but a beginning of something more worthwhile, amazing, and new.

Olympic Park, South Korea
link: here.

Now that I am posting here again, I have nothing to say anymore. HAHAHA!!!

Actually, I've been sick the past four days and so I was able to pause and think about all the backlogs I've been accumulating since 2017. Oh well, they'd find their way somehow. Don't know lang if the pictures and stories will still be relevant by then.

Japan has always felt expensive to me but this year (2019), I decided to take the plunge and book tickets to Fukuoka mainly because of Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo. Europe feels!!

Huis Ten Bosch (Day)
Huis Ten Bosch (Night)

I hope that during the next decade, I'll be able to tour around Europe, Oceania and South America as well. Or kahit 'yung decades after next. So far kasi, hindi pa naman ako nagsasawa. Although yeah, priorities will eventually change especially now that I should be worrying about my "own family" life and financial stability hahaha pero habang wala pa kong partner then I'll go as far as I can pa rin. Darating din siya. Sobrang traffic na kasi. :)))

This is a cliff diving spot in Colorado River in Arizona but I chickened out when I was standing there already. This will forever be in my memory 'cause I'm kinda regretting not jumping now especially since I don't know when I'd be able to go back to the USA much more this place. Hahaha! Kaya yan, Tintin, some opportunities knock only once so make sure to grab them.

This was my apartment complex in Las Vegas, Nevada when I stayed there for three months in 2016. I had the chance to go back here even for only around 2 hours. Grateful for my friend for driving me around the entire day! <3

I was able to go back to Las Vegas and Busan this year - I don't know how but I did anyway. I'm still enjoying all these travelling but adult (financial) obligations are creeping in. hahahaha. Minsan naiisip ko nga pano kung inipon ko na lang, 'noh but then I won't have these memories that I am holding onto. haaay! Kapag finite ang resources talaga. Daming opportunity costs. :))) Lol. Pero 'yun nga, sana for the next decade mas maging maayos ako mag handle ng pera.

Over the years, I've become so good at goodbyes and so comfortable at being alone. I wish I had known earlier that though... :)) But here's a fresh start, a clean slate of a new decade awaiting us all. Haaaay!! adulting.

Life's been very generous to me 'cause of all the travels. I can't pin point it but I know I've changed a lot and it's all because of the travel experiences I've had. Hoping to add more on the list in the coming years especially domestic destinations! Hello, Batanes!!! <3

South Korea - 4
Malaysia - 2
Singapore - 2
USA - 2
Macao - 2
Taiwan - 2
Japan
Thailand
Cambodia
Vietnam
Indonesia
Hong Kong
Dubai

If I'll tell my five year old self that I'll be able to travel this far, I'm pretty sure she'll never believe me. Hello, kamusta naman 'yung maiwan lang ako mag-isa dati e iiyak na ko agad. :))

Hindi ako sure kung bakit sinama ko rito si Seo Joon e hindi ko naman siya jowa. HAHAHA. Wala lang. Gusto ko lang siya ilagay - hoping to see more of him in the coming year though hoping to meet my life partner in the coming year as well... penge na  lang, universe ng Seo Joon ng buhay ko. HAHAHA!

For more dreams turning into reality! <3

Countless of times, I've been told that I am a very bubbly and observant person. Nung una, I found it weird 'cause I'm not a bubbly person - hindi ako bungisngis at lalong hindi ako palatawa. That's how I knew myself eh then overtime appreciation grows, kung kelan ako tumanda doon naging mas mababaw 'yung kaligayahan, mas madaling humanap ng tuwa at saya, mas madaling bumulong sa hangin ng salamat, natural ng lumalabas ang mga salitang Thank you.

There are still bad days but the good days outweigh everything.

Next year would be the end of my three years visa to South Korea and so far, I don't see the need to renew it again immediately. Unless, of course, if there would be important trips. But yeah, this whole thing started in 2009 because of Boys Over Flowers kaya isang dekada na rin ako with Kdramas. lol. I used to be just one of the people dreaming of being able to experience Korea even just once but I've flew there several times and was even able to consider Haeundae, Busan her forever home away from home.

