Katipunan has a lot of restaurants and fastfood joints so the place is always worth visiting. Syempre, with hopes that the traffic is not that heavy but it's very rare that it is not these days. I don't know what has happened but it seems that the traffic situation in the Philippines has worsen. Tsk.

Pagkain na lang pampa-good vibes.

I think my order was mixberry banana. I don't know what happened to me too but it seems like I'm more inclined to order a strawberry flavored everything these days. I'd usually go for matcha or chocolate but stores offering matcha is rare so it's usually chocolate but these days even if chocolate is an option, I'd still order strawberry. Baguio pls. Hahahaha.

Their milkshake is good and priced less than a hundred pesos.
The fastfood beside Starr's milkshake is Chubby Chicken

It's not the usual double fried/soy garlic chicken because of the garlic sauce. I'm a "dip/sauce-person" if that kind of person exists, gusto ko madalas 'yung may sinasawsawan ehh so the sauce was a plus for me. The serving is huge though I forgot how much the price was but it's less than P 150.00 for two big pieces of chicken. Pwede na!
Chubby Oreos

With chubby oreos, oh nothing can go wrong when you combine fried oreos with ice cream.

Our Third day a.k.a Ikot-ikot Singapore / Why you rainin' Singapore

I'll divide this day into three posts because I have a lot of pictures from Universal Studios and if I make this like our first and second day, this will be so lengthy (to think na ang haba na nga ng day 1 and day 2.) and so picture-packed.

Our third day started out okay although we were late again.

Before going to sleep, "We're waking up at 5 AM, right? So we can leave home at 6 AM and start touring before sunrise?" Sunrise in Singapore is around 7:15 in the morning and leaving home at 6 AM was the best time so we can arrive at Marina bay before twilight. When we were on our way to Golden Mile Complex, we passed by the area at ang ganda niya tignan sa gabi, e baka wala na kaming time go there at night 'cause our bus was set to leave Singapore at 10:00 PM, May 27.

Enough for overestimating ourselves, we woke up at 7. HAHAHA! Sabihin na natin na understandable kasi 'yun palang 'yung matinong tulog namin since our adventure started. Kalurks.
When were in Ang Mo Kio, it was the best weather to go around. It was a bit sunny, windy and cloudy. Ano pa 'di ba? Not too hot and not too cold.

Ang Mo Kio (NS 16) we rode the red line to Marina Bay (NS 27).
I belong. <3

For some reasons, I developed this desire to stay longer there. Or maybe someday, I get to experience working/studying there even for a month or a year. I don't know what's going to happen but syempre, let's hope for the best. Basta, gusto kong bumalik sa Singapore. :))
Marina Bay Sands selfie turned out to be Marina Bay I'm so Sad selfie... Marina Bay MRT Station is an underground station so we had no idea that it was already raining hard outside. GRABE!!!! How can it rain that hard when the weather was so nice about an hour ago? Oh wells papels, ganyan siguro talaga. :)))
Late na nga kami. Nausog pa lalo because of the rain.
Oh Marina Bay, you're so close yet so far.

After waiting for 30 minutes, (hindi pa rin tumitila ang ulan!!) we decided that we' were wasting our time so we travelled to Vivo City and just pass by Marina Bay again before heading home.

I've never felt so lost, SG. NEVERRRRRRRRRR. Sa'yo lang talaga. :)))))
'Yung pakiramdam na alam mo sa sarili mong you're okay with directions, you understand maps well, you're good at remembering places pero kahit na alam mong tama ka, may bubulong pa rin sa'yong baka mali ka. No room for mistakes.

Jokeeee. :)

Life, I don't mind being lost again. :))))) Isa pa pls? hahaha.
Another factor that added to our whutdapak moment was when all the other passengers alighted at this station, I forgot the name. OMG, anmeron?!
Anyway, from Marina Bay (NS27) we rode until Dhoby Ghaut (NS24) transferred to DG's North East line (NE6) to Harbour Front (NE1).

