This field of flowers was our biggest expense and the farthest place we've gone to in Taiwan but it was my favorite day despite the pictures... :))) Ewan ko ba! HAHAHAHA.

[Klook Link] Chung-She Flower Garden Tour in Taichung

We took the HSR (High Speed Rail) from Taipei Main Station to Taichung Station. The train ride lasted an hour for NTD 670 and NTD 700.

EVENTHOUGH,

Houli Station, Fengyuan Station, Tai'ian station should be closer to the flower market.

What we did was;

From Taichung Train station, we hailed a cab that drove us to Houli. Since time constraint was a factor back then, we didn't have the option to choose a transportation that costs less (though I have no idea what that is) than a cab ride because we need to be fast.

Explaining where we wanted to go was difficult because of the language gap and lack of internet connection but the cab driver was patient with us. To be sure and to make it easier for you and the cab driver, do not forget to screen capture the map, the name of the place in both English and Chinese, and even download an offline map. When he finally understood where we wanted to go, he told us that a lot of Filipinos go to that flower market.

While the entrance fee for the flower market was around 200 PHP only, they offer a promo of availing an unlimited bbq which was inclusive of the flower market entrance fee but I forgot the price. Sorry na, besh. December pa kasi 'to tapos hindi ko na mahanap 'yung list pero sigurado akong hindi lalagpas ng 1,000 PHP per person.

PICTURES OF THE BUFFET AND FLOWER MARKET:

And what the cab driver said about the Filipinos that frequent this area was so true!! This was the only place we went to where almost everyone eating were Filipinos. Hello, unlimited chargrilled bbq kaya yan!

We didn't eat a lot during our stay in Taipei but this Taichung meal right here was a different story. Lahat ata ng hindi namin naikain for the past three days, dito namin binawi eh.

After a filling lunch, we proceeded to the flower farm.

Ang lala nung mga pictures. IDK why. Baka dahil busog?! But the place was really beautiful. Nahiya bigla 'yung pictures ko sa Sirao Flower Farm ng Cebu (na hindi ko pala na-blog ahaha)

Ang mahalaga naman e meron kami pics doon, diba? :)))

After around 1 and 1/2 hours of picture taking (I don't think the time we alloted will be enough for other people), we went back to the parking area because uncle cab driver was waiting for us. He was so kind really that he waited until we're finish so he can drive us to our next destination which was the Rainbow Village.

We would've stayed longer in Taichung if we could but it was already our flight out of Taiwan that night and we had to ride the 5 PM HSR train back to Taipei so we were also in a hurry.

This flower farm was our question mark and yet our nonnegotiable must-visit  place so we're glad that we found a way and made it back on time to catch our TPE - MNL flight.

Madali lang naman pala.

If you're travelling in group, maybe you can hire a cab or a tour operator since the tourist attractions in Taichung are far from each other and riding a bus isn't always an option.

If you're doing a DIY then research more on alighting at Houli or Fengyuan station. What we did was alright - if there's one thing that I would've done differently, that was going to Taichung earlier... or maybe not din kasi longer sleep is better?! Basta ayun, if you're doing a DIY then day tour lang make sure you have enough time exploring Taichung. There's still a lot of places to see aside from the flower farm and rainbow village which I'll be blogging about in the coming days.

I'll try to post the rest of my travels with flower fields, parks, and attractions that I haven't uploaded here yet 'cause I want to make another compilation with them just like the cable car rides compilation that I posted a while back. For the meantime, here's my second favorite area in Carlsbad. HAHAHA. My first is the Strawberry Picking field but this is not about that.

Cable Car Rides Compilation *hopefully not the end*

Spring 2019: Sakura and Flower Fields (Japan and USA)

This is an annual Spring attraction in Carlsbad, California and it has been that way since 40 years ago. The field is accessible from March 1st to whenever Mother's Day is so when this gets posted, there will only be two days left for this year's access. Hopefully, we'll all be in better life condition during next year's Spring.

