Where do broken hearts go nga ba talaga? :)))

I now have 3 scheduled dates to a That Thing Called Tadhana screening next year. 'Yung totoo, friends? (Lakas maka-sabi ng friends e wala ngang may alam na nagb-blog ako. haha!) Di pa kasi kayo sumabay nung nag screening ng Cinema One originals!! Pero more than willing naman ako umulit basta libre niyo ko. HAHA

THAT THING CALLED TADHANA INARTE POST LINK: HERE.

In short, tatanga-tanga.

A: Bakit pag sinabi ba niya kung bakit, may magbabago? Ang bottomline, hindi ka na niya mahal.
M: Close ba tayo? Ang sakit mo magsalita ah.

M: Paano ba makalimot?
A: Ha?

M: Gano katagal?
A: Matagal.
M: Gano nga katagal? One Year? Two Years? Three? Four?
A: Does it matter? Ang mahalaga, NAKALIMUTAN. (HUHUHUHUHU NAKALIMUTAN)

A: 'Yung ganyan kalaking pagmamahal, ganyang overwhelming love, imposibleng walang pupuntahan 'yan eh. May mababalik sa'yong pagmamahal.

A: There are all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice.

HAHAHAHA)

A: Pag may dumaan na shooting star, ano iwi-wish mo?

M: Kung mahal mo, habulin mo, ipaglaban mo. Wag mong hintaying may magtulak sa kanya pabalik sa’yo. Hilahin mo. Hanggang kaya mo, wag kang bibitaw.

Hehehehe. Sakit oh. May pagka-Mace talaga ko. Yes? BGC? Pasig? Donut? Oatmeal? Hangin? Tubig? HAHAHAHAHAHA. Everything reminds me of you din ang peg minsan saka kung magbabayad ako ng pera everytime na may imi-mention ako, malamang makakaipon ako agad papunta sa lugar na pinupuntahan ng broken hearts.

P.S. Should you find yourself looking for a Sagada/ Baguio travel buddy after watching this film at 1. Hindi ka mamamatay-tao. 2. Hindi ka KJ. 3. Hindi ka reklamador. 4. KKB 5. Madali kang pakisamahan... Andito lang ako/kami. Magpaka-That Thing Called Tadhana tayo dun sa Baguio o Sagada. HAHAHAHA.

Cheers to the great people we will be!<3

LOOKING FOR That Thing Called Tadhana Quotes? Here.

ITO PO.

Paki-click 'yung "ITO PO" o "HERE" para ma-redirect kayo sa post na may quotes from the movie.

In short, tatanga-tanga.

Hahahaha.

ROMCOM KASI YUNG MOVIE, DIBA? HAHAHAHAHA. Woooo. Masokista levels, Tin. Iba ka. HAHAHAHA.

Where do broken hearts go? Baguio? Sagada? Rome?

Kaya ba dalawang beses akong nag Baguio ngayong 2014 at kaya ba pangarap ko rin makapunta ng Sagada at Rome e dahil broken ako?

Hindi... hindi masyado. hehehe.

Coming from a family who don't always travel, ang lala ko.

I'm structuring my life around the possibility of traveling for a lot of times more, of going places and of getting out of my comfort zone. I know that I'll be able to go to a lot more places in the future. As in na-claim ko na 'yung ganung lifestyle.

Alam mo 'yung quote na, "Sometimes you'll find yourself in the middle of nowhere. And sometimes, in the middle of nowhere you'll find yourself"?

Parang ganyan lang.

I'm not doing this to forget. I'm doing this because it is in travelling that I was healed. Hindi from a romantic kind of brokenness but that healing from the stage when you feel so lost and you have no idea what it is that you want to do with your life. I am healed and I have moved on from that phase because I've found my passion.

Life's uncertain and full of surprises kaya bahala na. And from someone who's used to not making plans? Aba. I've gone a long way. Iba-iba naman tayo ng pinagdadaanan. Don't judge. :)))

Siguro, iniisip mo ngayon.

"Ano problema nito? Anong point?"

