Seoul, South Korea Travel Photodump link: here.
Busan, South Korea Must-visits link: here.

The World Cup Park area has five different (contiguous) parks namely Pyounghwa Park, Haneul Park, Noeul Park, Nanjicheon Park, and Nanji Hangang Park. I will be posting both Haneul and Nanjicheon Park for this entry.

As you exit the subway station, this is what you're going to see.

Take the escalator and you'd be able to get to the stadium although I think I climbed all the way up using the stairs because I was taking photos.

To be honest, I didn't know that the area is going to be this huge. Back then, I didn't even know that this place has other parks 'cause I was just looking for Haneul Park which is, I think, the most famous of all the parks in the area mainly because of the Eulalia grass.

Eulalia and Pink Muhly of Busan, South Korea link: here.

And since I just walk without asking people, I walked and walked and walked on this area only to find out later on that Haneul Park is on the other side of the street and the only way that I'd be able to reach it is to hike down and cross the street. HAHAHA! I was getting nowhere walking on this ridge but then I was too stubborn to ask.

Nami Island was in my itinerary but I couldn't pass up the chance of taking a photo in area. HAHAHA!

Haneul Park, South Korea

You can walk but Haneul Park is elevated so it's an ascent actually but there's an easier way to get to this area and that is to ride the park shuttle from the entrance, I just forgot how much the round trip ticket was.

Haneul Park, South Korea

The time that I visited here was the end of Winter transitioning to Spring. They were preparing the field for another set of Eulalia grass so the dried grasses were all cut down that time. Anyway, it was fine 'cause without "something to see," there weren't a lot of people in the area. It felt private.

Haneul Park, South Korea
The smell of new places. <3

Haneul Park, South Korea
This, by the way, was the main reason why I fell inlove with the parks in South Korea.

Libre na nga, ang ganda ganda pa! Lakas ng feeling bakasyon. I've toured around Seoul for two consecutive winters and since the weather is too cold - it's understandable that not a lot locals travel around as well. Kaya ayon, quiet time most of the time whenever I go to the parks.

Maipilit lang 'yung damuhan. HAHAHA! :)))

Ajusshi was outside the gate waiting and I rode the shuttle but then upon seeing what seemed like a frozen body of water, I asked him to stop the shuttle and I'd just walk back 'cause I want to see this place first. HAHAHA. :))

I believe this place has been a shooting location for a Korean drama 'cause it looked very familiar to me. I think this is a part of the Nanjicheon Park and this body of water isn't a lake but a frozen stream.

Winter travel? Achieved! <3

If ever you find yourself in this place, it's better to a lot at least half a day if you want to visit all the parks and so you'd be able to enjoy the feeling of peace and quiet here. There should be signs and guide maps anywhere so you won't get lost even if you decide to travel here on your own.

I haven't been reviewing products but since I learned that the other two variants which is the Oil Control UV Covering Base and Bright Up UV Covering Base were released here in the Philippines recently, I decided to post this here.

I was looking for my Biore BB Cream that I've been using since 2016 but I think, they phased it out now. I was using a different BB cream from the Faceshop which I got on sale last February but now that I need to restock, I wanted to go back to Biore but as I've mentioned, I couldn't find it anywhere here in PH.

When I went to Hong Kong, I searched the stores (Watson's, Sassa, Bonjour etc.) for the BB cream but I could only find this which was priced at around 140 HKD but was discounted at 97 HKD that time. I tried the testers and decided that this should be the closest thing to the BB cream and so I got one.

I don't have a lot of blemishes these days which is very fortunate since I tend to have hormonal acne on my chin once in a while. Above is a photo taken after I applied my serum.

I honestly don't remember how the Oil Control was when I tried it but for the Bright up, it was light and bright. You know, probably perfect for those with fair skin who wants a sheer coverage and a non-sticky sunscreen. Ang puti niya talaga tignan.

Covering Base has a sheer coverage upon application although it looks beige in the container. Another thing that I liked about this is that there's no glitters since that was the only concern I had with the 3D BB cream. As for the coverage though, this is not something that would conceal your blemishes. After all, it's marketed as a base only anyway.

