Went for another hike in Jangsan, this time with some friends.

Like a typical autumn day in Busan, it is bright and sunny (for like three to four hours per day) and cool 24/7. I love Spring and Autumn weather!

Enjoyed the long walk from home and passed through the other way so we saw this temple.

Pokposa Temple

Continued walking.

And if you see the fork in the road, one with a concrete incline and the other one with stairs - go right to the stairs.

Signages are not a lot in this mountain but nonetheless, I don't think you'll get lost 'cause based on experience no matter where you decide to pass through (trails), you'll end up at the wooden staircase near the summit.

Or maybe not? haha! Basta, just look for (산) 정상, that means peak.

 Stream of rocks in view.

I will never forget the sigh of relief, gratitude, and accomplishment when I first saw this staircase. <3

And the magnificent top view of the place I learned to love so bad. There was a viewing area we visited in Japan and it was written there that it was one of the three best beautiful skylines in the world but for some personal reasons - this is not on the list but this is my first. :))

I wanted to view the sunset here but I didn't have the proper hiking accessories especially flashlight when I went here.

This isn't the peak - you'd have to walk a little bit more to get to the peak but this place has always been good enough for me.

Went down to Daecheon Park - the first place I visited in Busan.

Autumn foliage wasn't a lot but still thankful that I saw some trees with changing leaves already.

After the hike, we went straight to Jwadong Traditional Market to eat snacks.

There's this restaurant my friend and I always went to when we are in this area but even if I knew ajumma by face and she knows us too, I never got the name of her restaurant.

Anyway, we got these Korean pancakes which are perfectly paired with makgeolli and cider!

Such a great way to spend the day! <3

This post is the last installment for my 30-days Busan adventure last year.

FINALLY!

Dadaepo beach is located far west of Busan so it took us around two hours from Jangsan Station (Haeundae). It's not pricey and it's convenient to get here 'cause you're just taking the metro but it is far - kinda like the feeling of Seoul to Incheon travel if not farther.

We could've arrived on time for the sunset but we were distracted by the park at the exit of the train station because the trees are beautiful. It could've been a very beautiful sunset view 'cause no cloud was in sight to block the sun setting down.

Arrived at this area less than five minutes before it completely set for that day. HAHAHA! Alam mo 'yung nagbyahe ka ng more than two hours para sa limang minutong 'to pero hindi mo pa rin inabutan?! haha

The sun has set but it was still bright for the next hour so we walked to the wooden boardwalk on the side of the mountain. Yep, all coastal walks in Busan are like this.

Water is shallow and gentle at this part of Busan so it's the perfect place to go for families who have small children who wants to swim in the sea.

We took our time and walked at this part while staring at the beautiful view. A lot different than the rest of the beaches in Busan 'cause this place is a lot more peaceful and raw even with all the structures the built around the place.

We were getting hungry so we decided to walk back to the park and eat first before watching the fountain show.

The fountain of dreams show takes place at 8 PM except Mondays.

Almost all restaurants in this area serve grilled eel so it's just up to you which one you like more. For us, we chose the one that has tables and chairs outside so we can eat while smelling the ocean air.

I have always wanted to try eating that shelled sea creature (HAHAHA! I don't know what the name is) 'cause I saw that being eaten by Park Seo Joon when he guested at 2 Days, 1 Night two years ago.

My first time eating eel. We told the restaurant owner that it was our first time so he taught us how eat this fish.

Could've been a perfect pair with a bottle of soju but we opted not to drink any alcoholic beverage 'cause we were very far from home. Would love to try eating this again!

Our meal was 15,000 KRW each. More than the delicious food, it's the experience of eating at a place like this (reminds you of Kdrama scenes, noh?) that makes this whole thing memorable.

If you only have a day to spend in Busan but you want to see and experience as much as possible, this area is one your best choices. The activities here are a lot but definitely doesn't need a whole day stay so you can go elsewhere.

While Igidae Coastal Walk is my favorite among all the coastal walks in Busan, Amnam Park Coastal walk is also beautiful. Not to mention that it's a lot shorter than Igidae.

You have three several options in getting here. 1. Ride the cable car from Songdo Beach.  2. Take a bus from Jagalchi that would directly take you to the park 3. Walk along the coastal trail

What I suggest though is that you ride the cable car from the beach and if you're into trekking then make use of the coastal trail to go back to Songdo beach.

