Here are some of the pictures I got from an almost 2 hours walk around a fish port.

Despite always passing by a wet market because the jeepney terminals are most of the times located near one, it's pretty rare or should I say super kaduper rare that I am able to enter and buy there.

This is the first time that I've gone to a fish port and thus, this is blog-worthy. ehehe

*I have anticipated the smell and the dirt/mud whatevers that I'd encounter taking into consideration how clumsy I am in every way.

UPDATE: NAVOTAS FISH PORT COMPLEX 2023

If they catch tons daily for human consumption, gaano karami kayang isda at mga hayop ang nasa dagat?
Sobrang amazing.
I just wish that they are still able to multiply and replenish kahit araw-araw hinuhuli.

And last but not the least, hindi naman ako marunong mamili ng isda. At sa totoo niyan, 5 isda nga lang ata 'yung kaya kong ma-classify; bangus, tilapia, galunggong, dalagang bukid at hito. Joke.

I didn't regret having visited one despite what I wrote above, I'd love to explore around a fish port given another chance but only with longer shorts and a tee na walang punit sa balikat. Medyo na wrong outfit ako dun eh.

FYI: Since it's a fish port, you'd have to buy in bulk as in banye-banyera. And for that day, since the supply were few mas mataas 'yung presyo nung mga isda... ang kadalasan na presyuhan daw kasi sa GG e P 50.00/kilo but we bought ours for P 80.00/kilo at may tawad na 'yan dahil P 100.00/kilo - P 110.00/kilo daw talaga ang bentahan nila. But I went to Save More that afternoon and saw that the price of GG was P 179.00/kilo. Doble ang presyo at mas malalaki pa nga 'yung nabili namin sa fish port.
This is moi with some fishing vessels at the background.

All in all, this fish port visit was another adventure for me despite it being a normal day to day activity for some.

And their, oh so Yummy Rice!

Singaporean foods?

We've passed by Yummy Roast for a lot of times already (near Eastwood's Cybermall) but haven't had a chance to eat there. Lol, okay. 'Cause I haven't heard of it before and there were only few people eating there whenever I pass by, I had always been skeptical.

Sorry YR for misjudging you.
This wasn't my meal...
I chose this tofu meal.

So I don't know what the sauce is but it compliments the tofu and their rice very well, there's also a vinegar in the condiments area which I paired with this too.

The real star for YR's meal, for me, is their Yummy Rice. Of course, I won't know how to describe its taste, but I can say that it would definitely make you come back for more.

The cravings...

Enjoyed this choco banana bread for the second time around.
Is this considered a gelato addiction?
Not to mention that the flavors I got are love.

Green Tea and Cream Cheese!
I don't know if there was a slight cream cheese taste in that white colored gelato. Nevertheless, green tea was lurve! hehehe

A Paradise in the heart of Pampanga.

We went there last Black Saturday, March 30, and I was the most indecisive person ever. Like, I was having second thoughts even until the moment I was packing my things.

But I still went and here's what happened:

After a long "facelifting" ride along NLEX, c/o the high wind pressure from a fast moving car with open windows; we arrived at the place where escape was possible. With its aviary, aquariums and well-maintained landscapes, cottages and pools, you would't ask for more. Also for only P 180.00 entrance fee, Alfredo's Resort is the place to be.

Excuse the face... ;)

Started the day with pool hopping.
They have 6 pools which include 1 Aztec-themed wave pool (bottom left), that pool with an island (bottom right) and a bridge, the children's pool with a playground (upper left) and the pirate-themed wading pool (upper right and middle pictures), dinosaurs-themed pool and the other that has two slides.

Water quality: The pirate-themed pool water was kinda off (accdg. to a description I heard from another visitor, "Ba't ganun? Lasang maalat, na maasim, na ewan.") but it's just a wading pool so I don't care about that too much. I enjoyed mimicking the poses of the statues in that area (middle)  while having my photos taken and that, for me, mattered more. hihi

The pool at the bottom right picture, for me, had the best water quality for that day. I was able to open my eyes underwater without the pain caused by the chemicals and the taste was okay. Except that pool had a lot of trees around it so there were floating twigs and leaves but there's a Kuya who always scoop them out.

I noticed not only the Kuyas who keep on removing fallen leaves out of the pool, there were also more than enough lifeguards in each pool esp. the wave pool.

After pool hopping, it was the time to walk around and explore the whole resort.

Mage-enjoy ka ng maligo, mage-enjoy ka rin mag-picture and enjoy din looking around the different kinds of plants and flowers which some, I heard, were rare and exotic.
There are also some animals available for viewing... free.
And for P 30.00 entrance fee at their Aviary, you get the chance for an intimate encounter with some birds, snakes, lizards and much more.
Unlimited photo-ops with these animals for only P 30.00. As in kukunin mo lang 'yung ibon sa tayuan nila (kung matapang ka) at pwede na.

The cheapest I've been at so far... Ajujujuju. May replacement pa naman akong ginagamit and repairable pa naman, wala pa kasi akong pandikit.

So these has been it.
We stayed in a kubo cottage for a whole day rent of  P 700.00.

My concerns before I went there were:
1. Baka marami na namang tao masyado... ugh, yes, definitely there were a lot of people but good thing there were a lot of pools and other things to do that people were scattered. hahaha.

2. Baka mangitim NA NAMAN ako. hahahahahahahahhahahahhahahahahaahahaha.
DUH.
Kailan ba ko pumuti kasi?
But I seriously feel that I'm currently two tones darker than the usual all thanks to my Ilocos Tour last Feb.
But I regret nothing!

Here's Villa Alfredo's Website.

It's April Fool's day, yes, it's already April!

But for us it's April 1st Date with Lloydie.

The opening was yesterday, easter Sunday, and I was thinking of seeing it on its second week in theaters. But one of my friends tweeted us last night and asked us if we were free to watch the movie today. And of course, who am I to refuse when it's JL we're talking about? Hence, we watched it on its second day!

I was like, "Ano, papareserve ko na sa sureseats?"
then,
"Okay na, K13, K14 and K15 are reserved."

HAHAHAHAHA.
Hindi halata na fangirl ako, noh?

I won't review the movie  I'm not a critic but I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Winner talaga!

And yes, we commit mistakes and we also deserve second (third, fourth, fifth...) chances in life.

After the movie, we made use of the coupon in our movie tickets which entitled us to buy one, free one gelato scoop in Gelatissimo (1,2) My orders were chocolate creme brulee and macadamia and caramel.

That's two small cups for only P 110.00.

And this has been the April Fool's Date. ;)
