These are some of the places that we visited on a Summer Tokyo Trip. Japan hits different now that I watch anime. hahaha. I don't blog as frequent as I did before so I'm posting this here just in case some future traveler wants reference since submitting an itinerary is a visa application requirement.

Jump Shop(s) and other anime stores

This is what I'm talking about when I said Tokyo hits different. hahaha! Our first Japan trip was in Fukuoka and we bought an unlimited JR Pass back then. Was I a fan of One Piece back then, I would've definitely gone to Kumamoto to see their statues. And oh, apparently, Thousand Sunny is/was in Huis Ten Bosch.

Mugiwara Store

Magnet Building, Shibuya

This was the second Mugiwara Shop for that day. Other than One Piece, I'm proud to say that I can now identify a lot of characters like Anya, Denji, Shoyo, Gojo, Killua etc. I swear, if you're an anime fan, Tokyo is heaven but also feels like hell for travelers with tight budget 'cause temptation is everywhere.

Gotokuji Temple

Gotokuji Temple

During our last year's trip in Cebu's Little Kyoto, while walking through their versions of Torii gates, Maneki-Neko, and Hachiko Statue, we were telling each other to try saving for a Spring 2024 trip to Japan.

But the universe had a different plan, and we ended up going in Summer 2023. We made sure that we'll be able to visit this Shrine because of this - a wish made through a maneki-neko came true.

Seventeen Gachapon

I didn't try my luck in any SVT Gachapon though because anime was the top prio. Also, this was when GIFs of Wen Junhui's drama were going viral so nevermind. HAHAHAHA. JOKE LANG! Pero totoo slight nyahahhaahahha Sorry na, Junhui! Pero kasi 1/13 'yan, sis. Kung sure lang sana edi bumili ako isa. HAHAHAHA. Next time, promise. 😂😂😂

Shiba Park

Looking for this was when I had one of the embarrassing moments in Tokyo. Hahaha

I asked, "Konnichiwa! Shiba Park wa doko desu ka?"
She answered
I said, "Kamsahamnida!"

HAHAHAHA! After a few seconds, I remembered that I was in Japan and not South Korea. I immediately said, Arigatou Gozaimasu. So much for trying to ask in Japanese.

Thank you, Universe for giving us the chance to heal our 2020 heartbreak! Tokyo trip finally came true after three years and three months of waiting. ðŸ’– Truth be told though, if I were to tell my Cebu-bound self that I'm flying to Tokyo in 2023, I wouldn't believe me as well. hehehe ðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜Š

This is our go-to coffee shop for whenever we want to feel mountain breeze.

It's a no-frills coffeeshop. Just straight up coffee (matcha in my case), chairs and tables, and overlooking view. There's also a restroom and parking spaces.

May not be for everyone but we're good with this especially since we can bring our pets with us. No need to bring permits or vaccination records etc.

A good enough matcha for its price and the view. I forgot how much this was.

I haven't tried going there on a weekend but I heard that it gets packed especially during sunsets.

I think around 4:30-5:30 PM is the best time to go here. Earlier would be hot since it's an open space without electric fan and later would mean you might miss the sunset if that's what you're going for.

Sunset while overlooking Metro Manila.

This has been in my backlog for a year now. Mabilis ko na-post considering I have several backlogs from 5 years ago. Haha! Those probably won't make it here in my blog. Anyway, when we visited, it was still prohibited to remove facemasks but I have some photos without mask 'cause pasaway like that. Sorry, Pinto. 😛

Kulay Rosas ang bukas🌹🌹🌹

Visited a few days before the presidential elections. Oh, those were the days.

Let me just show you some photos from the art museum 'cause it's really difficult for me to say things about art appreciation. HAHAHA!

For the several times that I've visited the National Museum, I've always have goosebumps visiting that room filled with caskets and burial jars but I didn't feel that here. Probably because of lighting.

Wishing on the wishing well that someday sa Trevi Fountain na ko magwi-wish. Luh

Pinto Art Museum is wide and you would really need the map they provide as a guide. It was scorching that afternoon so we definitely weren't able to go to all the exhibits and places here.

For the aesthetic? Yes.
For art lovers? Definitely.

Hindi po talaga ko maalam sa art pero keri lang. Museum ay musuem. HAHAHA

Photos from our room in Azalea Hotel in Boracay.

The location is not beachfront but it's a station of the Hop On, Hop Off bus.

It was comfortable sleeping here. Our room was spacious and there's a sofa set as well.
There's a veranda facing the street but it's not noisy at all.

Our room had a kitchen. I think most of the rooms do although we didn't use it since we ate all our meals outside. This a good room inclusion if you're the type who rather cook than eat out or if you want to save money since restaurants in Boracay especially those facing the beach can be really expensive.

Buffet Breakfast and Crystal Kayak at Movenpick Resort and Spa

Happy Hour at Movenpick Resorts and Spa

Towels and bathroom supplies are included in the room rate. The water pressure of the shower was good as well.

This hotel has a rooftop pool and a Kuya J restaurant beside the lobby. Overall, it was a comfortable stay. My favorite thing is it being a bus station since we didn't have to walk far in order to wait for the bus. lol
