I am glad that we squeezed in time for Gyeongju's Bulguksa Temple when we went to Busan. Posting this because I started watching 2 Days, 1 Night again. In one of their episodes, their game was to promote places in Korea and they chose Incheon and Gyeongju. I've uploaded all my posts about Incheon so I figured that I should post this here too.

Autumn in Korea (Jeonju, Busan, Gyeongju, and Seoul)

You can spend the whole day at the temple but I don't think you'd need an entire day for this especially when there are a lot of interesting places in the whole of Gyeongju. We would've stayed longer and explored more if we had the time. Really. Hehe. But yea, due to time constraints we went straight to this temple.

Bulguksa is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Dhṛtarāṣṭra in the gate of Bulguksa temple

If you ride the bus from Singyeongju Station, it's a long uphill walk to get to the temple but there are a lot of sights and things to see so we took our time.

We went here without research aside from the bus number that we're going to ride so we didn't know what to expect.

Bulguksa when translated to English means, "Temple of the Buddha Land" and it has three halls inside.

This was near the exit.
We went the wrong way so we saw these rocks first.

Kingdom of Silla Architecture - The Golden Age of Buddhist Art in Korea

The temple area is well-preserved despite being centuries old and was once burnt to the ground.

Didn't notice immediately that everyone was going up and we were heading down. lol. HAHA. We did the tour in reverse.

More lanterns.

When people make donations, monks place their names on a merit certificate which is then hung with these lanterns.

We actually went the wrong way there.

We entered the temple thru the exit area but we only realized that when we arrived at this part. We went around again to see the other parts of the temple and good thing we did 'cause we have missed a lot. Kaya pala nagtataka kami na bakit parang ang liit lang nung lugar, mali pala kasi kami ng napuntahan. HAHA!

This is what happens when you're not paying attention to the signages when you're in a new place.

Before entering, you're supposed to wash/cleanse yourself first.

The area outside the temple is huge and beautiful especially during Spring and Autumn because of the trees. It wasn't full on Autumn that day so we didn't have a lot of orange and red color foliage but the bright yellow did the thing. It's still very fall, right?

Never thought that there will come a time when I'd say this but I miss being in a crowd. I noticed that unlike the episodes of 2D1N before, there aren't a lot of people when they go around these days. I rarely go to crowded places whenever I'm in South Korea pero nakakamiss din pala. Haha!

Those closer staircase is the National Treasure No. 22 called Yeonhwagyo nad Chilbogyo and the farther one with an arch is National Treasure No 23 called Cheongungyo and Baegungyo. Buddhists believe that people who have achieved "Nirvana" can go up and down those staircases.

National Treasure No 23

This is one of the famous photo spot in Bulguksa. We had no idea that the staircases were of great importance in Bulguksa but we took photos with it anyway since a lot of people were doing so.

Bulguksa Bell Tower

Very autumn naman pala 'yung chosen colors ko nito. HAHAHA! Hay nako.

I've forgotten that this is how I always looked like in selfies before the pandemic. Konting jeje lang with red lipstick. Konti lang. HAHAHA!

Anapji Pond is also a famous spot in Gyeongju but we didn't have enough to go there so we just walked around this Banya Yeonji Pond which is also a part of the Bulguksa temple grounds. Banya Yeonji means Pond of Wisdom. Mas madami na po ba kong wisdom, Buddha ngayong nakaikot na ako dyan? 😂

I wanted to lessen the photos but I just can't choose which ones to delete. I guess it's more difficult to find places/photos in Bulguksa that is not beautiful. I would definitely spend a longer time if I ever find myself back in Gyeongju one of these days, months, year...s?

I've been binge-watching Brooklyn99 in Netflix and there was a scene where they drove to Coney Island for hot dogs. Watching that was the reason why I'm posting this here. I've had this in my draft for several months so I wanna congratulate none other than Me, Myself, and I for finally forcing Me, Myself, and I to finish composing this post. 🤪

For our first day in New York, our number one itinerary was to try Nathan's Hot dog in Coney Island. GUSTO MO 'YON?

Here's the scene from the series.

The first time I heard this song was via Instagram music when I uploaded an Instagram story. Lakas maka-third world country nito eh, 'yung Instagram music is not available in our region. 😆

Our USA Trip was during Spring but it was still way tooooooo cold. If I had a down jacket with me back then, I would have worn it especially here in Coney Island because the beach made the air freezing.

Spring Trips: Sakura and Flower Fields (Japan and USA)

These are the tables for those dining in. I don't know where they hold the hot dog eating contest but that's an annual event hosted by Nathan's.

My other instagram account, xtintina.cooks, has finished its New Yorker hotdog phase several weeks ago. I discovered a domestically-manufactured hotdog that tastes almost exactly like Nathan's. The phase has resurfaced since I watched that scene, buti na lang lagi ng may supply non sa grocery malapit dito sa bahay. 🌭

Coney Island is one of the neighborhoods in NYC which nickname is "Playground of the World."