Ganda ng stations nila, noh?

Singapore MRT and LRT stations map link: here.

Their public transportation is really good and well-planned but it's also very very complex especially for first timers. Kalokaaaa. Sige, palusot pa me. hehehe. :)) They have 106 operating train stations and a lot more are still under construction and planning. Babalik ako for you, MRT/LRT bespren.
Disbelief* Uncertainty* Skepticism
Selfie pa more.

We got lost but that experience drove us to "desire" getting lost in another country/city again. But if you're going there and that's the reason why you stumbled upon this post, you're on the right track.
But whatevs, we arrived at Vivo City/Sentosa.

I was okay again.

I've eaten S&R pizzas before and knowing that S&R (grocery) is a membership shopping, it felt like I won't be able to eat this anymore unless a member treats me. Okay, exagge. Pwede naman magpa-member e, diba? But anyway, let me tell you one of the best pizzas in Quezon City.

*drumroll*

None other that S&R's pizza. S&R Pizza has a branch in Puregold, Cubao and no membership whatsoever is required.

A huge slice with drink costs P 99.00. (Combo)

Try the pizza yourself.

I say it's good and even the long lines and always full restaurant will say so too.

Branches are in: (no membership required)

2nd Floor of Puregold, Cubao
and
1st Floor of Puregold Duty Free, Subic

Here's my "recent" re-discovery, Garlic Pork Rice Meal. Matagal na raw kasi 'tong nasa menu nila and according to my Manang's 2013 post. Manang's Fish Fillet 2013 link: here.

Once a year ang peg, ganun?

First time trying their chicken last 2012. Link: here.

Since 2012, Manang's have improved a lot.

As for my order, it's fried pork chop (mapayat pero malaki) topped with garlic bits. First of, they were able to maintain the tenderness of the meat given that being thin, it's prone to overcooking. I love the special garlic bits. Those aren't all garlic, merong nakahalo na crunchy na hindi ko talaga malaman kung ano and they complement the porkchop well. AT! Unlike their chicken meal which comes with Manang's special sauces, Garlic Pork Rice meal comes with vinegar dip which made me like this meal more.  I am sensing a fourth time in Manang's! Because of this meal, hindi na lang annual ang visit.

Zark's Burgers, Taft link: here.

I wanted to try something else because I had their cheeseburger for two times already. I was really hungry since it was also way past lunch time so Jawbreaker seemed the best order for that day.
P 250.00 with fries and drinks
Jawbreaker is a triple cheeseburger with bacon and spam.

This burger is so massive and filling that I wasn't able to eat everything. I wasn't able to eat a patty, the top bun and some fries.

There's this Zark's challenge that when you finish this burger within five minutes, it's free!

No, I did not take the challenge. I just wanted to see how much will I be able to eat on my own "phasing".

Will you dare?

Lemonade
I wanted to eat burger but I also wanted to try something else (bawal umulit ng resto!!) and as we came across this fastfood joint while walking in Glorietta, ano pa ba? Edi enter na.
Flame-grilled Burger with fries and drinks
P 145.00 + P 20.00 add-on for the cheese.

I like flame-grilled burgers more because they're less oily than those burgers grilled using the regular grillers. It may be big but the size is enough to fit in your mouth so feel na feel na burger talaga ang kinakain dahil di na kailangan gamitan ng fork at kutsilyo. As for the patty, juicy at masarap naman. Buti nagpa add on kami ng cheese.
"Unli" tomato catsup, mayonnaise and mustard.
Condiments are set-up on the tables.

They also serve hotdogs, sausages and buffalo wings.

Why settle for nothin' when you can have everythin'?

Picture-an ang knife and fork na hindi naman nagamit. Mas masaya kumain ng pizza ng naka-kamay.
Barkada Size
Less than P 300.00.
Pepperoni

This is my second time trying Greenwich's thin crust pizza pero 'yung first...

