had to take pictures inside. I'm so sorry that I'm not sorry. :)))
For me, the view and the Colt Tower aren't the only ones worth visiting here. haha! This self-cleaning public restroom is an attraction already. I'm serious. You have to use this once in your lifetime.
We skipped going up the escalator because of the fee. We've pretty much saw everything from all the skyline viewing area we went to anyway.
BAKIT ANG GANDA NG BUHOK KO, SAN FRANCISCO, BAKET!?
Bakit pag-uwi ko, buhaghag na naman?!
And finally, this is the Colt Tower.

After Union Square, we walked towards the Chinatown because we were looking for its arc. You know after seeing the several Chinatowns in other provinces (Cebu, Davao, Palawan) and other countries (Singapore, Malaysia, USA - Las Vegas), I appreciated the Chinatown we have in Binondo more. Although the past several visits weren't very convenient because of the traffic congestion, I am always reminded of that afternoon when my friend and I did a Binondo food wok. Mas okay mag-commute pero ingat sa snatcher! na-snatchan ako dun, eng saya :)) But still, I want to go back.

Anyhow, back to San Francisco's Chinatown which is considered as the largest Chinatown outside Asia as well as the oldest in North America.  After spending several hours in the Bay Area, it was really surprising that San Francisco can give this kind of feel. Parang ang saya tuloy puntahan ng mga Chinatown all over the world. Naks! All over the world! :))
Looks so familiar, noh. Those floating lanterns as the street design.

Although this is just a block away from San Francisco's financial district and Union Square, it's like being suddenly teleported to a different place. It definitely gave a completely different kind of vibe compared to the San Fo that where we were in for the last two days.
Chinatown Arc

More of pictures like this please!
There are a lot of stores and restaurants here but we have already decided that we'll eat in a food park so we just strolled around for several minutes.

I was looking for a Chinese temple. Yes, I am a practicing Roman Catholic but I like visiting temples. Yes again, it doesn't matter to me what kind of religion it is but I like trips to temples.
Miss you so, San Fo! Sobrang bilis ng panahon, almost six months have passed since I flew to the USA pero hindi ko pa rin tapos 'tong USA 2016 series na 'to. Grabe lang! Haha!
See.

Kung wala lang masyadong snatcher sa Chinatown natin, may laban naman eh!!
Chinatown Selfie. hehe
Bye, Chinatown!!!

But I'll see you, Chinatown of other countries too. I know there are Chinatowns in South Korea, Japan and Thailand sooooo. :)))
Back to the financial district and off the food park.. :)

There are a lot of areas in San Francisco where you can take good pictures with the Golden Gate Bridge. We went to four: two of them are here in this post, and the other two in a separate post.

For this: 1. Hawk Hill, Marin County and 2. Battery Spencer, Marin County
You can use your GPS while driving to get to the area. From experience, GPS is usually reliable there in the USA.
Hawk Hill

This one's higher than the Battery Spencer view area.

I kind of envy those people who went there during the summer because of San Francisco's fog but yeah, just like what the captain (Pier 39) said, we're lucky that we went there on a clear day because San Fo is usually foggy. But still dibaaaa. Take me back, Mt. Tamalpais please! :))
This is where you're gonna get a good panoramic view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Area.
We drove around, and down to the battery spencer area. It's a good thing that we found an empty parking slot 'cause Battery Spencer is actually the best view for me.
'Cause when you take the picture here, you'll have the entire San Francisco in your back too.

Oftentimes, the Golden Gate Bridge pictures that I see are usually taken from this perspective.
<3

Soon, fog city, I'll be back soon.
Look for me na, Samsung S7 Edge! Find me before I head for my next trip so I can take better selfies. hahaha!
After the two view points, we drove to the other two.

There are toll gates after driving through the Golden Gate Bridge. Weren't we supposed to pay a fee or something? 'Cause we crossed the bridge for 12 times and yet not once did we paid for it. Oh well... :)
