Back to an old favorite of mine. One word: Nostalgic. :)) |
Baker's Hat P 150.00 Large Homemade Cheesecake + Yogurt + Almond Clusters It has been years since I ordered my last Baker's Hat from White Hat. Of all the available combinations they have, this will always be the perfect one for me. Frozen Yogurt to Milk Teas to Matcha... I wonder what would come next in the succession of my food addictions. (Dark) Chocolate would always be an all-time favorite though so that's out of the equation. |
Days like today make me wish that I can just teleport to MOA or Eastwood and order this for myself 'cause you know, when all else fails, desserts can do the trick.
This fondue is for two persons but bring me there on a "sad and unfair" day like today, I can eat all of these alone plus an extra scoop of matcha or dark chocolate ice cream as well.
Fondue for two is composed of 4 mini scoops of ice cream (your choice of flavors), banana, mango, cream and wafer |
And your warm chocolate sauce, of course. P 340.00 Natatawa ko. Kasi fondue 'to so dapat, isasawsaw mo lahat pati 'yung ice cream? Also, if you're gonna pass by Swensen's branch on a weekday, try their P 99.00 Sundaes!! I wish I have the luxury to go there on a weekday really. I want to try their Matcha Sundae too. |
The interior of Stacy's so cute not to mention the nice view outside the building (overlooking somewhere).
While I was watching the drama, Rooftop Prince, I craved for Omu-Rice for a lot of times and when I had the chance to order it, I did.
Complimentary Appetizer |
Free dessert? |
Na-wrong order lang ako this time. And again, the place is really cute! Para kang nasa doll house. |
Went out with friends in Pasig Area (specifically Phil Sports Arena) and were torn on where we're going to eat. We had four choices: a resto in Kapitolyo, Mom and Tina's, somewhere in BGC but decided to head to Sunrise Buckets at the Grove just across Tiendesitas.
It's my first time eating in Sunrise Buckets but my friends' nth. We had a lot of stories to share so we opted to stay in the open-air area not to disrupt other customers inside the restaurant. I didn't get to enter but observing from outside: it's a surfing-themed restaurant and it looks so fun. The next time I/we go there, I/we HAVE to stay inside.
Bourbon |
Jack Daniel's |
And what I liked best among the three: Sunrise Original |
And my drink, Carribean Iced Tea. Tastes like Skittles though I first blurted out it tastes like air freshener. haha. I got used to the taste after a few sips though. I liked that they have plastic gloves so eating these wings was easy. Well, I don't eat buffalo wings that much and this is actually the first time I posted about buffalo wings in this blog. I've said this here before but I dislike wings and would always prefer the thigh part of chicken. Back to Sunrise Buckets, Sunrise Original got me and I'm craving for so much more that I think I can finish a bucket alone. But as much as I crave for it, there's no way I can frequent this restaurant so see you in several months, SB. First is because of the location, I dislike being around Pasig tbh because I might see someone I don't want to see ever again (joke!) and the price is way beyond my food budget. But as I've said in this post, it's okay to splurge once in a while as long as the foods are great so no regrets that I paid more than P 500.00 for my dinner (not to mention that I was also enjoying a good company of friends). Our bill amounted P 2,200.00 for three variants of buffalo wings, 4 cups of rice, two glasses of Carribean iced tea (with refill) and two glasses of rootbeer float. |
I finally have the will to post these here. Hehehe
It's been a while, Samgyeopsal!
Here's a combined blog post of my two consecutive Saturday dinners.
First is Nal Di Mok in DLSU, or maybe I should say Rizal Stadium area 'cause that's closer. You'd have to walk in a street there. (Sorry, that time I wasn't really taking note of where we were) This is just a small restaurant in that area because the first we went at didn't have samgyeopsal for that day and that's our favorite so we had to move.
Here's the samgyeopsal while being cooked. Actually we always get disappointed with the quantity of pork being served whenever we eat in a Korean resto. As in always. "Huh? Dalawang order na 'yan?" |
Here are the sidedishes at Mat Gal Ne Jib. Again, I wasn't taking note of where this was but it's in front of St. Giles hotel somewhere in Makati. |
Aside from my usual fastfood picks, there aren't a lot of choices for cheap and decent food in Bonifacio Highstreet Area. While there are so much decent foods, cheap being a qualifier limits the choices unless you are in the Market! Market! area where more affordable meals are to be found.
Anyway, before going there, I texted a friend who once told me that there's an affordable Korean restaurant somewhere in BGC. She told me thru text the location and the estimate prices of each meal, P 100.00 - P 150.00 is an okay price; that's relatively cheap compared to other Korean Resturants and cheap given its location... until we found out that the menu for Filipinos are really cheaper than the set menu they give to Korean customers. Thanks to the Ate who told us so. Racist much? HAHAHA. I'm not looking at this negatively despite being taken aback at first. At the end of the day, I was able to eat an authentic bibimbap for P 145.00 so what's there to be hurt about? I appreciated them for thinking about the acceptable price range for Filipino but it it's okay to give us a copy of the pricier selections too.
Chinatown has become a must-visit for every foodie. You may consider it a haven for those who love eating Authentic Chinese food while in budget.
As a Binondo first-timer, I had to rely on my friend who had listed down some of the visit-worthy restaurants there. Yey for the hardwork!
Walk.Walk.Walk.
Good thing I love walking around.
Here's the first stop:
Tasty Dumplings in Masangkay Street. There's also a branch in Ongpin Street.