I have been having my hair rebonded the past decade but I've decided to embrace my natural hair with its buhaghag, frizz and all. :)) Check out Curly Girls Philippines in Facebook to find out more about this. I wasn't born with curly hair nor did I think that I was curly prior to joining the group - I joined knowing that I am a wavy who wants to learn to take better care of her hair and then these curl patterns come out once in a while. I've been practicing the method for a month now and me and my hair are still transitioning. Currently on the process of finding out which techniques and products give out the best result but so far so good - especially the change in mindset. Kasi alam ko na eventually this will get better, I couldn't care less of all the bad hair days I am currently experiencing.

To a better and healthier hair! <3

I used to be so conscious of my lips because they're really thick but I've learned to accept them. Hahaha! And to accept na maganda naman ako. Charot!!! :))) I don't know when and how but overtime I became more confident with the way look and I know it shows - even with all the body and color shamers around. Face it. I don't think I'll ever get thinner and that's fine 'cause I'm perfectly happy with the way I look and weigh. The only thing that I'm praying for is that I'd be healthy - spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally, and FINANCIALLY. HAHAHA!

A lot of things have change and will continuously change. I don't know where the next decade(s) will lead be but I hope I'll do well.

I wish you enough hands to hold and lips to kiss so that you learn the meaning of love.

I wish you enough heartbreak, so that you realize the true love you deserve.

I wish you enough loneliness so that you become independent and start loving yourself.

I wish you enough confidence so that you are capable, but not conceited.

I wish you enough love so that you understand the meaning and significance of it, and so that when you’re ready for it, you aren’t scared to fall in.

I wish you enough laughter so that you learn to slow down and appreciate the people and things around you.

I wish you enough disappointment so that you never lose sight of all that you have.

I wish you enough pain so that you learn to stand on your own two feet and to trust God.

I wish you enough toughness to sustain through the hard days, and enough frailty to learn your own limits.

I wish you enough softness to forgive, and enough resilience to begin again.
I wish you enough trials so that you learn who you are and who you will become.

I wish you enough success so that you are proud of the skin you stand in.

I wish you enough loss so that you never take what you have for granted.

I wish you enough gain so that you are both humble and thankful.

I wish you enough stability so that you trust the world around you and the people in it, but enough change so that you are always growing.

I wish you enough love, enough life, enough purpose, enough brokenness, enough wholeness, so that your life is imperfect and beautiful and blessed.

I do not wish you flawlessness or perfection—I wish you a life worth living. A life with ups and downs, trials and triumphs, growth and beginnings and endings and lessons and love.

I wish you enough.

Just enough.

How CBC Chinabank's Interbank Fund Transfer Saves Me TIME and MONEY

If there's a bank application that I am very thankful for these days, that would be Chinabank's app. Why? because I can transfer funds realtime to many different bank accounts here in the Philippines for only P 10.00 per transaction. I hope the fee remains the same in the future because it's such a huge time and money saver, really. I have been using the feature for several months now and I have not experienced any malfunction or anything negative so far.

A year ago, a Chinabank branch opened near our house. It's less than 10 minutes, even 5 minutes walk from me and there isn't usually a long line unlike BDO and BPI. The three main reasons why I prefer banking there are these - hindi kailangan magbayad ng pamasahe, iwas sa traffic at wala masyadong pila. Although yeah, I don't maintain a "savings" account with them kasi naging revolving fund/daanan na lang 'yung account but still, it has made my "banking" life a lot easier. lol. Initially 'yun 'yung goal, mag-ipon kaso hindi ganun ang nangyari obviously. :)) pero malay naman natin...

I have an ATM account with them (only P 2,000 maintaining balance) and whenever I need to deposit funds in my other bank accounts or in other people's bank account, I deposit the money in my ATM account with Chinabank and use my app to transfer the fund.

