Cinema One Screening pa 'to ng That Thing Called Tadhana (November), at ngayong ilang araw na lang e ipapalabas na ulit 'yun sa theater, na-post ko 'to.

Sabi sa movie, "There all kinds of love in this world but never the same love twice." diba? Never the same food twice. HAHAHA. Yan. Jubis. :))

I've tried a lot of Katsu specialty restaurants and what sets Katsu Sora apart from the rest is their buffet-style refills.
You have a lot of  vegetable and salad choices.
Different variants of fruits too.
And dressings.
This was my salad bowl... obviously.
I don't know if it's because I chose the least expensive pork variant but this Sakura Pork isn't that tender and flavorful.
I don't know what these toppings are called but they add flavor to the rice... obviously.
Although the meat fell short on my expectations (mas sosyal na pork variant na lang kung makabalik ako), I really liked Katsu Sora's set-up with all the options placed in a buffet table for customers to get. Hahahaha.

Is a long introduction needed for Crazy Katsu? For most, I don't think so.

But for my mother who didn't know that it is one of the restaurants in Maginhawa, I still needed to explain when I brought them there... :)

"Ano? Crazy Katsu?"
"Oo nga. Sa Maginhawa."
"Crazy talaga?"
"Oo."

With generous serving and affordable price, this is one of the Katsu restaurants you must try when craving for Tonkatsu yet not prepared to pay  Php 400+ and/or eat unli rice/cabbage. No. Actually, there's no need to compare it to pricier Katsu restaurant because... because. :))))) Laking tulong ko talaga kahit kelan e, noh? Huhu. Sorry na kasi last year pa 'to lahat.

But they really have good food there and although I don't have a picture of it, I like their chicken katsu (chicken katsu nga ba?) better than this.

'Yung hirap, 'yung walang direksyon, 'yung walang magawa.

"9. MAKE IT A HABIT TO 'ASK THE LORD'.

“Dear young people,” he says, “some of you may not yet know what you will do with your lives. Ask the Lord, and he will show you the way. The young Samuel kept hearing the voice of the Lord who was calling him, but he did not understand or know what to say, yet with the help of the priest Eli, in the end he answered: 'Speak, Lord, for I am listening' (cf. 1 Sam 3:1-10). You too can ask the Lord: What do you want me to do? What path am I to follow?”"

Thank you, Pope Francis for your visit but the real battle is not outside but inside us. It's our old selves that we must conquer. It's ourselves that we must change.

After posting how much you cried when you saw the pope, what do you plan to do next? What are you doing now?

I was thinking of composing this saying how blessed I feel but right now? I feel nothing but pain and shame. I'm in pain because I feel that I need to do something yet I don't know where to start and shame because the pope's visit magnified the innumerable problems our country has. :(

Alam mo 'yun, pagkatapos niya magsalita, pagkatapos natin maiyak at sabihing na-inspire tayo... ano? :((

Maginhawa street here in Quezon City is  filled with restaurants of different concepts, most of them affordable if not cheap.

I found myself frequenting the area last December which explains why until now, I am still posting backlogs.
Cakes here at the Baker's Table are inspired by the candies of our childhood.
It was actually my brother's idea to try eating here because of his favorite haw haw candy. He was so curious as to how the candy was made into a cake.
I found the hawhaw cake okay but I liked this more.

Butterball Caramel Cake

Butterball and Hawhaw almost tasted the same just that, I think the cream and butterball taste complemented each other better. Mas bagay sila, ganyan.
Milo Mousse which was too rich for my liking.
We went there before Christmas that is why we were given a free slice of their Puto Bumbong cake to try. HAHAHAHA. Alam mo 'yung more than one month na pala 'to delayed.
GRABE TALAGA. HAHAHAHA.

SOBRANG WALA NA KO MASABI, GUYTH. I am sorry that this is of no help. :)))

Pero 'yun nga.

Cake? Try Baker's Table.

There are lots of restaurants in Maginhawa so it's normal for people to have their 1st round, 2nd round, nth round when eating in the area.
First stop was Katsu Cafe.
I don't remember the exact taste of this meal but I also don't remember liking this a lot.

What I remember is how hard it was to catch the waitress' attention when there are only two tables that were occupied. Mej madaldal si Ate at si someone from the kitchen.
A Taste of Heaven Milkshakes

I didn't like the taste of the milkshake because it was too sweet for my liking.
But strangely, I liked this even though the ice cream they used for this and for the milkshake was the same.
I know that the name doesn't mean stupid but it really catches attention.  Haha!
I liked their brick oven pepperoni pizza even more after adding salt and pepper because I found it bland at first.

I've actually gone there thrice already so I've also tried Bobo's Special and Quattro Formaggi both of which I liked more than the Pepperoni Variant.

HAHAHAHA. :)))

Try these too when you go on a Maginhawa Food Trip.
