I put the watermarks before I finally decided to make the URL xtintina. haha.

This is one of the hotels in Newport City Complex across Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. I read somewhere that they recently won an award but I forgot what was it. Congrats, Marriott Hotel! Well-deserved! Here's to more staycations for me. Charrrrrr. :)))

Below are pictures from Marriott Hotel that I took once upon a time...
There's a way/bridge from the hotel to RWM.

Seeing this sign reminded me a lot of Genting Highlands in Malaysia which actually isn't surprising since they're both Resort's World.

It was more kilig though for me since I was there for an overnight stay and not just to sight see.
Stayed at room 543.
Bathroom.

As if seeing my already big pores isn't enough, there's a magnifying mirror there. lol.
It was during typhoon Lando and Metro Manila was under signal number two that we were there. Since the weather was cold I was wearing my BB jacket most of the time. Walang sawa sa BB jacket kasi wala namang choice at super comfy naman niya gamitin.
One of the best feeling is seeing your name flashed in the television once you enter the room. But it was my roommate's name that was typed there so unfortunately, I did not feel the best feeling. Hahaha!
Our beds huhuhu I want to go back plssss.
Only a glass wall divides the bathroom and the entire room but no need to panic since there are curtain blinds which control buttons are found beside the door.

Another thing that I liked about Marriott's bathroom aside from the bath tub was there were two types of shower heads: one was the hand held shower wand and the other was the rain shower head.... if you're getting the picture. Haha.
Toothbrushes and lotion bottle.
Aroma therapy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

I love the smell of these but I wasn't able to use any since I brought my own shampoo and conditioner. Hindi na keri pag hindi ako nag cream silk, it's that phase when it's a bad hair day everyday for me. Need to have my hair rebonded na!!
Went to Resort's World for a cup of matcha from UCC. Will be blogging them next time because I need to visit again for their matcha products.
Good morning, Marriott Hotel!!

I slept well despite the difficulty of falling sleep at first. It was a challenge since I wasn't used to using very soft pillows, good thing I had like four of them that I piled up.
The pool area overlooking the metro skyline.

Now that I am thinking of it, I don't remember hearing sounds of airplanes while there even if it's near Terminal 3.
Pool Bar and Gym area.

Their Quan Spa also has steam bath, jacuzzi and sauna facilities that can be accessed by all guests as well.
Kakain na lang... nakadress pa ganyan.
Kuya and I...

May mai-caption lang. The pool was only 5 feet deep but I like the water quality. Wished they had a deeper pool.
These are for sale.
The 15th Grand Wine Experience. Stella Artois is the only one I can recognize in this picture.
BREAKFAST BUFFET!!!!

MY GOLLY!!!
I have no pictures of all the buffet selections which is a fail because there are definitely a lot of choices.

From these cheeses to Japanese food to Filipino food. As in almost everything that I could think of eating for breakfast was there.
<3
I ate a lot which is a no-brainer but one thing that I really liked is that Matcha Gelato is included in the breakfast buffet. Although I am having matcha every morning, I still got excited when I found out that gelatos were buffet inclusive.

Those bottles on the right were fruit juices - I especially like the four seasons and apple flavors.
Morning swim and morning emo.
'Yung stolen shot na mukhang, "Whatever! Mag staycation ako ng mag staycation." Haha. Wow burgithhhhhh.
Told you it was BB and me almost all the time.
'Yan lang BB ko eh, 'yung jacket. hehe.

Overall, I had a very pleasant stay at Marriott Hotel in Pasay. We encountered no problem with our room and with the staff since they were attentive, helpful, and courteous.

Oh, you can't operate the elevator unless you swipe your room card because it uses a key-card system for added security function. It is a system that we were unfamiliar with at first that going back to our floor was a problem because we couldn't swipe our room card right or there was a problem with our floor's button that it doesn't get pushed. Hahaha!

More of this plez... para masanay. :))

Winter fun all-year-round.

Our country is blessed with only two seasons and that's probably the reason why a lot of Filipinos dream of experiencing snow, white Christmas etc. at least once. I, myself, dream of experiencing snow someday and what is snow without skiing, ice skating , snowman-making ganyan di ba? So in preparation for that, I am trying to learn ice skating prior to my trip. :))

I went ice skating twice last May. One with my girl friends in Mall of Asia and the other in Megamall with my sister and my cousin's son.

The "planning" stage went like this: Since it was so hot then, we wanted to go to somewhere cold. Knowing us, it was very unlikely that we settle with just heading to the coldest mall we could think of and spend the entire day eating and watching movies. Since 2011, it became our tradition to do something unique everytime our BFF group goes out. Andyan na 'yung Pasig Ferry Cruise, Intramuros field trip, swimming and gym day, jogging kuno sa Venice Piazza (Of all places, diba? Sa Venice Piazza pa at tanghaling tapat. HAHAHA) etc.

As we were searching online for the things that we can do na hindi kailangan mainitan at gumastos ng bongga, I stumbled upon SM Ice Skating's post last May 1, 2014...

