This post will include photos from Tagalag Mini Park and Kamayan sa Palapat, Valenzuela City

We wanted to eat here at Tata Celo but they were closed that day so we looked for another restaurant.

There are ample parking spaces provided by the bigger restaurants but I don't know if there are other parking spaces in the area if you want to park and walk along the stretch of the fishing village. The road is narrow and there are a lot of establishments such as houses and stores beside it.

The perfect mode of transportation going here should be via motorcyle or bicycle - probably the reason why this is more frequented by motorcycle enthusiasts like what I've observed in Facebook posts.

Kamayan sa Palapat is a pet-friendly restaurant. There were other fur-babies dining that afternoon as well.

They have delicious and budget-friendly food. I wasn't actively blogging when we visited this place so I have no photos of the food we ate.

There is a fish pond at the back of the "kubo" in the above picture. I've forgotten the price but you rent it for a certain consumable amount should you want to stay in those "private areas"

Feeling Spring with this artificial Sakura tree.

After eating, we walked to Tagalag Mini Park which is near Kamayan sa Palapat. It would have been better to spend longer time here but we couldn't since we just left our car in the restaurant's parking area and it was almost dinner rush.

There is a place here where you can fish and pay your catch per kilo. We have been meaning to go back and try that out but never had the chance until now.

This is in Valenzuela - around 40 minutes from home if travelling via NLEX and without traffic but it looks like we travelled far.

I've always wanted to come up with a post/index of the different PET-FRIENDLY PLACES in this blog but never had the chance to do so until today. Anyway, I will be filling this list slowly since posting takes time and I have quite a number of places in my backlog already.

Lua (my dog) has gone farther than the Metro so I'm calling this page PET-FRIENDLY PLACES in the PHILIPPINES instead of just Metro Manila.

Where to stay in Tagaytay? You might want to consider this place.

This post will include photos from Hotel Montecillo in Tagaytay. We went here pre-pandemic so there might be some changes. I haven't been blogging regularly since 2020 but I'm trying to change that this year. Haha.

Book your stay HERE.

We booked a family/quadruple room.

We had our own bathroom, refrigerator, four single beds, television with cable, wifi connection. Free use of the heated pool, free parking, and buffet breakfast for four were included in the package as well.

View the current rate of an overnight stay HERE.

Bathroom area was huge. Left side on the picture above is the shower area, right side is the toilet. Toiletries and bath towels were provided as well.

Rooms are provided with instant teas and coffees as well.

MACAU Travel Guide

This is the view outside our window. It was a quiet hotel - perfect for relaxation/staycations. There are restaurants in the area but wasn't overly crowded. Well, this is a weekday trip so people visiting Tagaytay were definitely less that usual.

This was a heated pool.

We had the entire pool to ourselves that afternoon even though the hotel had several other guests.

View from Starbucks, Tagaytay.

Woke up to this bed weather. If the package didn't have a buffet breakfast, we would have lied down the entire morning and just look at the fog. lol

I love this Tagaytay weather. <3 I don't have pictures from the buffet breakfast but it was mostly Filipino cuisine.

This is one of the two places that we intended to visit during our Three-Hour Cebu Tour. 'Yung totoo, parang na-traffic lang sa EDSA. 😂

These are just some photos of the place.

There aren't a lot of information needed before going. Probably just the basic reminder like wear comfortable clothes and footwear since there are a lot of steps in going around the entire place.

Entrance Fee: P 70.00/person

This was our first flyout since 2020 and we were kinda feeling lost at first because it felt awkward taking photos and posing for lotsa photos again. It got better though the during the next days of our tour or so I'd like to think that it did.

I love visiting flower gardens such as this. I still haven't been to that one in Benguet but this one's beautiful too. Just that we were here at around 10 AM so it was hot.

Going up and down the slopes and photo spots may become exhausting and difficult for some people, just need to take your time and not rush the whole experience.

Loving the mountain range background in this photo.

Showing my CGM hair.
It wasn't the best hair day but not too bad, right?

We didn't have enough time and we only stayed for less than an hour. Allot more time to be able to take better photos these. haha! There are long queues in some photo spots.

It has become a very beautiful place with all the landscaping and flowers everywhere. I was having second thoughts at first since I've been here before but I'm glad I went back.

Back in the Queen City of the South - CEBU

Boracay was our destination but while booking flights, we saw an 8-hour opportunity and we grabbed it.

We saw that there was a flight with an 8-hour layover in Cebu en route to Caticlan and so we took that. However, a few days before our trip, the layover was shortened to 5 hours.

Basically, this is a three-hour day trip.

Disregarding the potential of a delayed flight and traffic congestion in Cebu - we took the risk and pushed through this crazy idea. We're glad we did.

Our reason for this layover was because we only wanted to accomplish three things:

1. See Sirao Garden
2. See Little Kyoto
3. Eat authentic Lechon Cebu

This isn't a practical decision tbh 'cause of the additional cost and the cramped tour schedule so I won't recommend this especially for those who haven't toured around Cebu but since we did this, I will be sharing some photos.

We rented a car and had a driver with us for the entire 3-4 hours so I don't know how to get to these places using public transportation.

May our Tokyo heartbreak get a revenge so our hearts can heal someday. Our cancelled trip in 2020 would become three years ago in a few weeks but we still feel sad and regretful whenever Japan is mentioned. Hahaha! Ang hirap mag let go! 😂

Since hindi pa kaya ulit ng totoong Tokyo, dito muna.

Overlooking Metro Cebu! I would love to spend an afternoon/night here drinking beer and eating isaw. That seems fun!

Throwback:

Mukhang horror pala  'yung naka-blur na tao sa background. hahaha!

Our driver recommended that we visit this place as well since it's in the area but we didn't have enough time. Thinking of posting this too once I post the individual posts for the places above.

This for P 350.00 (?)

I don't remember paying this much when we dined in a Cebu Lechon restaurant before but yeah, we didn't have enough time to eat outside nor did we have another choice aside from paying the exorbitant airport price for a meal. We thought, "kesa umalis kami ng Cebu ng hindi nakatikim ng lechon." Buti na lang masarap 'to.

Photo from pungko-pungko.

This is also a must-try when in Cebu.

Blogging and taking photos to post on this blog feels weird now. It used to be natural before but I feel awkward now. HAHA! I didn't even took photos with the intentions of making a guide online but I decided that I keep this blog going (12th year this 2023 😳😳😳) and try to update frequently again, I'm paying for the domain after all.