Happy <3

Cable car is my favorite mode of transportations. Hehehe!

A bit of a walk in an incline from the bus stop to main park.

Some views are kinda like Taejongdae and Igidae.

You can't see Haeundae from this side of Busan because mountains are blocking the view but it's still a good viewpoint.

You can find a lot of art installations in this place.

But my favorite of all are trees which leaves turned to orange early.

Dinosaurs like this can also be seen in Zooraji atg Shinsegae department store in Marine City, Busan.

In Korea, it's not unusual to find several gym equipments which you can use for free. We have a lot of those in at Jangsan Mountain link: here.

A huge park with lots of trails lined with pine trees! missed the scent <3

Saka bakit ang payat ko ata dyan hahaha

Just for photoshoot. I have no idea where this trail leads but a lot of people continue walking.

After roaming around, we went to to the building to purchase a one-way ticket in a crystal cabin.

After Haedong Yonggung Sa, we continued walking towards Orangdae. While there is a bus that ply this route, we decided to just walk along the coast. Busan weather during autumn is very conducive for hiking anyway.

We brought snacks with us and good thing we found this pavilion by the beach. Made our convenience store snacks much more delicious - this view.

If you're walking along this side of Busan coasts, you'll have a lot of places like this but worry not 'cause the trails aren't dangerous - they're actually well-paved. Okay, aside from the occasional yellow and black garden spiders in some coniferous trees, everything else is fine.

It's not that small but pictures of it make it look smaller.

This is another shooting location of Fight For My Way. Little Dongman, Aera, and Sulli were shown
playing in this area.

Other Fight For My Way Shooting Locations:

Namil Villa
Ilgwang Beach
Seoullo 7107

Rugged stones before reaching Orangdae.

500 KRW kinda gives you an idea on the size of this Buddha in real life.

What you'll see inside.

You won't really see a lot of attractions in this area but this is famous especially during New Year's Day.

A lot of people camp out in this area to wait for the sunrise. The sun rises beside Orangdae and it's a great view with all the rugged rocks and ocean waves.

I think that this is Busan's version of Myeongdong. Not only can you find a lot of stores and hotels, there's Busan Tower and Yongdusan Park in the middle which is a lot like Seoul's Namsan Tower.

ANYWAY,

South Korea Travel Sim? Purchase yours here.

Aside from the stalls in the middle, you have three markets in this area namely: Gukje, Kkangtong, and Jagalchi.

Above is what they call "Let's Eat Alley"

You sit in one of the stools and eat ajumma's simple yet delicious meal. I ate here once and here I was able to eat the best spicy fish cake I've had so far. haha!

If eating in the alley is not your thing, you can definitely find something that will tickle your fancy here. Actually, if you're only spending a night or two in Busan the I suggest that you find a hotel in this area 'cause this is the best spot to experience Busan. If you're into club parties though, you'll be better off staying in Seomyeon.

This is the most famous hotteok in Busan.

You can easily spot them 'cause they're the only hotteok stall that has long lines almost all the time.

Lots of streetfood but definitely cheaper than the ones in Myeongdong. Odeng costs 2,000 KRW in Seoul but it's only 500 KRW in Busan. Dito lang magagawa 'yung kanto kain na Kim Bok Joo style karami.

Alleys and alleys of restaurants, cosmetics and clothing shops.

This is where it gets confusing for me 'cause for the many times that I went to this area - I didn't notice where Gukje Market ends and where Kkangtong starts.

One great difference of the two parallel markets is that Gukje stalls sell different things while Kkangtong is usually different kinds of food.

I didn't get the name of this place but it's what they consider a MAT JIB. The servings are huge but they didn't cost a lot. There wasn't a line when we arrived but the restaurant was packed and just after around 10 minutes there was already a long line of customers at the door.

I don't have photos of Jagalchi Market but if you're into eating fresh seafood then that's the market to go to. They said that Busan trip won't be complete without visiting Jagalchi - and while I've gone there once, I go on a fish market in the Philippines frequently that going to Jagalchi felt like work so I never returned after that one time even if I was always in Nampo. HAHAHA!