Friend: San mo gusto kumain?
Ako: Kahit saan lang.
F: Greenwich kaya? Gusto mo?
A: Okay lang.

HAHAHAHAHA.
BAKIT AKO NATATAWA.
Pizza kase, P.I.Z.Z.A!

Hahahaha.
I liked this.
Not oily and really crispy.

But it's surely a good thin crust pizza na maraming cheese din not to mention that it's also affordable if not cheap.

Although I'd go for our first order, Signature Special, if I'll eat there again.

The Adobo Flakes meal I had at Robinson's Magnolia was a waste of money so I was doubtful when my friend told us that we should try eating at Adobo Connection because she was craving for Adobo.

Yes, I gave them a second chance and I was impressed this time.

Adobo sa Gata
P 119.00
Add 2
0.00 to Go Sulit with a drink and soup.

I wanted to deviate from my usual Adobo so I stuck with Adobo sa Gata.

It was my first time trying Adobo sa Gata and I was not sure whether or not my palate would accept this kind of Adobo but I liked it. The pork was tender and there was just enough sauce for the rice serving. I don't like super saucy adobo eh.

My friends both got Lola's Classic Chicken Adobo and they also enjoyed their orders as well.

SM Fairview branch has redeemed my Robinson's experience.

1st Visit

My happy place in Glorietta 3. Hihihi.

They didn't have that much food choices on the shelves the day we went there.
But it's fine though, as long the matcha ice cream is available, anything is fine.

Cha Soba
P 95.00

This is my first time eating anything soba and/or cold noodles so I didn't know what to expect.

It tasted okay for me although I'm not sure if it's for everyone because of the subtle green tea taste of the noodles.

I heard that you're supposed to dip the noodles in the sauce but when I poured mine on the cover of this tray, it spilled because there's a hole somewhere and it's really a good thing that I noticed it immediately.
Spam Onigiri
P 39.00

This was fine too although I wish it had more spam bits inside.
Matcha Soft-serve Ice Cream
P 25.00

Can't they build a branch closer to my home? I live in Q.C.
It's really irritating that I can't practice my twirling skills because I only go to Ayala once a month. I know that I can get better if I'd be able to do this at least once a week. My goal is to be able to twirl more than 12 inches high of ice cream. HAHAHAHA.

This is certainly not my last Family Mart post because I still have my eyes on their matcha croissant. I'm getting that one and another cone of ice cream next time.

If my memory served me right, this is the first time that I ate a rice meal for breakfast in a fastfood chain because I usually go for pancakes and hot chocolates. And as I've mentioned before, I rarely eat breakfast outside so I didn't know that Jollibee has their version of TapSiLog.

It's a good thing they had salt and vinegar to serve this with. Otherwise, I would have stuck with pancakes.
P 99.00 with drinks and peach mango pie

It's soft yet tender so I had no difficulties chewing and since it's more on the salty side, it matched perfectly with the vinegar.

Hooray for hotcakes!
Hooray for today!

Tropical storm Maring has left the Philippine area of responsibility but there are still light to heavy rainshowers once in a while. It was raining hard earlier today but it has stopped at this moment.

I love having breakfast in restaurants or fast foods once in a while.

Because it's rare that I eat my breakfast elsewhere, I tend to associate these kind of meals to out-of-town trips. That feeling you get when you're in a stop-over place having breakfast en route to your most awaited vacation spot. I don't know about you but it's the same feeling I have everytime even when I'm just in the metro. Simple things such as this meal never fails to uplift my mood. Weird, right?

Also,  rainy mornings make meals like this more enjoyable, don't they?

3-pieces hotcake plus hot chocolate cost P 79.00.

Chocolate fix early in the morning is a great way to start anyone's day.

It may not look like it at first but this meal is so filling. I had a hard time eating my last piece. As for the syrup, it tastes like the syrup they use when they make their hot chocolate.

*Blueberry syrup is also available.
Ay, gusto ko ng ganitong statement tee. HAHAHAHA!