Eastwood, bah-beh!
Sorry, super babaw ng kaligayahan ko pero at least diba, natutuwa.

Kind of excited to go here but like the last time that I went here, it was raining again.
Seriously, rain?
Nice shot, isn't it? Or not? hahaha I am aware that Bigoli occupied the space of that Italian restaurant where a friend and I ate too much breadsticks a few years back. They were free and the Ate kept giving us whenever she passed by our seat. I wasn't expecting loads of garlic breadsticks this time but we were immediately given free breadsticks as we formed our line to order. Hey, seriously the best breadsticks ever especially when served hot. Unlimited pa. Almost a year after, it's Doppio Deligioso once again on a different branch. This was the Valentine's day treat last year, fyi. Time fleets! -_- The price though is already P 390.00 for all of these. |
Ang masasabi ko lang,
"Kuya, penge pa ng tinapay!"
Ano nga pangalan nito?
'Yung nasa Mindanao avenue na pares house, right side if you're Trinoma bound.
Here are the prices but there are a lot more choices though.
Tried the weekend food market at BGC.
This one's beside the football turf, just walking distance from Highstreet.
They were still setting up the stalls when we arrived, around 7:30 PM.

The Tent's View from our seat. So many selections were there. |
Chicken Isaw P 40.00/stick |
Puto Bumbong |
Must-try! I actually drank two bottles. I loved the mango juice. Sold for P 35.00/bottle or 3 for P 100.00 |
Charcoal Grilled Burger I forgot the name of the store where we bought this but this one's P 150.00 |
Lola Ina's is one of the restaurants where you can make paluto, Conyo much. In that stretch of restaurants opposite HK Plaza in Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay; Lola Ina's is the last restaurant on the left side when you're facing the Bay. |
I wasn't drunk. Really. |
It's not closed, of course. We ate at the air-conditioned part. |
Fish Sinigang |
And the seaweed that tastes like seawater. I haven't tried eating this before. |
What are these? |
Crabs for higher blood pressure, anyone? |
It's hard for me to explain their taste. But yea, it's like eating in an eat-all-you can. HAHAHA. I was so full and happy. Good thing I don't have allergies, I can enjoy seafoods this much.
Really worth it! I mean, I've been there three times (in different restaurants) and was never satisfied with the taste. In here, they cook well and the service was also great! Very prompt waiters, they remove the shells once they start to pile-up and refill water immediately. Satisfaction is regardless of the quantity. We would still enjoying having less than all of these.
Although I didn't experience it this time, expect a lot of people people who would force you to buy from them or let them cook your food. They're the culture of Dampa Restaurants. Stressor!! You'd leave the place more stressed than you were, so bring a lot of patience if you're doing the shopping for the raw seafoods and haven't decided which place to eat yet.
At Maginhawa.
You'd actually find a lot of restos at Teacher's Village, it's a great place for food tripping because of the varieties and most of the times, the restaurants there are budget-friendly.
Here's one: Friuli Trattoria

Angel Hair ... I fogot the name. Good for 2-3 persons. See the tomatoes? I like my pastas a little bit sour or the real Italian style. This one didn't disappoint! |
Half Hawaiian and Half Cheese Steak Thin crust! I like. |
For me though, these Mozzarella sticks were the highlight of this meal. All these cost us around P 550.00 (?) Not sure though. |
This ice cream store is in Magiting St. (near Maginhawa) at Teacher's Village.
What I ordered was S'more under the Dragon's Breath Selection. Four sticks of S'mores and a cup of liquid nitrogen for P 55.00 Excuse my face in the next pictures. hehe. |
What's more exciting than taking a bite of this? "playing" with the fog! My friend even pointed out that the vapor also came out from my nostrils. Just wasn't able to capture it in photo. |
