PAK!

Europe? Soon?? :))

This place where the last part of the "Juan Luna" movie is filmed. We were able to go inside the house as a part of the guided heritage walk.

There are two time slots for the guided tour; there's a morning and an afternoon schedule. I forgot the exact time but the info desk would inform you of everything you would need to know upon checking in anyway.

Use the guided tour to learn more about Las Casas and just go back for picture taking later on 'cause a lot of people are doing the heritage walk with you so it's kinda crowded. Haha.

Meron ba talaga tayong ganito dati? Kinda like the ones in San Francisco.

Some are still in use. I don't know if there's a fee or if you just follow a schedule but I'm pretty sure it goes around the resort.

We weren't able to enter this building that looks like a church since construction is still on going.. pero baka church nga kasi talaga.

If Japan has Huis Ten Bosch and Korea has Petite France, we have Las Casas. This place kinda looks like Europe (tho sa pictures ko pa lang nakikita) but still very Filipino.

The houses at the background are the houses/accommodation you get if you decide to stay the night.

Instagrammable? Big YES!

You don't have a lot of choices when dining inside Las Casas. This was one of the restaurants - I forgot the name but they serve Italian cuisine. I liked the interior - it's very classy and comfortable.

The next morning, we walked around again.

We went here in June so the weather wasn't that nice. The waves in Bataan were huge so swimming in the ocean was prohibited.
Also, the body of water with two big rocks is their pool. I don't know lang if it's not maintained that time o ganyan talaga itsura. HAHA!

They said that this entire maybe considered a museum but in some buildings, you can see a real museums actually which will allow you to learn more about our history. One of that is the Death March that happened in Bataan.

I am so looking forward to the rehabilitation of the different historic sites in Manila especially Binondo and Intramuros area, can't wait to revisit the Walled City. I still frequent Binondo these days although I miss walking around 'cause we just eat and leave.

Tutuban and Binondo

THIS IS WHY WE NEED MORE TREES!!

Venice Feels? If only the water wasn't this murky and without the garbage floating around.

HAHAHA.

'Yan 'yung hotel sa background. I think it's better to stay there than the houses. Hindi creepy. But if you're into that kind of adventure then rent a house for the night.

Cars are not allowed inside. There's a designated parking space and then from there, a jeepney would take you here to the registration area. By the way, the tamarind juice was delicious.

Overall, I enjoyed walking around Las Casas. I think going there for a day tour is a good idea especially for people who are paranoid like me. Hirap matulog, besh!!! Pero 'yun nga, just opt for their hotel if you really want to stay the night. :)))

I've always wanted to visit Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bataan so when we found a time to go there, we immediately booked an overnight stay.

Cars are not allowed inside the compound so a jeepney (from Las Casas) should take you to your "house" or "hotel room"

As for the houses, you are assigned one of the several heritage houses for your room. HAHAHA!

This is the door for our room that night. This house is divided into two rooms and we got the one on the left side, no one was staying at the other room.

Truth be told, we were scared. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!

If you decide to stay in Las Casas, I will suggest that you just get a room from their hotel. Four of us stayed the night and this room is just so big and so old. You know, the stay transported us back to the 18th century.

Huge bathroom

TOO MUCH SPACE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. HAHAHA!
I didn't use the bath tub even if there were two of them in ours 'cause it felt like someone will drown me I stay too long. HAHAHAHA! Praning much.

The view from the house is great but if feels like a scene taken out of a horror movie especially with the rocking chair.

Two king sized beds.

Don't get me wrong, the house was beautiful and it was preserved well. It's like having a glimpse of our colorful past but then staying inside the house was unsettling for us 'cause you know, we're not brave. HAHAHA. Nakakapraning. :))

I know it's just us being paranoid but we just couldn't help it. HAHAHA!! I know a lot of people seek this kind of thrill but it's definitely not my style. I was able to enter one of their hotel rooms by the way and I'd take that instead of this huge house anytime. :))

Pero sobrang amazing nung labas. I liked walking around the entire area looking at all the ground houses. It's like not being in the Philippines nga eh, definitely a must-visit! I'll save the photos of that for another post. <3

Wasn't able to take photos of the entire buffet area so below is just a sneek peak of what you'd expect. There were a lot of food even if this stay was on a weekday.

There were a lot of people in the dining hall that morning; around 200-300. Just that we walked there a bit late so we sat the tables farthest to the buffet area.

Grabe, it has been five years since our EDSA Shangri-la Staycation? Napakabilis naman ng araw!!

EDSA Shangri-la link: here.

I'm only showing the room, pool area, and a part of the breakfast buffet spread for this post since there isn't a lot to stay when it comes to staycation...

Well, some days all we need is to get away even for a day to refresh and recharge, diba?

I think staycations will always be my kind of activity because of bath tubs.

High-rise and residential area of Makati.

Ayala Triangle Area

Medyo nakakatuwa lang 'yung feeling na kahit sobrang traffic e di ka maga-alala sa tagal ng byahe sa QC kasi nga for a day, e taga-Makati ako. HAHAHA.

What else is there to do in a hotel aside from taking photos? Whenever I go outside the country, I don't prioritize getting myself a high-end hotel 'cause I'm rarely in the room anyway but when it comes to Staycations here in the Manila. I really try to get and book room from the better ones.

Skyline and city lights of Makati, actually of MM, are always interesting to look at.

Night swimming para gutom for breakfast. HAHA!

I didn't take a lot of photos from the buffet area 'cause I was focusing on getting my food. lol. But overall, the buffet spread is wide enough. I'm pretty sure you'll find something you'd like.

3D2N Hotel Staycation would be nicer! :)))