What I noticed is that it "blurred" the big pores on my cheek and kinda evened out the color of my face. It's not too white and it's easy to apply. However, I noticed that compared to my BB cream, I need a little bit more of this when putting on my face and neck. The 30 grams won't definitely not last as long as the BB cream and it's not even sold here in the Philippines so restocking would be a problem. I wonder why Biore decided not to bring this variant here with the other two...

But so far so good, I prefer the SPF protection and the blurring of my pores more than the coverage these days anyway so it's a good buy. Plus, it doesn't feel sticky on the face especially during hot and humid days.

I applied my cheek tint:  Skin Genie's Lip and Cheek Stain Alive in Creamy Peach which I've been using since 2017. The one that I'm using now is a different tube though since I lost the one which I made a review of.

And then put on my Luna Organics Mousse Blush in Tootsie for my lips and Skin Food Powder on my face. I bought two 15 grams powder of the Skinfood Peach Cotton Finish powder and it's been almost six months and I haven't finished one container.

Above photo was taken on a white LED light setting.

The powder appears too white upon application but settles to translucent some minutes after. Above is a picture taken on a natural sunlight setting.

PS. I was obsessing over minimizing my pores these past months so I bought several products which promise smaller pores and used them religiously at night. I noticed that my skin was only getting worse whenever I have the "proper" skincare routine but then whenever I'm travelling and I only put on two-three products at night, my skin clears up. HAHAHHA. And so, I decided to stick with the two-three products a night and the result were as expected.

Last year on my solo trip in Thailand ganito naging itinerary ko...

Bangkok - airplane to Chiang Rai - bus to Chiang Mai - bus to Chiang Rai - airplane to Bangkok

the reason why it was like that was because nauna kong i-book 'yung Bangkok - Chiang Rai leg ng flights ko tapos sinunod ko na lang 'yung Manila - Bangkok nung nakapag-ipon na ko ng enough pocket money. Afterall, 10 days 'to at solo travel pa. I needed more than enough funds.

Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai Must-visits

Elephant Trails of Elephant Nature Park (Saddle of Program)

Wachirathan Waterfalls
Ang Ka Nature Trail of Doi Inthanon National Park (mossy forest, easy trek)
Doi Inthanon Summit (highest point of Thailand)
Twin Royal Pagodas
Trek to Karen Village in Mae Klang (moderate)

Anyway, I arrived in Chiang Rai the afternoon and as I was walking to my hotel meron akong nakitang travel operator so I inquired about the Chiang Rai Tour that I can do for a day at ang napili ko at within budget ay itong merong Golden Triangle plus 'yung contemporary temples at green tea plantation which are all good experiences if you ask me.

And then...

The thing here is kahit ganito lang, ibang bansa na ko papunta. Nag cross border ako before sa Cambodia - Vietnam  pero nung mga panahon na 'yon, sigh of relief kasi finally, nakalabas na ko sa Cambodia pero ngayon sigh of nervousness kasi hala, ano ba 'tong pinasok ko. :))

This is just me overthinking kasi pag inaalala ko, may sudden shift talaga doon sa atmosphere coming from Chiang Mai tas biglang naging ganon.

That night I posted on my IG story that I cross the border to Myanmar and then I got several replies na buti na lang safe akong nabalik. Shemay. Oo, buti nga. Magulo don sa part na 'yon. AS IN.

Above is the market area of Mae Sai at grabe, tuwang-tuwa ako nung sinundo na ko. Huhuhu!!

Stuck in nowhere, besh. :))) Wala kasi sa isip ko dahil hindi rin naman ako nag research masyado beforehand na 'tong lugar na 'to is infamous for people doing visa runs. 'Yung magc cross border lang para mas ma-extend 'yung allowed duration of stay nila sa Thailand kasi nga naman, magre-renew 'yung number of days.

