Villa Socorro Sabanana Chips

I've always loved banana chips (come to think of it, there's nothing I don't love) and Villa Socorro Sabanana Chips is the best I've eaten so far; it had the right amount of sweetness and crunch and each chip is so thin. I bought this at East Ave. Hospital for P 40.00 together with Marc Daniel's Soya Milk for P 35.00. I was meaning to buy another pack but forgot to pass by the kiosk before leaving. Tsk.

On the other hand, Marc Daniel's Soya Milk was so-so. Maybe I'm just used to the variant I'm buying at groceries. The one in a glass bottle.

If Villa Socorro Sabanana Chips is readily available anywhere then it'd be great 'cause I've been looking for it in nearby groceries but there's none.

For the meantime, I'd just look around and hope that I could spot this treat again.

MRT Stored Value Card

If you ride the MRT on regular basis and can afford to buy this 100.00 card, then buy. MRT isn't the most comfortable (not that other transportation is comfortable) on rush hours and this stored value card would save you a lot of time on lines which can be such a hassle plus it has a bonus ride if the credit has reached less than 10.00 or the minimum ride fare. A card has a validity of three months.

P.S. A lot of you reach this page with a keyword of "no stored value in MRT," there are SVs depending on which station you're at.

Bake and Churn Ice Cream Cake

Want ice cream? want cake? Or would you rather have both?
In that case, want ice cream cake?

This was bought by my cousin. She told me that she got the a brochure from and this whole cake only costs P 200.00 if I'm not mistaken. Ice cream cakes really are good but they're not readily available for me right now because the Bake and Churn stall is no longer at Northridge Plaza, Congressional Avenue.  Anyway, it's not like I can eat this everyday. Nevertheless, it's still worth noting that there is still a store where one can buy cheaper yet delicious ice cream cakes if he/she crave for some.

Chef D' Angelo Buffet at MOA

We were looking for a restaurant to eat at and passed by Chef D' Angelo. At their window was a tarpaulin about the pizza, pasta, salad, soup eat-all-you can for P150.00. We decided to eat there 'cause we were all hungry and got nowhere else that we can think of.

So okay, upon entering it turned out to be a P 225.00 buffet. Why? I think because they included rice meals  in the choices that there was a P 25.00 increase plus P 50.00 for bottomless drinks.

These are what I had.
Rice Pillaff, Breaded Fish with Sauce, Boiled Young Potatoes with Dressing (?), Caesar Salad, Anchovy Pizza. There are actually around 3 kinds of pasta sauces, 2 viands, 2 kinds of pizza, soup and other vegetables for the salad to choose from. They always refill their buffet with different kinds of foods so just hope that they'd refill it with something which you like. In my case, I hoped for a pepperoni pizza.

Pepperoni Pizza and Another round of potatoes.

Margherita Pizza

Buffet on weekdays starts at 6 PM and ends by 8 PM. For P 175.00, it's worth it considering that you can eat everything you want and an ala carte pizza+pasta combo meal there from what I remember costs around  P 145.00. So there, another carbo-loading meal and sugar level increase because of the iced teas. Whatever.

Buddy's Pancit Lucban at Longganisang Lucban

I have never attended Quezon's Pahiyas Festival but upon entering Buddy's Restaurant at Timog, it seems like I kind of know what decorations to expect if ever I'd attend the Festival.  We've passed by there before and noticed their tagline, "Parang fiesta araw-araw."

This is a self-service restaurant. Is that how you call it? when you need to order first before sitting down? Their service was good too though, the waiters paid attention to the customers.

With all the kiping and sunflower designs, they really are keeping up with their tagline. The ambiance is great and the colors were pleasing to the eyes.

Foods are reasonably priced although we only got to eat two kinds. Pizza and Pancit Lucban.

This is a solo pizza. I am not sure what the price is but it ranges from 100.00 to 135.00. I was supposed to order Longganiza but upon seeing this from the menu, I decided to order one. Longganiza and Quesong Puti Supreme Pizza. It's kind of different 'cause this is a combination of local and western taste, nevertheless, I loved it.

And Pancit Lucban. This is good for 2-3 persons worth around P 140.00. This was delicious but we weren't able to eat everything  'cause the serving was big and I was already full from eating all 3 slices of pizza.

I'd love to go back there to try their other foods and better yet, their pizza again.

Graham Cake? Tiramisu?

What do you call this?

I figured another way to make graham cake. I used to layer mango or peach slices, cream with condensed milk and graham crackers before. But I found out that it tastes better when you blend the mango with cream and condensed milk and just pour the mixture in between the graham crackers. Just make sure there would be mango bits left though.
