Nakakainis, Tin. Bakit mo pa inuna 'tong i-post? :(( Sorry na puowzh. Update ko naman na 'to as frequent as I can in the coming days to lessen the backlogs. :(

I heard that this was featured in the program, "Byahe ni Drew" so here's our version of our Bataan Adventure in Playa La Caleta. <3

Just in case you, guys, are looking for a budget-friendly beach near Manila and/or looking for more details about the said place, here you go! In our case, budget-friendly na nga, felt like a private beach resort pa. Hihi.

We initially didn't want to go but that morning around 10 AM, all of a sudden, we were like "Ano? Hihintayin daw tayo hanggang 12 kung pupunta tayo", "G ako kung G kayo." "Tara."

Packed the things that I thought I'll need, headed to our meeting place, went to the bus station.

Aside from it being in Bataan, I don't have an idea on where we were going nor what to expect for the next two days.

Pictures naaaaa.

After a bus ride to Bataan and a jeepney ride to this beach, we rode a boat to Playa La Caleta.

I honestly don't know which route we took but you may look into the directions to Las Casas 'cause it's in the area.

This is where we slept for that night. <3 Bes, ang ganda!!!!!! I wasn't expecting this 'cause I thought we were just pitching tents. By the way, no signal for globe subscribers in Playa La Caleta but worry not since you'd have a lot of activities to do.

We weren't prepared. HAHAHA!

We were only able to bring three cans of tuna, three fuji apples, and skyflakes. Good thing that they have their sari-sari store there. All items are surprisingly reasonably-priced. As in, walang kahit anong pakiramdam na overpricing. Hindi masakit sa puso. Hihi. Pero syempre mas maganda pa rin kung baon kayong matinong food kasi natikman namin lahat ng delata sa outing na 'yon.

Playa La Caleta Rates

I don't have their contact numbers. Laking tulong ko, noh! I'll try to become a better blogger this year. Trust me on this. :)

We ate dinner. Did what we initially wanted to do, stargazed by the shore and after a while decided to swim even if it was dark.

I won't trade a night of stargazing while floating on the ocean for any other kind of night out. (Well, except for more stargazing elsewhere perhaps.) I know how to swim and I'm not terrified of the ocean (surprising) but I was kinda scared that night because we had no source of light aside from the moon and the stars... still that moment is something I'll treasure. Wala. Ansaya. Something I've always wanted to do.

After washing up, I went back to the shore, laid there for some minutes while looking at the stars. Huhuhu. First time being in a dark place (almost alone 'cause my companions were by the cottage) and yet I felt so comfortable and safe. Listening at the sound of the ocean, looking at the night sky filled with stars while feeling the salty and chilly air blowing is one of my definitions of the word LOVE. Grateful to the universe for making me feel this love countless of times.

We wanted to wake up early and catch the sunrise but aside from the mountain blocking it, it was a cloudy morning. lol. hahaha. We kind of slept in.

Hammocks and Gazebos <3

Our view that beautiful morning.

The more beautiful me while looking at the beautiful view. HAHA

Me from afar.

If you can notice me sitting by the shore.

We were supposed to trek to a nearby falls that morning but the plan didn't push through because there was no guide that time.

Playa La Caleta and Miguelito Island

It's an estuary!

This is where the fresh water from the falls flow and combine with the salt water of the ocean.

We walked towards the other end of the cove where it was rocky and filled with snails that know how to play dead whenever they sense someone walking towards them. As in. Nakakatuwa how they detach from the stone and fall off to the ground once you go near them. hahaha!

I have no idea what it is but I've decided that it'll be for keeps. <3

They rented a frisbee and played while I decided to go for a morning swim 'cause I hate running at ayokong naghahabol. HAHAHA. Charu!! Aside from frisbee, boomerang, balls, floaters, you can also rent a kayaks and paddle boards there.

Selfie while enjoying the water all by myself.

Good thing it wasn't rocky and there weren't a lot of fishes so it felt safe to swim even if I was alone.

Yay! I've always wanted to have a picture like this!! HEHEHE!

My friend and I were having a heart to heart talk while sitting on those (they had two) when our companions called us to go to Miguelito Island.

So ito 'yung way. Kawawa but sturdy my Havaianas flipflops pero tribu or any hiking sandals na next time.

She was the tide, always drifting in and out of the lives of those who loved her, eternally indecisive, unable to discern whether she desired the solidity and safety of land, or the wild freedom of the ocean.

It's a good thing that it was cloudy that day because the walk to the island was kinda long.

Island na hindi mukhang salbahe pero salbahe HAHAHA

O ANO?! PAGOD AKO!!!

There's this mini lagoon where we dipped our feet for a while and there were sea urchins there. After swimming at a lot of oceans and seeing several sea urchins, may mukha pala sila? :))

I wasn't intending to post this picture so there's no watermark but I just wanted to show you where the picture of the sea urchin was taken. Sila naman nagsabi na keri lang ilagay mga fez nila. Kk

There was a trail so we went up but it wasn't leading anywhere but the view area so we went down again. Supposedly, the island is a backtrail but the "hiker" in us decided that it'll be a traverse. Huhu. Konting sugat lang naman dahil sa gasgas sa corals at sa mga batong dinaanan makapag-traverse lang.