You have your own life and success should be defined by you lang not by how other people define it. At the end of the day, ikaw, self-satisfaction at kasiyahan mo lang ang mahalaga.

Don't get stuck. It gets better. It should.

Kagaya kung anong nangyari kay Mace at kay Anthony, siguro kahit anong sakit 'yung nararamdaman natin at kahit gaano kalabo man 'yung future natin ngayon... andun talaga 'yung magic when we start to celebrate life and embrace all the adventures it will present to us. Kahit masakit at kahit nakakatakot, harapin lang natin at huwag tayo tatakas. Who knows? Who knows?

A place where broken hearts go?

'Yan din ay 'yung person we will become may special someone man tayo o wala.

May our dreams for ourselves also be God's dream for us.
Cheers to the great people we will be. <3<3

ANG DAMI KONG SINABI. SHEMS. DI KASI AKO MAKATULOG AT AS USUAL SOBRANG EFFECTIVE PAMPAANTOK PAG NAGSUSULAT AKO. HAHAHAHAHAHA. :))))))

We were at CCP yesterday to watch one of the offerings of this year's CinemalayaX: The Janitor.

I'll show you some pictures from yesterday. Before that, I'd love it if you'll keep the quote, "You'll only regret the chances you didn't take." in mind.

The moment we arrived CCP, it was just the usual picture-taking. Pang-facebook, pang-blog, pang-Instagram ganyan.
My ticket to the movie. Obviously.
This is my current profile picture in FB and some of my friends were like, "Bakit ka nasa T.V?" "Artista ka na ba?"
Kalma.
This is taken from my audition video for next year's Cinemalaya entry entitled Ngangabells. Hahaha.
Joke. Nag picture lang ako sa TV.
Dennis Trillo and the movie director, Michael Tuviera, gave a short speech before the movie started.

SO HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE MOVIE: Ito talaga 'yung highlight eh.
I have a picture with Sarah Lahbati, Bella Padilla, Rafael Rosel, Dennis Trillo and JC Tiuseco but this picture is my favorite. Ka-selfie ko si Beh/Matthew!

The story behind this picture:

After the movie, we ran towards Dennis who was seated alongside with his actor friends (mga na-mention ko sa taas except the girls). People would naturally approach Dennis since it was his movie diba pero I tried to approach Tom agad after taking a picture of Dennis. Kinalabit ko si Tom and told him, "Pwede magpa-picture?" I had no one with me that time kasi andun sila kay Dennis so I had to rely on my very good skills in taking selfies. So nag-take na nga ko pero pagtingin ko sa picture, chura ko teh! Hinawakan ko siya ulit (Hinawakan ko!! Ghad!!!!! NA-HA-WA-KAN-KO-SI-TOM!! Hahahaha. Pero pagkatapos namin mag-picture, in-escortan na siya palabas ng theater so I was one of the few who got to take a picture with him. Swerte ko plsss! Thank you, Tom Rodriguez! :)))

Pagkatapos kay Tom, I approached Dennis and nakipag-selfie rin ako sa kanya but it was blurred.
Huhubells.
I definitely have no regrets. An instagram user uploaded in his/her account a video of us trying to get a selfie with Dennis Trillo. Sabi niya pa, "Dennis Trillo, pinagkaguluhan ng fans." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. NAKAKALOKA!!!!!TOMDEN 'YAN EH.

LEE MIN HO SAKA JOHN LLOYD CRUZ NAMAN NEXT PLS. :))))))

This is not a review. I only want to post something about it because my gherd,
I never thought that I'd cry all throughout the movie. I needed to let those tears out so the timing's just right if not a little late. You might say that I am overrating this film but this was really successful in moving me. My head is thumping, my nose is red and my eyes are swollen from too much crying.

I have a lot of Facebook friends who are also Korean enthusiasts so it's not surprising that I get to see Kpop, Kdrama, Kcuisine and Kmovie suggestions in my newsfeed. But then these past few weeks, even those whom I've never expected to, shared links of this movie entitled, "Miracle in Cell No. 7". I saw one who said that he hates the writer for making him cry. That was obviously a compliment because that meant that the writer was able to pull the correct strings that this became not only a heartwarming but also a heart-wrenching movie (whichever should come first). I've finished the movie 3 hours ago and I still feel like bawling.

