This is a do it yourself... because you're the only person who can make yourself genuinely happy. And in this world where only the fittest survive (Hindi to physical ha! Pag physical kasi, dapat ngayon pa lang out na ko hahaha!), you need to have balls. Hugot pa more. hehehe.

Lolz, here's a simple yet very "fun to make" dessert which you can also sell in order to create another source of income. O diberrr. For us though, we made ours so we can torture ourselves because shaping these balls can get a little boring, ang repetitive kasi pero some say that is the fun and exciting part. Owkei na lang. Ayan ha, happy balls! Promoting happiness ito. You can do this alone but it's a lot better to do this with a person who makes you happy para hindi torture kundi quality time. HAHAHAHAHAHA.

Ingredients:
Crushed Graham
Condensed Milk
Fresh Milk

Others:
Sprinkles
Crushed Graham
Marshmallow
Desiccated Coconut

Pag galit ka at wala kang mapagbuntunan ng galit, bili ka ng graham crackers na dudurugin. :)
Combine the condensed milk and crushed grahams.

Crushed grahams are readily available in groceries but we used the chocolate variant so crushing these without a food processor? Hehehe. Kanya kanyang strategy 'yan.
Pag may tao kang gustong paamuhin, haluin mo lang using your bare hands at ipakain sa kaniya ang finished product.  Ewan ko na lang.. :))
Add fresh milk until you reach the consistency you desire.
This is what ours looked like before we shaped it into bite-sized balls.
Here's the best part! Shaping the balls.

Mold the balls in the size you want. You can opt to put chocolate or marshmallow inside each ball. Ours was plain though.
Because sprinkles will make these too sweet and just crushed graham crackers will make these look too plain, we used desiccated coconut.
Here's the basic recipe for graham balls. Basic lang naman talaga, ingredients are readily found and no need for baking skills. Patience lang na unfortunately, nandun naman nung gumagawa ako pero mej katamad talaga mag-bilog.

This is best served when chilled. Alam mo 'yung madaan lang ako sa ref, kuha ng isa hanggang sampung piraso. Yan yan... at least happy. :))

It has been more than four years since I first tasted Wicked Oreos in a restaurant at Katipunan Avenue. Right at my first spoonful, it was really good but I also thought that it would be easy to make it at home too.

Here's a recipe and a pictures guide for do-it-yourself fried oreos.

This is already my third attempt.
Looking at all the ingredients, can you still think of any possible reason why fried oreos wouldn't taste good if properly done? None, right? 'Cause apparently, each of its ingredients is perfect on its own.

Selecta Ice Cream - P 120.00 (This is served with Vanilla ice cream but for more flavors. hehe.)
Maya Pancake Mix - P 68.50
UFC Palmoil - P 31.25
Oreo Cookies - P 72.50

Total : P 292. 25

You'd have 24 pieces of fried oreos, and an extra pack of pancake mix since a pack is enough to coat all 24 pieces of oreos.
Mix the pancake mix as per instruction of what you've bought.
I preferred mine to be the "Just add water" variant.
Dip your oreos and coat them in the batter.

Deep fry.
Well, technically, this isn't deep fried but this did what has to be done.

To fry oreos until golden brown. hehehe

Not the most photogenic wicked oreos of all but yea, still good specially when served immediately.

You'd love the contrast of the cold ice cream and the newly-fried oreos.

Ano nga?
Hipon na may Kamias at Kamatis.

I tried searching the web for a recipe of this Kapampangan dish but couldn't find any. I learned about this in an episode of Jessica Soho Reports several weeks ago but I have already forgotten the instructions and the measurements so I had to rely solely on my not-really-existent-cooking-prowess. Well, as if there's anything new, I am always backed by my instinct if there's something I'm unsure of and hope that it turns out good. And fortunately, it did. I just don't know if this is supposed to taste this way.

Kamias
Kamatis
Hipon - shrimps this big are usually sold for P 350.00 - P 400.00 per kilo. Today's price is P 380.00.

I don't really know why am I stopping myself from buying milk teas. The weirdo me abstains from it but still eat other foods, the weirdo me abstains from it but still doesn't save! I realized that there's no point in whatever this is that I'm doing; I'm not saving money nor losing any weight but I continue depriving myself nonetheless. hahaha

But here it is.

Basta Korean, gusto ko na?? Hindi noh!

I'll tell you something:
I was introduced to Bon Chon Chicken in Ayala Triangle first before I met Jaejoongie. Met talaga. Hahaha. I loved the soy garlic chicken prior to liking KimJJ though okay fine, I started watching Kdramas and Jdramas in 2009 but not a member of the fandom until I became a fan of JYJ nor have been into any authentic Korean restaurant until May 2012, here.

ANYWHO, ANYHOW, ANYWAY,

I  completely loved my chicken cooked the Korean Style.
Hello, Bon Chon, Chicken Charlie, Smoper and Manangs! The cravings were always there, isn't it obvious? Good thing I saw this Chicken mix on the racks a few months ago while we were doing grocery. This batter mix and sauce tastes similar with those available in fastfoods.

I am unsure of the price but this one's definitely less than P 50.00.
No double frying just coat the raw chicken with the batter and deep fry.
Voila! Your home made Korean Style Fried Chicken.
thigh part bias as always
If fried right, the batter would give you enough crispiness.
But the sauce kills this. I so so so love the sauce!

There are other variants (Kimchi, Bulgogi and Spicy) though I haven't tasted the others but this one.

I saw a tarpaulin ad of this, these are not the right words but it was something like "Kpop your chicken" I want mine to be, "KJaejoongiefy your chicken." hahahaha. I'm not into the world of Kpop per se but Kdramas and of course, KimJJ though he's actually a part of Kpop. What I am trying to say here is my love for JJ isn't the reason why I appreciated this too. Kain lang ng kain!!

The next activity that day was to try making a Quezon delicacy, NILUPAK.
First we harvested cassava from the backyard.

They peeled them for boiling.

Some were fried. These are kamote-fries.

After boiling, just soft and not soggy.

They're ready to be hand-milled. And this is not an easy task!

I kept on pounding the ingredients (kamote, sugar, condensed milk and peanut butter) hard for around ten minutes, I was perspiring like crazy from the hard work and my fingers were shaking after! good thing my nilupak didn't come out salty.. haha. LOL. It was still a fun experience anyway.

And this has got to be the best and tastiest and most sumptuous and most delicious and most delectable and finger-licking nilupak ever made! Of course I'm exaggerating, but the mere fact that it was I who hand-milled this makes it more special than anything else. ;)