This is the boardwalk.

We didn't walk around far at this area. Allotted just enough time to feel the breeze of the Atlantic Ocean in NYC.

There's also a Nathan's store here. Would've been nice to do picnic in this area. Someday, universe?? lol

This is a public beach and I will definitely walk all the way to the shore if I was alone. Beach trip on a winter day is my thing. HAHAHA!

Gangneung, South Korea: Anmok Beach and Coffee Street

I posted this in my Instagram story before asking who this was, until now hindi ko pa rin alam. Any leads? Curious lang ako.

This place is kinda like California's Santa Monica Pier. Less people on my day of visit which makes sense since I visited Santa Monica when it was almost summer.

I wouldn't think that this photo is taken in NYC if this is shown to me.

The park wasn't operating when we went there so we just walked around it. Saya, noh? Daming intense.

After this, we drove back to Brooklyn and Manhattan.

USA: DUMBO Area (Brooklyn) and Little Italy (Lower Manhattan), New York City

If I had seen episodes of Brooklyn99 before going to New York, I would've bought an NYPD jacket for myself. HAHAHA. KAKAINIS! I bought an NYC jacket pero ang lakas kasi maka-fangirl ng may NYPD. HAAAAAY. Na-late ng two years ang pagiging fangirl ko. 😂😂😂

I noticed that my previous post for Boljoon Church in Cebu have been in this blog's Top Searches for the past couple weeks so I'm posting these photos here too. I have no idea why a lot of people are searching about the church these days but it's all thanks to them did I realize that I haven't posted most of out-of-town trips here yet.

Cebu 2015: Boljoon Church

Purchase your travel essentials here

I don't know either why I didn't put details in my other post. HAHA! That time, we only passed by the church and probably stayed for even less than 30 minutes. Huhuhu. Hindi ko na maalala. Baka wala rin kasi akong nalaman at tinamad ako mag search. 😆

For this post, we spent a long time in the vicinity of Boljoon Church 'cause we waited for sunset at the baywalk/park in front of the church. Wala pa ring historical details pero mas maraming photos. Pwede na! 😅

This church was built in 1690's and currently the only church in Cebu that's listed as a National Cultural Treasure.

Walking distance from the church is this Cuartel. This structure was never finished but is evidently well-preserved.

Ang hirap na magtanong ng, "Where to Next?"
😆😆😆

banyo, kwarto, kusina, sala ganern. HAHA

Jumpshot yern?

Huwag ako ang tanungin mo.
Hindi ko rin alam.
Nag lakad-lakad lang ako doon.

This area is along Bohol Strait.

Waited for the sunset in this place. One of the many things that are missed. 💖 Quiet afternoon by a body of water while feeling the breeze and listening to the waves.

Although, yeah, I've had the chance to walk for a short time along the Baywalk of Manila Bay last month. Pwede na rin. hehehe!

I'm seriously missing life "out there."

I miss travelling but I won't deny that I'm getting used to the life in social distancing/ quarantine although it can get too boring some days. But nakakaalis naman hehe not as frequent as before. Hello. Itong trip na 'to was magkasunod na month akong Bohol (January), Bohol-Cebu (February). Kakaloka. Di ko na nga rin alam paano ko nagagawa 'yon dati.

You know what I realized, my life was the uncomfortable "out there." AHAHAHA.

That's why I felt lost when COVID pandemic/ECQ started last year is because I was a stranger when I was forced to stay here. HAHAHA.

Again, this post doesn't have a lot of useful information either but at least, the photos are more updated than the first post, diba? 😆

By the way, it's nice to wait for the sunset in this area 'cause nearby are turo-turo/BBQ places where you can eat your dinner. I remember doing "streetfood" tour that night. Ang sarap ng longganisa Cebu, ng isaw, ng chicharong bulaklak, at ng isol. 🤤🤤🤤

PS. This was one of places shown in the movie, "Patay na si Hesus."

Dahil dyan, sabay-sabay tayong ma-LSS.

HAHAHA

Whenever posts from way way way back ends up as one of the week's Top Searches in this blog, I can't help it but click on the link just so I'd remember 'cause more often that not, I don't recall most of what I wrote here especially those stuff I posted when my emotions were at their highs and/or lows. 😆

Looking at the photos travel photos was fun. It brought back memories of our easier and simpler days.

Grateful to have experienced all of those in this lifetime. hehehe!

Curls by Zenutrients Leave-in Conditioner Review
CGM Update with products currently on rotation.

Almost six months since I posted about the products I use, I'm posting this. Hehe. These are mostly from my 12.12 sale purchases.

PURCHASE YOURS HERE:

Zenutrients Leave-In

This photo is taken in Luljetta Hanging Gardens, Antipolo.