The only thing I have to do is add the recipient's account in my app and there's an OTP for every fund transfer. Sobrang efficient din nung hindi ko na kailangan i-approve/i-activate via ATM 'yung mga account number na gusto kong i-save. I won't go into details on how this works but it has been a savior so far and I don't mind paying P 10.00 for the convenience the feature has been giving me. Though actually, paying P 10.00 is cheaper than riding a jeepney to the nearest bank branch.

I know that BDO, BPI and Psbank also has the same feature but I think their fees are more expensive than Chinabank, nasa P 50.00 and P 25.00 yata. Although malaking tulong din 'yung bank to bank transfer ng BDO (10,000 maximum per day) kasi 'yun walang transaction fee.

PS. At so far, wala pa naman akong phishing mail na natatanggap for Chinabank. Lagi lang kasi talaga atang target ang BDO at BPI account holders. Kaasar e. 'Yun nga pala, ingat sa pagclick ng link sa mga e-mails kasi the e-mails are getting more and more "professional" medyo nakakalito at mahirap na ma-distinguish.

Learn more about Chinabank's app link: here.

-maximum of 50,000 per transaction with no daily limit.

I was only reminded that I haven't posted about the rest of my Ho Chi Minh trip when I saw the pre-nuptial photos of Vhong Navarro. Some of which were taken at Mui Ne, Vietnam.

We got so paranoid with the scammers we encountered while on a DIY tour in Cambodia that for Vietnam, we decided to just join group tours in order to minimize the chance of getting scammed again 'cause we were running short on funds that time.

How not to get scammed in Cambodia and Vietnam link: here.

This Cu Chi Tour is a part of Cu Chi Tunnels and Mekong Delta Day Tour. I've compiled a list of Cu Chi Tours you can book from Klook below.

After several travels, I'd like to think that I really got better at blogging and at taking photos. Choosing pictures to post wasn't difficult for the travels I did after this.

The tunnels were developed during their war of Independence during the French occupation but later developed and made more extensive during the Vietnam War.  These tunnels were important in resisting American forces. As you can see above, the attacks during the war were mostly bombs. What the Viet Cong troops did was they went underground through these tunnels - so even in heavily bombed areas, they have what you can consider an underground village.

It may now be considered as a part of the Vietnam War Memorial Parks and one can't fully grasp how difficult the life here was but watching the video before starting the tour was still important just so the tourists will be more informed about the things they're going to see for the rest of the tour.

This is one of the famous tourist photo area in Cu Chi but I didn't try going down there but looking back, I should've done it back then... baka mas hindi na ko kasya ngayon. HAHAHA!

Some examples of the booby trap they used back then.

We were given a short break at this souvenir shop while some decided to do target shooting.

Puro selfie, 'te gurl?

They showed us these sandals that were used back then. The foot trails were reversed in order to confuse the American soldiers.

We were told that we can try entering the tunnels to see and feel how it's like to be there. I entered but also exited at the first exit I saw. It was cramped and definitely not for claustrophobic people.

Our snack was KamoTea :)))

Found this review I posted in Google Maps:

"Very interesting and historical place. We had a good time learning about the warfare of the Vietnamese people back then - can't help but be amazed by their creative minds and by their strength to fight but also felt sad for all the things they had to endure. This place is a must visit when you're in Ho Chi Minh because it's really eye-opening. I was even able to crawl inside one of their tunnels but immediately crawled out at the first exit I saw. Imagine having to spend most of their days at those kind of places when I, personally, had a hard time breathing even if I only stayed for a minute. A lot of travel agencies offer day tours to this place at a very reasonable price. Make sure to bring water with you, wear comfortable clothes and shoes because you'll be walking a lot."