There were a lot of fishes in this area but the water was shallow and the waves were strong that's why snorkeling wasn't a good idea. May mga sea urchins din kasi. Konting bugbog lang, friends. We survived naman not unscathed nga lang.

Decided to "cliff dive"

It looks shallow but the water then was deep. Di na ko nakakaapak sa sea floor.

BES UNG PATA MO BES

QUESTION: SAN NAKAKABILI NG OH MY ULAM NA DINAKDAKAN VARIANT?! ANG SARAPPPPP!! Seryoso, hindi lang dahil gutom kami niyan, ang sarap talaga! I've been looking for that in all groceries I've gone to but until now, wala ko makita. Huhu. Life, para naman may options kami pag nagha-hike. Mukha kasing may forever na kami sa tuna.

Awww, bye Playa La Caleta!!!! I'll see you again soon. <3

Aside from the more obvious tanline, mukhang okay naman decision na mag beach. :))) lol.

Pauwi na from my last getaway for 2016. <3

Photo ops while waiting for the jeep.

Chill. Ako 'yan.

I have a looooooot of moments that took my breath away but I've also suffered from several heartbreaks last 2016. I won't enumerate them all but one is my Trip to Korea that didn't materialize. HAHAHA. Oh well, papel. I wasn't able to go to that trip but the universe introduced me to my climbmates turned friends (hello kung napadpad kayo rito!) so who am I to be bitter about it, diba? Pinas Muna! There's always a next time for South Korea. Push ko 'to! Claim pa rin.

Anyway,  one itinerary on my supposed to be trip to Korea is to go to a field of LED roses. I got kilig when I found out that Nuvali did this display for the Christmas season last year.

Remember how I'd always go to Ayala Triangle, COD in Greenhills and Trinoma to watch the free Christmas shows? I wasn't able to go to any for 2016. Instead though, we went to Nuvali after Christmas for their Magical Field of Light a.k.a it's so fun sa Ja-fun. 'Cause the pathway where you'll pass through Christmas lights was almost like that of an attraction in Japan.

HAHA. Friends, this is Japan and Korea frustrations in one! Charot. Enough for the backstory of my hearbreaks, here are the pics:

ANYARE STA. ROSA?!

I haven't been going back to the South (Laguna and Tagaytay Area) as much as I did last 2012-2014. Those were the years when it felt like Tagaytay was just as a tumbling away from me because I was there almost every month or two.

Anyway, I was surprised with all the developments that welcomed me within the vicinity of Paseo and Nuvali. Ang bilis!

Here are my Nuvali/Paseo posts for the past few years.

BES ANG ARTE MO BES

The light show that goes on every thirty minutes from 6 PM... haha! I'm to tamad to search the details but it's from 6 PM, guys.

After watching the field of light and blocking the view of those comfortably seated at the bleachers (kontrabida forevs), we went back near the entrance where the other light displays are.

I only wanted a picture with no other people in there but yeah, I must not ask for the impossible. I should just make the most out what I have. DIBA LIFE.

SELFIE GAMING

JAPAN FEELS

THANK YOU, NUVALI. :D

There you go.

Our short but sweet and colorful escape to the Magical Field of Lights in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. If you have time, make sure to visit 'cause the displays will only be there until the 8th of January. 3 days. :D

Flying with Emirates is very comfortable even if you're just in an economy class seat. I would love to fly with them again someday... to Dubai and Europe, perhaps? Since most of the people I flew with, if their destination wasn't the Middle East then it was somewhere in the continent of Europe.

I wasn't able to request for a seat though since all the flights were full but thankfully, I was given an aisle seat. It was still better than to stay in the middle and excuse myself whenever I wanted to go stretching or to the restroom.

Even so, I was really tired since I barely slept that night and I was nearing more than 24 hours of consecutive sunlight and then I had an 8 hour lay over in the airport. I know the feelings are in my Instagram posts 'cause that was where I poured out all the pain and all but I'm over that now so I'd rather not post those here again. haha!

You can find a lot of products for sale in Dubai Airport. Pero diba, life. At least naka apak ng Dubai. Haha! I bought walnuts for my mom and chocolates for my sister. Iba pa rin syempre pasalubong kung from Dubai. hehe

We were given free food vouchers by Emirates. I didn't feel like eating so I chose Costa in hopes that they serve matcha but all they had was the plain tea soooo...

Got used to being alone already. Hahaha! Pero seryoso, one change is that I am now at ease even if I'm alone in an unfamiliar place. Someday, I'll travel alone too. :D

I took this picture but there's an English translation that flashes in the screen too. It took a while before they released the terminal and gate number of our flight. Arrived there past 8 PM and my flight back to the Philippines was 3:40 AM. That much change of timezone but my body didn't feel jet lagged at all.

I had to ride this train to transfer to another terminal while carrying my heavy backpack plus the new souvenirs I bought but I'd love to do that over again. :))

After 8 hours, it's home. <3

I felt kinda weird, really. All I know is that I want to leave the Philippines again.