On another note,
Almost 60% of Metro Manila is submerged in water.
These past few days have been hard especially and
I wish everyone well.

Walang bagyong hindi kayang lampasan. :))

I was once eating my lunch with a friend in Sbarro a few months ago when suddenly,

"Why aren't you taking a picture of your food?" - in a manner that somehow irritated me. (Well, I won't deny that on that lunch break we weren't really in good terms... on my side, at least. That's partly a reason why I didn't.)

But the main reason why is because I've eaten at Sbarro for a lot of times already and more often than not, my order is always Baked Zitti in white sauce. That's like asking me to take a picture of a Sundae Mcdo which I've eaten for I guess more than fifty times already.

Taking a snapshot of a food before eating has become a norm that even if the person I'm eating with doesn't know that I blog, he/she won't question why I took a photo of it first before taking a bite but whether or not I'd take a picture of my food, it's my prerogative. And whether or not I review or post something here or any other social networking site, it's my prerogative too.

Here's another Sbarro lunch out... with a different companion. hahaha! Joke. May iba kasi akong order this time at natuwa ako sa calzone nila. hehehe

My usual order.
Baked Zitti in White Sauce

Pasta was good as always but the garlic bread wasn't. Unlike my previous visits, this one's hard.

Sausage and Pepperoni Stuffed Pizza

I'm not a fan of their Stuffed and/or Deep Dish Pizza but since the regular Pepperoni Pizza wasn't available that time, we ordered this and spaghetti with meatballs too. We over ordered, I know. There's too much food for two persons but we still managed to eat everything. BWAHAHA.

Anyway, this is okay though I'd choose regular pepperoni slice over this anytime and I loved the sourness of the tomato sauce on top.
And here's the highlight of my meal.

Their new (is this new?) Chocolate and Ricotta Cheese Calzone.

Calzone is a turnover pizza dough stuffed with various fillings usually including cheese.

When I was looking at the available pizzas in the counter, I saw a picture of this. And without further thinking, I decided to order one just because calzone, chocolate and cheese were in one food name. ahahaha!

The combination of cheese and chocolate is actually new to my palate but I liked it. I've eaten savory calzones but this is my first time to eat a sweet one. I guess anything that has a chocolate in its ingredients would satisfy and make me happy. Hahaha! That's how much I love chocolates... :
))

And it somehow reminded me of my then favorite Choco-Mallow Pie in Jollibee only it's cheese and choco this time.

I had a hard time choosing my meal given the numerous options in a food court, I also wanted to eat something priced below P 100.00 so I stuck with Adobo Connections.

It was my first time but I've heard that their foods are great so I had no worries at first. Another reason why I chose Adobo Flakes was to have vinegar as my dip... but look how burnt the meats were. Didn't not taste like Adobo, and not even meat to be honest.
I seriously think I wasted my P 100.00 on this meal... yes, when I'm trying to save, I ended up throwing P 100.00 on a meal with vinegar, fried egg, rice, small glass of iced tea, soup that tasted like what you're getting when eating instant noodles and burnt meat.

On another note, I'm really having a hard time typing and using my netbook because the page down, page end and zero keys are all broken since yesterday. -_-

Pwede bang kumain na lang ng kumain and never get fat?

Kasi naman, tabain talaga ko. Ajujujuju.

I love eating breakfast in other places. I don't know but eating outside just gives me the feeling that I'm out-of-town, that vacation feeling I'm longing for now. Calaguas, I want see you so bad! hahaha. Weird, right? But yea, it's rare that I eat breakfast outside and when I do, it usually becomes brunch if I haven't eaten yet before leaving the house. And brunch means rice and nothing else.

But this KFC Pancake is something that I've been wanting to taste because of two reasons. First, its super effective tv commercial and second, it has chocolate chips in it!

P 50.00 with an order of hot chocolate.
I really liked their version of pancake because of the chocolate!
Great way to start the day satisfying one's chocolate cravings. hehehe

Everything, in time. 💖

But I ordered their Fish Fillet Strips.