Tzu Chi Philippines

Tzu Chi Foundation was founded by Dharma Master Cheng Yen, a Taiwanese Buddhist nun, who encountered so many challenges at a young age which led her to Buddhist Monasticism with a vow to work for Buddhism and for the good of all living sentients. With over 10 million members worldwide, it is one of the largest humanitarian organizations in the world.

Last November 8, 2019, I was invited to be a part in the 25th anniversary of the Tzu Chi Foundation in the Philippines.

The afternoon was composed of four parts: Taiwanese Street Food Market, Tour of the Eye Center, Tour of the Livelihood Center, and the book launch of Ms. Ayla Honasan's, "A Mission of Love."

Out of the food I had that afternoon, this was the most intriguing one. I expected it to be milk/ milk tea shaved ice but it's taho flavor shaved ice. I want to know where else can I get this. lol

Tzu Chi holds medical missions regularly to give free medical operations and surgeries to patients who have cataracts and other illness that needs surgical assistance.

They don't ask for payment but the facilities and machines are at par with those from the private hospitals.

I am a Roman Catholic but I am also interested in Buddhism which explains all the Temples I've visited and posted about in this blog. I appreciated how they emphasize that the foundation doesn't discriminate other people's beliefs. It encompasses all religion and recipients of the help are not required to convert to Buddhism. Still, I believe that learning more about Buddhism no matter what religion we're practicing is not a bad idea. After all, it serves to provide a proper direction and guidance to life.

We went up to the third floor in time for the releasing of the free eye glasses to these students.

Next was the Livelihood Center.

They offer classes/short courses on Caregiving, Dressmaking/Sewing, Welding; Aircon & Refrigeration Repair. This program helps participants to acquire the needed skill and education so they can become income earners within a short period of time.

We found out that Super Junior will be one of the performers of Busan One Festival a week before our flight but we couldn't purchase tickets online. However, on the day before the event, we saw a post that they'd be selling concerts tickets on site. Despite the lack of sleep and tiredness from all the travels the day before (Manila - Seoul - Jeonju - Seoul - Busan), we woke up early to get to Hwamyeong.

Parang Lee Min Ho memories lang 'to last winter eh. Only fangirls would understand.:))

Hwamyeong Ecological Park

There is no train station near it so we had to ride a bus then walk for around 20 minutes to get to this entrance but it turned out that the park was too big that we needed to walk for another 30 minutes to get to the concert grounds.

Hwamyeong is a lot like Daejeo Ecological Park that I visited last year for pink muhly hunting.. only Hwamyeong from the bus station to the concert grounds wasn't an enjoyable walk 'cause we were rushing and were too stressed to focus on the beauty of the surroundings. lol.

BOOK YOUR ADVENTURE HERE:

East & West Busan Exploration with Busan Skywalks, Gamcheon Culture Village, and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple Day Tour

We got our tickets at around 12 NN. We finally became a lot calmer with tickets on our hand. lol. Like what I've said in the previous post, I don't have a group that I "stan" but I like watching KPOP concerts whenever I am in Korea. And since my friend is an ELF, damay damay na lang. :))

Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan

Photos here are just those I took while we were killing time 'cause we decided to stay in the area the whole afternoon because going out the park is a loooooot of walk.

Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan

It was only this afternoon did we noticed that it was actually fun to walk around the park. HAHA! Sorry for all the complaints that morning, Hwamyeong. :))

These photos were taken around the concert area but there should be a lot more to see since this park is humongous.

Feel na feel ang hair flip 'cause this is the last travel where I'll be sporting a rebonded hair. haha! I am currenly exploring the world of CGM (curly girl method) but that's for another post - hopefully by New Year.

Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan

Bike lanes everywhere for this park.

Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan

Still wasn't able to time the peak of autumn for the year 2019. My Korean visa will only be until January 2021. Let's see if I'll be able to go back and time the perfect view of the autumn foliage.
Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan

This was already near the place where concert goers were linking up and so we queued soon after.

Even the autumn flowers weren't in full bloom yet.

Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Busan BOF

But yea, it's always my pleasure to see you, Busan! <3