Sometimes, I forget to be thankful or to appreciate life more especially when everything is normal and nothing "big" happens as days pass. I don't know, maybe it's because I get used to my normal life and usual happenings/problems that I forget that there's much room for improvement and there's much more to be thankful about... or again, it's just me.

In a world where some of our dreams are left unrealized (yet) and some of our wants are still not given/provided (yet), it becomes very easy to take everything for granted, right? Then this kind of movie comes and makes us remember for the nth time (1) how lucky we are for having the freedom to create and live a full, happy and worthwhile life (2) how we can comprehend the world and voice out our thoughts especially if we think we're being wronged (3) how we can choose to be the voices of those who can't (4) how we are all capable of loving people selflessly and be selflessly loved as well (5) how everyone deserves another chance no matter how dark his/her past was (6) how in a world of unfairness, you mostly have to fight the battle yourself (7) how there's always a possibility of forming bonds with other people like the kind of bond a family should possess- even stronger (8) how there are a lot of people who enjoy playing the blame game. TSK. (9) how you can choose not to be affected by them (10) how most of us are given the opportunities to act before it's too late. For #10, I am hoping for the best. May we spend the rest of our lives acting and not waiting for (bad) things to occur before we do something about them.

This movie broke me but then just like the quote I've read before, it's when you're broken that the light comes in. I really have to practice being grateful for all the miracles - big and small - this life has been giving me. I am a forgetful (and lazy) person so I often forget to be thankful. Truly a process of learning, forgetting and re-learning at times. :))

Kudos to everyone who is behind this film. You, guys, made me laugh and "weep" at the same time. I know that's it's more than a year late since it was released March 2013 but still, 축하드립니다.

Oh Korea, you're so fine. You're so fine you blow my mind. Hey Hanguk. :)))) Kk!

I know I'm back at it again but you can't blame me since Korea Tourism Organization Manila has been posting Jeju Island package tours and seeing those in my facebook newsfeed brought back the intensity of my "desire to visit Korea" to 110%.
Like KTO Manila's facebook page too and share my pain of wanting something yet can't have it. Thank you!:)
(but not having it now doesn't mean there's no chance of having it in the future, right? Still hopinggggg and claiminggggg and eventually make it happen...ingggg hahaha)

At this point, I only have time, energy and undying will to go to Korea. So while I still don't have the money, I shall travel through food again so here's another Korean restaurant. :)

If you're a Korean cuisine newbie, BIBIMBAP means mixed rice.

BIBIM means mixed.

BIBI DA (비비다) is the verb form meaning to mix and BIBIM is, well, BIBIM. :))
BAP means rice
DOLSOT means stone pot

So from it's name, it's mixed rice served in a stone pot.
The interior of Kogi Bulgogi
Days ago, KTO Manila also posted that you should use chopsticks to mix the rice so it won't get too sticky.
반찬도 다 좋아해 but the kimchi was waaaay too spicy for me.
I found the taste so-so. Unfortunately for their bibimbap though, my expectation wasn't met. Something's lacking plus the fact that we were rushing to eat everything because we were almost late for Maleficent. Hindi ko talag na-appreciate. The crispy rice the dolsot produces (tutong. haha) wasn't liked by my friends also. They prefer the normal bibimbap more- bibimbap that is usually served in a stainless steel bowl.

I'll try hoedupbap shall fate bring me back there because that got me curious. Imagine eating bibimbap with raw tuna as the ingredient. Sounds fun, I think.
Just don't mind how this looks but this ramen was that meal's savior. hehehe. We liked this more than our bibimbap orders.

First visit link: here.
Second visit link: here.

Nag-crave kami sa isaw eh, ayan.

The burgis way of satisfying isaw cravings is to go straight to the nearest Tong Yang branch.

Joke.
We went to this newly-opened restaurant somewhere in Q.C but was disappointed with the choices so we decided to eat here in Tong Yang instead.