[Klook Link] Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa Day Pass

These days, I no longer pay that much attention to good and bad hair days. 😅 I have a routine that works for me and every wash day is a surprise anyway. Parang naging wash and wear na ulit buhok ko. Buti naman! 😍 I've heard enough people who told me that my hair looks good as an assurance that it's improving. Pwede na 'yan. 😂 All thanks to my bb 'cause I spent my rebond money on him which is the reason why I stumbled upon CGM. HAHAHA!

NOTE: Some of the terms below will be unfamiliar to those who are not practicing CGM. 😁

HHN Vanilla Conditioner - Will Repurchase

This is still what I apply as leave-in when I'm staying at home. I love the smell (kinda sweet but not too vanilla-ey) and it's cheaper.

Curls by Zenutrients Leave-in Conditioner - Will Repurchase

I've always hoped for a leave-in conditioner and I'm so happy when Zenutrients launched this last year. 😍

This smells fresh and clean which I like a lot. It doesn't feel heavy in the hair and it forms a slight cast when applied so it's perfect to use when going out. I no longer think about what my hair looks like especially when it's windy outside.

I haven't tried using gel as a styler since CGM so I never had an experience of "scrunching the crunch" but this is the closest that I can get to that.

Zenutrients is thicker than HHN but I don't dilute it with water unlike the latter.

Some ladies in the group rinse only a percent of their S2C conditioner and some don't rinse at all. I don't like doing that 'cause it feels sticky especially in the humid weather we have here in PH. I rinse all the conditioner after S2C then I apply leave-in after wet plopping.

LOW POO - Zenutrients Gugo Shampoo - Might Repurchase

I've only used this thrice as of writing 'cause I'm emptying my other low poo, HHN Mandarin. I still prefer the latter because using the Mandarin variant in the shower is invigorating/aromatherapy to me. Repurchase of this will depend whether or not my hairfall lessens as I empty the container and if the smell grows on me since I'm still leaning to HHN for my low poo.

CO-WASH - Zenutrients Gugo Conditioner - Will Repurchase

I haven't noticed the lesser hairfall nor the strengthening of my hair strands yet. This smells minty. It's watery so perfect for co-wash. My scalp doesn't itch when using this and I feel a mild cooling sensation so I know it's there. 😂 The co-wash that I've been using before is Johnson and Johnson's Shiny Drops Conditioner. I will repurchase this because 1 liter size when on sale is sold for around 680 (?) so this will be cheaper than JJ. Though, of course, I'm hoping that it will stay true to its claim that I'll have lesser hairfall.

CO-WASH - Zenutrients Coco Honey Conditioner - Might Repurchase

I LOVE THE SCENT. I like this more than gugo, tbh. If they sell this in a 1 Liter container then I'd definitely get this for my Co-Wash instead of gugo even if that promises stronger hair. This is thicker so I dilute this with water when I use it. It also has a minty/cooling sensation when applied in the scalp.

S2C - Suave Cherry Blossom Conditioner - Will Repurchase (forever 😂)

Suave Tropical Conditioner - Might Repurchase

I have nothing to say about these Suave conditioners aside from they are my CGM holy grails, my must-haves, my forever. Haha. I only purchase those protein-free variants and I usually have two kinds with me. Cherry Blossom has and will always be a staple and the other one is whatever scent is available in the store during my restock. 😂

As I've said above, hair during wash day is always a surprise. ❤️ Will never look back to salon hair treatments. Hehehe.

 Zenutrients Leave-In Conditioner:

My hair when wet.

Will blog about this no-sleep hike one of these days. Hahahahaha. Kakamiss. Shet.

Curlversary Update ❤️

Zenutrients Leave-In

This was my concern before. Paano kaya buhok ko kapag nag-hiking? Okay naman pala or yeah, it's cause mas maayos na rin 'yung buhok ko these days.  Also, Zenutrients has a slight cast so I believe that helped in making my hair more manageable during the trek.

Fully dried while on a windy mountain top. Naninibago pa rin ako minsan kapag nakikita ko ganyan hair ko. HAHA!

My new roommate loves to sleep on my hair. I use satin hair caps when he sleeps in my room to make myself laway-proof 'cause he plays with my hair and by play I mean bites it. 😢🤦🏻‍♀️ hahaha! It's uncomfortable for me to sleep with a hair cap but I think a lot of CGM ladies wear something like this to protect their curls while sleeping.

Clingy bb. 😍

Gondo naman ng diaper mo. 😂
One of his favorite place on Earth is beside my face. 😂 Kaya kailangan talaga laway proof! Kakaloka! Hahahaha

Maskne has calm down eventually.
I still get some whiteheads and acne these days but not as much as before, even the acne marks are starting to fade. Huhuhu. Buti na lang! I also have new sunscreen and lip balm that I'm using, I might post those here too.