What a way to welcome me, Manila. haha! It took us six hours to drive from NAIA to Home. Haaaaay. Traffic is getting worse and worse.

Thank you, Las Vegas! You'll always be my home away from home.

Good thing Disney Paradise Pier Hotel has a shuttle to Los Angeles Airport so I rode that. It costs $30 but the driver dropped me off exactly at the gate of Emirates Airlines - No hassles.

HAHA. Imagine that I was feeling down while I was within the compound of the "Happiest Place on Earth"

The last time for that journey that I passed through the Interstate. If I were to rank the places in California by that which I like the most, it's San Francisco - San Diego - Los Angeles. Seriously left big pieces of my heart in Las Vegas and San Fo. <3

I cried.

Does it make sense that I cried?! HAHAHAHA.
As soon as I was walking to enter the airport, tears were falling. As I sat down waiting for the baggage check-in counter to open, I was crying too. HAHAHAHA. K, Tin. Last mo na 'yon.

I got there a little bit early for my flight so I looked around the airport first. Will this be my lucky charm to London?? haha!

I still feel awkward though whenever I take selfies and I'm alone but I'm trying to get used to it. I might get myself a better camera or phone for selfies just because. hehe.

Bye, America!

I lost that bag tag already but it was, indeed, a lucky trip for me.

Ambition...

Emirates' Menu for that flight. It's a fifteen hours flight. Tbh, I need more getting used to with the smell of their food but those I had were all good. The whole flight was very comfortable. No wonder Emirates Airline is the number 1 airline.

I was in the window seat though I practically had no window of my own. The cabin lights were off almost the whole flight anyway and it's sunny outside so no one of those from the window seat left their window open. I'm just glad I had this much legroom and I didn't have to excuse myself whenever I stand or go the restroom.

Got used to the lasinggera lifestyle, I needed to ask the stewardess for some Baileys and some wine so I can sleep on the flight. hahaha. Of course, same as my flight LAX, Lloydie was there with me.

Also, there's wifi onboard for this flight so that made it more enjoyable. I mean, I was tweeting, talking to friends, and posting things on Instagram while up in the air. I even told someone that I was already in Russia. Hahaha! They thought that it was a stop-over in Russia when the reality was I sent that message while flying over Russia.

I was there looking at that view for a lot of times too. hehe! I'll miss you, Bellagio. You were the first hotel I visited in Las Vegas after all.

I didn't log the transportation expenses of this hike especially because I didn't expect that it will take me this long before I'm finally able to blog about my first Twin Peak Day Hike which are Mt. Pamitinan and Mt. Hapunang-Banoi. Nalimutan ko na tuloy pero definitely less than 500 PHP. (We're from Tandang Sora)

This could be a triple peak day hike if you can include Mt. Binacayan or a pentalogy hike with Mt. Sipit-Ulang and Mt. Ayaas. I don't have the confidence (yet!) to join a pentalogy any time soon though I've climbed all five already on different days. (Mt. Binacayan and Mt. Ayaas Twin Peak Dayhike will be posted sometime in the future!)

I also don't have the number of our guide but his name is Jeric. Maybe you can just look for him there.

And as usual, I'm too stressed out to take pictures of the trail.

Buti pa this dog. Sleeping lang.

I don't really get why I'm choosing a day long hike over sleep, over food trip and over updating this blog. Chos! It took me several months before finding my hiking buddies. All thanks to my fellow Team Aldous Blogger, Issa! <3

One of the picture spots in Mt. Hapunang Banoi. haha! We were to tired to continue the trail so we rested for a while and found a big rock where we took pictures with.

Hikes and Selfies. <3

First peak for that day.

The trails of both Hapunang - Banoi and Pamitinan had big limestone rocks with sharp edges that's why both mountains are challenging. I wouldn't dare hike without hand gloves.

We went back to the junction where we took our lunch. I bought myself a Chicken Mcdo but hiking lunch is much better with a canned tuna, HAHAHAHA.

After resting for a bit, we continued hiking to Mt. Pamitinan.

The trail was also challenging. The rocks were not as sharp as those in Hapunang Banoi but the trail felt much steeper. As in, everytime na titingin ako sa trail na pataas, napapabugtong-hininga na lang ako. Ano 'to, bes? Walang hanggan? Buti pa 'to walang hanggan. Chos!

There's this picture spot before reaching the peak and we had to wait there for an hour just so we can have our own "kodak moment."

While waiting, we overheard a group of firstimers and one said, "Sa susunod, mag Enchanted Kingdom na lang tayo." HAHAHA! Nako, ate! 'Yan din sinasabi ko lagi pero lagi pa rin akong napapadpad sa bundok.

This is the rock where almost all "buwis-buhay" pictures in Mt. Pamitinan are taken.

We then proceeded to the summit and in there was the group who took forever while taking pictures with the rock earlier so we decided to skip taking pictures in the summit 'cause we wanted to go back to Q.C by 4 PM.

That is Mt. Binacayan. HAHAHAHAHA.

"Sa susunod dun naman tayo..."

"Sige."

Isa rin ako eh. >.<