That's me and my other group of friends in the picture. They used this without my/our consent and even removed the watermark I placed at the bottom. Picture link: here. I wasn't mad or anything but I shared the post in my facebook page saying how "talikodgenic" we were that SM even used our picture without permission.

When my BFF girl friends saw the post, they got interested in trying out ice skating too so we did.
When we were still looking at the skaters, we were considering backing out.

"I think it would be best for us to just watch a movie or go bowling..." But our adventurous side insisted and said, "Whatever. Let's buy tickets now."
It was my second time but the kuya still had to redo my laces. Wow, prinsesa lang.

We looked like struggling skaters and the little girl whom I found really cute before we entered the rink approached us and our conversation kind of went this way:

Girl: Ate, you don't know how to skate? Why you don't know how to skate?
Me: 'Cause it's our first time. Can you teach us some techniques so we'd learn fast?

She taught us some moves and skated away as we stood there trying to apply what we've learned but still struggling. Hahaha.

She went back and told us, "Ate, kanina you don't know but now you know na?" The way that girl speaks reminds me of someone. Hehehehe. May chance ata ang future child/ren ko to talk that way. I also hope that my junakis will be as confident as her. 4 years old lang siguro 'yung batang 'yun. #assumera #bakamagingnanay hahahaha.

My third was in the ice skating rink of SM Megamall's newest building.
I like Megamall's ice skating shoes better.
After an hour of circling the rink, we went out to eat at Kyochon Philippines link: here and rested a bit at Megamall's Prestige lounge link: here.
I still don't watch movies at an SM Cinema but I make it a point to enter a prestige lounge to ask for a glass of iced tea and also because restrooms inside the lounge are better than other SM restrooms.

Someday, Mt. Pinatubo!! <3
Went back to the rink to skate some more before going home.
Compared to my first and second, I became more relaxed and more confident the third time. Bow.
Lockers in Megamall are pricier. For one time open lang kasi so everytime you need to get something inside/open the door, tapos na 'yung rent mo. You'd have to pay P 40.00 for another usage. Pero whatevs, these lockers are safer in their own way.
RATES: MOA AND MEGAMALL

WEEKDAYS: P 300.00
WEEKEND/HOLIDAYS: P 390.00

All day ice skating and inclusive of shoe rental.

Was at the closing of the PyroMusical Competition this evening at MOA.

We were given complimentary tickets for the Silver area but then we had them upgraded to Gold for only P 50.00. So we watched the whole program in the least crowded space yet with the perfect view of the fireworks.

Pictures have no watermarks inaantok na ko! I know they're not of the best quality but please still credit them back here if you're copying. :)

The pictures do not justify the magnificence of each display and the feeling of seeing them in person is something indescribable either.

But tonight's the closing already, see you next year again, Pyro!

le tweet: Pamatay 'yung sa Canada, syempre mas pamatay 'yung Philippines... pinaka-pamatay 'yung byahe pauwi. :))) #Pyro2013

P.S We also observed the Earth Hour in MOA.

Another break from my Ilocos series post.

"The Ultimate Shopping Destination for the Best Travel Deals"
hehehehe. Wawa us, walang pang shopping.

I asked my friend the possible reason why I want to see this in person...
"Miss You Like Crazy?"
Hahahaha. IKR!
Someday, Petronas Twin Towers.

And where I captured this photo was where we wanted to watch the Pyrolypics for fee.
But this is a fail space.

During Japan's turn, I just wanted to break everything that was blocking our view. For the price of nothing? You'd see nothing too. HAHAHA
"Lipat Bahay" to the open parking space near IMAX Theatre.
OMG.
But since we were so far, it was a silent fireworks show. We didn't get to hear the musical part.
But yea, for those who doesn't want to pay the entrance fees. It wouldn't hurt to not have a background song.
Still a spectacular show without music. :))

My friends and I tried ice skating at MOA yesterday, we were all first timers except for one. She knows her thing while the rest if us were trembling at first, trembling with excitement? fear? low temperature? I say, ALL.

For P 390.00, an unlimited weekend pass inclusive of shoes rental and the chance to learn a new skill... worth it, isn't it?

P 30.00 for a locker, and there are also available kuyas whom you can pay for skating tutorials.

P.S All pics are from them, I can barely manage skating much more operating a camera.

There isn't a different fee for shoe rental, it's included with the entrance fee, just have to bring your socks with you.

I learned.
But only when I have companions I can skate from one end to another.

I didn't fell down,  but I didn't skate around alone that much either. I had to stay by the sides so I'd have something to hold onto on most times. Or I'd have to ask them to stay with me and go near the center so we can skate alone going back to the railings. Haha
Foam snow

This is what I'm talking about, 50% of the time, I was just there practicing at the sides. Hahaha.

It's not like I came there with the expectations of learning nor being good, but I did! Well, not that good, but I learned. I just have to try skating again and maybe break through the barriers that are stopping me.

You may learn the basics from watching,  from reading a book and by asking pointers from others, but the best thing is to get down there and try. You may need the help of others or look for something to hold onto at first, but once you've gathered enough courage, you'd be able to let go of the railings or hands of your friends and go farther by yourself.

It was a tiresome but very enjoyable night!
Now waiting for our second time..