This may serve a guide for a visit here some time in the future.

The Flower Fields Ticket Rates

We frequented buffets serving strawberries and we would always have fresh strawberries bought in Costco when I was in the States so I didn't feel the urge to buy anything here. It's a different scenario here in the Philippines though 'cause anything fresh strawberries is always a dilemma of whether I'm buying or not.

We passed by here when we were driving to San Diego from Los Angeles Airport. Back then, I didn't know that this is a part of our itinerary so I was really excited when I was told that we were going here.

There are information boards such as this throughout the flower field so even if you walk there without a guide, you'll still be able to learn a new thing or two or three? 😜

The largest field of flowers that I've been at to date. There's definitely a lot more to the Flower Fields aside from the rows and rows of Ranunculus. I was probably too excited seeing the flower fields that why I have no pictures of the other parts of the area but there are greenhouses with roses, poinsettias, etc.

I am not really familiar with the names of flowers aside from those that I've frequently seen before, of course. These are ranunculus flowers, it's so amazing how they look so different yet similar, if you can see what I mean.

This place is a vast hill of flowers with several activities and things to do that you can actually allot an entire day if you plan on seeing all the other attractions/exhibits inside. Also, there's a nearby outlet mall called Carlsbad Premium Outlets with several restaurants should you want to look for something to eat and shop afterwards.

Inlove with the visual and the scent of this place.

The flowers on this part of the field weren't in full bloom yet. Another thing worth mentioning is that it overlooks the Carlsbad Beach when you're on top of the hill.

Tractor Wagon Tours

For a fee, you get to ride the tractor either as a tractor tour of the whole area or as a shuttle that will drop you off on top of the flower hill.

Vibrant color of the ranunculus flower field is visible even when driving from the Interstate-5/ San Diego Freeway.

Bye, Flower Fields!
Until the day that I'll see you again in this lifetime. 😂💓

Taiwan: Zhongshe Guan guang Flower Market, Taichung

Since it's Spring in the Northern Hemisphere now, photos of flowers is everywhere in my Instagram's post recommendations. Probably the reason why I was compelled (by myself, kasi naman 😂) to post this before this year's Spring Season ends. HAHAHA! Sabi ko na eh and I should really be thankful for this that considering the frequency of my upload these days, I have enough backlogs that will last me several months even without new travels during this pandemic.

In Spring time, hope blooms even in the most loneliest forgotten meadow.

Praying and hoping that this nightmare ends in the nearest future.

Also in Carlsbad, CA:

Legoland Waterpark
Legoland Miniland USA
Oceanside
Strawberry Picking

Everything, in time. 💖

Lots of photos for this post 'cause I can't choose which ones to remove. For this park the main attraction for me was the Sea of Baby Blue Eyes Flowers - it's located on the flower hill and is only available during Spring season.

First Time in Japan: Northern Kyushu Itinerary, Expenses and Travel Tips (From Hakata in Fukuoka)

We weren't able to go around the entire park; didn't even got the chance to see the Marine World building and the JR train station. HAHAHA!

BOOK YOUR Ultimate Fukuoka Tour from Sunrise to Sunset HERE.

Our chosen mode of transportation going to Uminonakamichi Seaside Park was the ferry from Hakata Port. We wanted to try riding all the mode of transportation available in the area that's why we chose that since we've been riding the train for three days already. Also, we wanted to be nearer Tenjin once we return 'cause our chosen restaurant to eat at was Ichiran Ramen.

Thinking about it now, you should be better off riding the train if you've got no plans of buying bus tickets or renting a bike inside the park.

When we arrived at the Hakata Port, the next schedule of the ferry was leaving an hour and a half after. Waiting consumed a lot of time for this day because it also took us a while before we found the Hakata Port. We thought that it would only be a short walk from the train station but Google map deceived us. :))

There were stores and this fish tank which kind of entertained us during the whole wait. Good thing we saw this there because we weren't able to make it to the Marine World Aquarium. :))

The round trip ferry fare was 880 Yen from Hakata Port to Saitozaki v.v
This is the cheapest option among all the mode of transportation available in going to the park but the most inconvenient too if you're not fond of long walks. :))) For us, it was good enough and would've been a lot better if we didn't get "lost" majority of the time we were in the park.