My first and then last visit in Manang's was in July 2012. Well, before what I ordered wasn't really enjoyable, I kept on saying pass to Manang's until I got to re-visit, they have improved!

Fish Fillet Meal costs P 99.00 (or maybe P 109.00) with  a choice of drink and a big serving of rice.
The serving of rice is a lot bigger (but can also be a lot for those who have normal appetite) than before yet the price remained the same. Yay for that!
The fish fillet strips were soft and the breading has enough crispiness and weren't oily. So good especially when paired with their special sauce.

I wanna try their garlic pork rice too, that looks promising and sulit.

Hi, Zark's! I told you I'm coming back, right?

This, again, is in the second floor of Archer's Nook, DLSU Taft Area.

My order this time is their Zark's Ultimate Burger priced P 150.00 with a glass of iced tea and french fries.
Close-up picture of my order.
Mushroom, cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and onion.
And I ate it again by part. Hehe
Third visit? I think so!

Really good yet cheap burgers, so sulit. Hope they branch out soon, a branch closer to home.

I definitely ordered F which is the Squid Rings with rice but I got this, turned out the Ate from the cashier punched this F for Fish instead of my Squid Rings.

Parang ako, "Hala pano ko mabubusog nitoooooo"
But whatever, I just ate what's in there.

If only it was rice with fish strips. This order was really okay, if only I wasn't that hungry I was really wanting to eat rice. Medyo nabitin ako. hahaha

P 145.00 with drinks

If it's from BonChon, then it's love. :))
Fish and fries were cooked just right.
I just have to double check my orders next time.

Someone sponsored tonight's dinner. Yakimix was the first choice but they're closed for their Christmas Party. Loljk. I know he won't treat there and it's not proper to force him too.

Oh anyway, here is Taco Bell's Grande Meal. My other friends and I also had this exact meal last December worth P 299.00
Two Crispy Tacos, Nachos, Quesadilla, Idk the name of that dessert with choco syrup and two drinks of choice.

We went here after drinking my Gong Cha Choco Caramel so I was quite full I only had like 2 slices of quesadilla and that dessert.

And I actually have to lose weight already. MUST.EAT.LESS...JOKE.

You shouldn't say no to food especially if it's a treat. :)

I've eaten here for so many times, and have been ordering their Sumo Meal if I have someone with me.

So...

Upon ordering the kuya asked us which viand do we prefer, I saw that they're now offering Honey Chicken Terriyaki in the Sumo Meal choices so I chose that, and the person I was with preferred Fried Chicken Karaage *as usual*

For the longest time that we ordered sumo meals, there are two viands, vegetables, 2 cups of rice and 2 glasses of red iced tea.

Here comes our order:
Tadaaaah!
Just chicken terriyaki which portion is less than what I'm used to if it's Tokyo Tokyo.

I showed the server the receipt that we ordered sumo meal which is supposed to have Karaage too but she told us that if the viand is HCT,  you'd only get HCT and nothing else. Why? "BECAUSE IT'S LIKE THAT"

Was it us who misunderstood?

Why would the kuya ask us, "Ano pa po aside sa Chicken Terriyaki?" when you'd only get that pala. He shoud've told us prior to finalizing our orders, whatever.

'Cause of it's a sumo meal, nagm-make sense ba isa lang 'yun ulam? We felt somehow cheated with this one, he should've told us sooner. HAHA. Gutom eh.

Four of us shared this meal bundle and chipped in around P 150.00 each.

12 pieces of wings
4 cups of rice
kimchi coleslaw
japchae
french fries
4 glasses of iced tea

If you're eating here with friends, I now suggest that you just order this. You can choose from the parts choices anyway if you'd like the other parts. It's just an added 5.00 to each of your bill yet you get a lot more since their meals cost P 145.00 with drinks.

We chose chicken wings so we can have 3 pieces each. The first time I enjoyed wings, really.
That's the part I like the least.