When a new option fails you, you'd  have to go back to your sure ball and thus, here we are once again.

It took me three visits to realize that I love these chicken wings.

As usual, their sushi choices aren't to die for but okay in satisfying one's cravings.
Someone got creative with the soups... for the first time.

I have two previous posts about this so if you want more, I linked both posts at the beginning (assuming you missed reading that part).

P.S.

What kept me LSSed for the past two days is an OST from the movie "Frozen", entitled "For the First Time in Forever".

That movie is so underrated here in our country and I firmly believe it deserves more raves than what it is having at the moment. Now go!!!! Watch!! Sana meron in 3D. :))))

"I know it sounds so crazy to dream I'd find romance. But for the first time in forever, I think I've got the chance."

&

"You're worth melting for."

It's not a surprise that I like learning new things about Korea and I make use of all the resources available to me: drama, cuisine, language, culture, movie etc. on this learning pursuit. Their aggressive promotions and several free events are also a help to those who are like me because there's something new to look forward to almost every month.

For us who are still not able to go to the Land of the Morning Calm, events like this somehow bring us closer to our dream place, don't they? And they're also a great way to get acquainted with other people who share the same passion and hobbies.

I watched Arahan in SM Megamall last year and every screening time was really packed by movie goers especially by us, the Korean Culture enthusiasts.

And here it is again, the Korean Film Festival '13: New Wave of Korean Cinema

For this year, they have 6 movies in line namely: Werewolf Boy, Deranged, Green Days, Sunny, Masquerade and Dancing Queen.

I've seen Sunny and Werewolf Boy already and I am highly recommending these two. But I'm not saying the others aren't good because these movies won't be chosen to be screened for this festival if they're not one of the best.

If you're watching GMA 7's primetime show "Innocent Man," Kang Maru (Song Joongki) is the male lead actor in Werewolf Boy. I don't want to spoil this movie so I'm not even telling you the gist but you.should.see.this. There are English subtitles okay.

If you've got nothing to do on September 18 - 22 and you live near SM Megamall. Why not try dropping by? ADMISSION IS FREE ANYWAY.

But this isn't only limited for us residing in the Manila but also to those living in Cebu (October 3-6), Davao (October 10-13) and in Ilo-ilo (September 26-29).

Don't forget to have your dose of Korean Movies on the said dates. See you! :D

It's April Fool's day, yes, it's already April!

But for us it's April 1st Date with Lloydie.

The opening was yesterday, easter Sunday, and I was thinking of seeing it on its second week in theaters. But one of my friends tweeted us last night and asked us if we were free to watch the movie today. And of course, who am I to refuse when it's JL we're talking about? Hence, we watched it on its second day!

I was like, "Ano, papareserve ko na sa sureseats?"
then,
"Okay na, K13, K14 and K15 are reserved."

HAHAHAHAHA.
Hindi halata na fangirl ako, noh?

I won't review the movie  I'm not a critic but I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Winner talaga!

And yes, we commit mistakes and we also deserve second (third, fourth, fifth...) chances in life.

After the movie, we made use of the coupon in our movie tickets which entitled us to buy one, free one gelato scoop in Gelatissimo (1,2) My orders were chocolate creme brulee and macadamia and caramel.

That's two small cups for only P 110.00.

And this has been the April Fool's Date. ;)

Free movies, anyone?

For those in Baguio and Cebu, you're the next stop of the KOREAN FILM FESTIVAL.

It wasn't planned but since my friends and I were given tickets, we headed to SM Megamall and watch whatever is there.  And the 4:30 scheduled movie happened to be ARAHAN which description didn't do any justice to it. I thought that I'd get bored or something but the movie's so good, just watch it and you won't be disappointed, really.

And I just have to give props to the crowd who watched Arahan with me last Saturday for being responsive. I mean, isn't it great to have the other viewers react and laugh with you while watching?

PS. Also, I believe the screenings were all jumpacked. I didn't notice it at first since we had decent seats, but there were people standing and some were already seating on the aisles. Line up early since its free admission. :)