I forgot to take a photo of the ferry boat but it's not as big as the one in the background.

The ferry ride was around 20 minutes and we stayed at the open area for a better experience. lol. Cruising in Fukuoka feels. HAHA!

Cruise ships, container ships, and ships bound for Busan, South Korea depart from that area. I know that Fukuoka is not too far from Busan but I was surprised to know that Fukuoka is geographically closer to Seoul, South Korea than Tokyo, Japan.

The entrance fee for the park is 450 Yen per adult. I don't know what's with the three numbers on top 'cause that is definitely not the date of our Fukuoka Travel.

You can rent a bicycle and there's also a bus that goes around the area of you don't like walking. We wanted to save on the transportation costs and we didn't have problems with walking and so.....

we walked...
and walked...
and walked.

It took us a lot of walking from the ferry station to get here and that wouldn't be the case if you rode a train since that will drop you off closer to the attractions of the park. Although yeah, it's not everyday you'd get the chance to walk in this area so it's still not bad.

There were lots of flowers blooming by the entrance but it was only the beginning of Spring that time which is why other places/ gardens that were supposed to be blooming and filled with flowers were still bare.

There were several of this miniature garden lined in this area.

We were following a map but it very easy to get lost. We didn't care much 'cause it was fun to just look around and feel the breeze but then, it felt like we weren't going too far even after all the walking.

Photo above is taken on one of the gardens. It was beautiful with all the red bricks and flowers but we've already visited Huis Ten Bosch before coming here so the amount of flowers that time was a bit underwhelming. If you've got no budget nor time for Huis Ten, this is good option for all the flower viewing though.

It's us who've arrived a bit early for Spring. :))

This place is really beautiful and well-maintained though. Make sure to bring your snacks/lunch and water because I didn't see any store in the places we went to.

Favorite part of the whole park was this flower hill filled with Baby Blue Eyes!!!! <3

While searching about Uminonakamichi Seaside Park, this was the place that constantly came up in the search and we were really looking forward to this. There's actually another placed called Nokonoshima Island Park but going there was more expensive than Uminonakamichi so we chose this. Good choice!!!!!! This flower field made up for all the walking and waiting!

We may be a little bit early for Spring but Fukuoka has been generous with us 'cause there were a lot of "early bloomers' such as these flowers and the Sakura trees.

We continued walking and we found a zoo. The entrance fee was free so we checked it out. Unlike the usual zoos, most of the animals here weren't caged but fenced.

Another flower field inside the zoo.

We looked for the ocean but it felt like we were only walking around at the same place the entire time. HAHA! If you like destinations like this, it'd be better if you have the entire day to go around the whole area and make sure to rent a bicycle if you're staying for a day.

Found it and it felt isolated. The sea breeze was too cold that time that we only stayed here for a short time.

Genkai Sea Overlook

The land across would've been Busan.

At this point, we were starting to feel jealous of those who rented bikes. :))

We haven't seen a blooming sakura tree yet that time so we were kinda accepting the fact that there is no cherry blossom sighting on our first Spring travel to Japan.

Going back to the train station, we passed on a different road and we saw this playground and the swimming pools area.

Before leaving the ferry station, we checked the schedule and so we only went back at around 30 minutes before the ferry departure. We had more picture taking at this area 'cause you can never have too many pictures, right?

<3

If only we're able to beautifully grow this much flowers in our parks, it would've been nice to walk around too.

This is the end of our Uminonakamichi Seaside Park Sightseeing.

We barely covered the entirety of the park 'cause it was too huge to be covered by foot and we were getting hungry as well. Okay na with the flowers especially the baby blue eyes field!!! <3