By the way, this place used to be a place of opium and heroin trade pero for sure until now, meron pa rin ganon kaya mas careful at mas thorough 'yung immigration officers ng Thailand part. Drug trade na nga, visa run pa. HAHAHAHA. Ang lakas ng loob ni Tintin 2018, shet.

Apart from the border crossing na nakakatakot, we were driven to this part of Thailand where in you'll see why it's called The Golden Triangle.

Pero 'yun nga, saan pa ba makakaranas ng three countries in one afternoon?! HAHAHA!

Ganon.

Kaso 'yun nga, pag nakikita 'ko 'to... Grateful for the experiences but I don't think I have the energy to return just yet.

Brunei na lang hindi ko napupuntahan sa mga ASEAN countries and whenever I look back from I was several years down the road, malaking accomplishment na rin 'yon!!! AKALAIN KO NGA NAMAN.

But this is me setting myself free and getting my soul back... hahaha! tama na muna ko sa ASEAN countries for now and for next year. When the time's right, gusto ko bumalik ng Singapore, Vietnam, and/or Malaysia at mag Bali, Indonesia pero someday, malayong someday pa 'yon... I'll hold onto these memories for now. Saka, I gained a long distance friend from the hostel I stayed at in Chiang Rai. In contact pa rin kami til now unlike sa ibang hostel na hello, friend, goodbye din ang eksena.

Despite the not-so-nice experience in the border crossing of Thailand and Myanmar, what I experienced this afternoon is something I'd always remember in all these traveling that I've done in the past five years. This just showed how strong and courageous I've become taking into consideration that I'd cry when I lose the sight of my mom when I was about five years old... :) grateful to have the means to travel din once in while.

For my recent trip to the USA, I flew with Eva Air. I purchased the tickets from the BDO Travel Fair in SM Aura, BGC last January. Even before arriving at the mall, I knew that I wanted to buy plane tickets from them so I didn't even roam around the venue and and I immediately fell in line for Eva as I entered.

My previous trip was with Emirates and although I liked it that I was able to step in the airport of Dubai, those flights (MNL - DXB - LAX) were tiring and draining because of the length. I'd take that DXB layover if I'm going to Europe (UMAASA HAHA) but for USA flights, East Asia layover and/or direct flights from Manila are the best options.

Our flight from NAIA terminal 1 was around 4 AM and we were at the airport at around 1 AM so I haven't slept. This is my kind of travel time actually 'cause I sleep well in airplanes but for some people who can't, this can be draining for they have to be awake for a long time.

I was awaken by the smell of food and even if I wasn't in the mood for breakfast, I ate since I didn't wanna spend money at the airport to buy food.

Taiwan is still visa-free for Filipinos.

Sunrise above clouds... <3 The reason why I love short haul sunrise flights. I've lost count of the times I've ridden an airplane but thankful more than ever.

This is a Hello Kitty themed waiting area at the airport. There are several themes there that would introduce you to the culture of Taiwan - just that I love the Let's Travel Around The World of this one and hello, it's Hello Kitty!!! <3

One at a time.

Soon... Mt. Fuji

Although I saw it from the airplane en route to LAX.

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport Lounge Service by Plaza Premium Lounge

Three hours layover in TPE was bearable. Enough to roam around the airport and rest before the long haul flight.

TPE - LAX flight

There weren't a lot of inflight movies unlike Emirates but not bad since I was asleep almost the entire time. I was able to watch some like Crazy Rich Asians but during the return flight, I saw the movie of Kyungsoo's Swing Kids and Park Seo Joon's Youn's Kitchen. Guess what? I was awake more than I was asleep. :)))

Didn't ran out of snacks all throughout the flight.

Food was great. It was like an eat-all-you-can buffet up there. hahaha! But mainly because I'm more used to dishes compare to that of Emirates which were more of Middle Eastern Cuisine.

Fuji, paano pa kaya next year. hahaha.

I should've known that the flight is the start of a month-long food trip in the USA. HAHAHA!

Even if it has already been three months since this flight, I still can't believe that I was able to return to the USA in just three years.
