Can't decide if this afternoon in Luljetta Hanging Gardens was swimming, water spa, or pictorial. Okay, a little bit of everything na lang.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

This was supposed to be that one thing that we're going to look forward to in February so we bought the tickets this month. However, when we called to reserve the date that we were intending to visit, it was already fully booked.

We were like,
Siya: Puno na raw 'yung date. Morning and afternoon.
Ako: Paano na? Ibang date? March?
Siya: Ang tagal! This week?
Oh sure. Okay. Let's go!

Madaling kausap. HAHA! 😂

You can purchase discounted tickets in the link above. After purchasing, reserve your slots by calling or e-mailing Luljetta.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

This was reserved three days prior our arrival. We submitted a photo of our ID and a Health Declaration Form via Google Forms a day before our schedule. Of course, we had searched about the risks of this activity (swimming) before going there. I also talked to a doctor friend and I was assured that safe naman mag-swimming basta iwas daw sa ma-tao.

Upon registration, we were given this basket with two towels and two robes to use inside the hanging garden. We were then escorted to the locker room where we changed into our swimwear.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

This remains my favorite out of all the pools.

There's a sauna beside this and using it is included in the package. I don't know why we didn't try entering the sauna room though.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

While in the jacuzzi, we "planned" on how we're making the most of the next consecutive hours inside. We decided to walk around the whole hanging gardens first, take photos and if time permits, go back to were we liked the most. There's actually a signage asking guests to limit the jacuzzi stay for 15 minutes and we obliged.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Recreated this photo.
Had similar looking photo from the first time I went here in 2014.  The pools are still the same but there were a lot of improvements.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Fish Spa Area

This is not my first time trying a fish spa out but I couldn't last several minutes with my feet dipped in here. I don't know what happened to me 'cause this experience used to be enjoyable and ticklish but it's freaking me out now.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Hydro-massage Pool

We stayed there for several minutes. Hindi lang for photo 'cause we actually used the hydro-massage area. Haven't had a PROPER body massage since ECQ. Parang gusto ko ng Thai Massage!

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

There were other guests that day but we kinda avoided everyone and we were successful in doing so except at the infinity pool. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves most of the time.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

This "dinousaur" nest was placed along the walkway near the infinity pool. There was a group swimming when we arrived in this area so we decided to take our time by taking lots of photos AGAIN.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

We placed our baskets here. Rehydrated ourselves since there's also a water station and took more photos.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

We swam together with the group but they left after several minutes leaving only the two of us there.

The sun sets on that side so almost all photos taken here were silhouette shots.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Tinatanaw ko lang kung saan kami next. 💁🏻‍♀️ Nakikita mo ba ang nakikita ko? East pa rin ba tayo??
Hala ka! Ito na naman akoooooo. 😂

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Had the entire area to ourselves for around 30 minutes our so. ❤️

Ginusto namin 'to eh. 😂

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Tangkad yern?
Hahahahaha. O diba, my photog. Galing daw sa ibaba para mukhang matangkad. Lahat talaga eh. 😂
Pero, tangkad nga yern?? 😂

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

I think this is the most famous photo spot in the whole of Luljetta.

As I mentioned above, we hung out for a bit while seated there. What really happened that afternoon was more kwento and tawa while looking at the view instead of swimming.

When other people arrived, we left for the restaurant to claim our merienda.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Tables are sanitized.
Area is overlooking Laguna Bay.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

There are two package options for day tours.

One is this, and the other more expensive one is a rice meal. We opted for this 'cause we wanted to eat somewhere in Sumulong Highway but yeah, we weren't able to do that since this was on a Friday and we noticed that most restaurants were packed that night.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Laguna Bay

After eating, we walked around again. We went back to the hydro-massage and infinity pools.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

More and more people were going to the infinity pool so we decided to head back to this pool were we stayed until around 5 PM.

Take note, btw, that the water here is very cold. We tried staying by the ledge but we were both shivering while talking. We then stayed near the pool stairs and sat with only our feet soaked and it was more bearable.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

Dipped at the jacuzzi again before going back to the locker room.

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

La.... LabView! 😂❤️

Lujetta Hanging Gardens and Spa 2021

We shall be back for you again, Luljetta's Place.

Book Yours Here: Luljetta's Hanging Gardens Spa Day Pass

This is near Cafe Agusta. Babalik dapat kami doon but it was past sunset when we left Luljetta so we opted for an overlooking restaurant along Sumulong Highway pero marami rin tao kaya wala rin. K lang. K lang.

Seoul, South Korea: World Cup Park

The funny thing about travelling during this pandemic is how paranoid we are at the sight of a crowd. It's usual for me to travel to places that are not packed with people but it feels different now. Parang something's always there but there's nothing. Also, parang feeling that nothing's there but there is pala. AHAHAHAH. Kita mo. Kagulo! Praning!

This is "home" in San Diego, California. From here, it takes 4 1/2 hours to get to Las Vegas Strip, Nevada via Interstate-15. That's around 329 miles or 540 km. I researched and according to Google maps, my house in Quezon City to Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is around 567 km. Haha! Tinatamad lang ako i-search.

Since this is a "road trip,"  let's choose a song that we'll listen on loop until it feels like torture.

For California - Nevada, I choose "Are you gonna be my girl?" by Jet. Why? This is one of the songs I remember from the movie, " What Happens in Vegas"  hahahaha e syempre kasi excited ako kaya nanood ako ng movies na na-shoot sa Vegas dati tas ito 'yung isa sa tumatak sa isip ko.

Pag naririnig ko 'to at naalala ko 'yung Primm, feels like Las Vegas 2016 all over again. Lam mo 'yon. hahahahahahahahaha. Muntanga, noh? I associate songs to places I've gone to. Parang nasa music video.😂 And for this particular song, those are funny memories kaya hahahahahahahahahaha. 🤭

USA 2016 SOJOURN

Going back to the road trip...

Las Vegas Strip is just a small part of the state of Nevada but it's the most famous resort area there. There are other Resort Areas and National Parks that can be of interest though such as Reno, Laughlin, Lake Tahoe and many more. Most of the places I've gone to in 2016 are indexed in the link above, while most of the places I visited in 2019 are yet to find their way to this blog. Sipag yern? HAHAHA

There are three stop over options (that I know of) that you'll be passing through along the Interstate 15 on the way to Vegas.

Barstow - this was the stop over we frequented mainly because there's a Walmart and we buy food there on the way to California.
Baker - I have a photo of the world's largest thermometer in this area but I haven't stopped there yet.
Primm - This area is where I lived. This was home to me but a stop-over for most people since there's a mall, gasoline station, three hotels in the area aside from our apartment complex. It takes around an hour to get to the town from here.

Death Valley National Park is located both in California and Nevada (along the stateline). There's an access road along this highway (I-15) but the one we drove through when we went there was the one in Pahrump cause we wanted to see the road that leads to Lake Tahoe.

Death Valley National Park
#1: Twenty Mule Team Canyon Outlook
#2: Zabriskie Point
#3: Badwater Basin/ Lowest Point in North America
#4: Dante's View and Artist Drive
#5: Sandstorm/ Haboob at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes

[Klook Link] Death Valley Small Group Day Tour from Las Vegas

This is the largest thermometer in the world in Baker, California. It can get really hot in Vegas since it's in the middle of the desert and there's not a lot of vegetation so I think, this thermometer is a great addition just so you'd have an idea about what kind of heat you're getting yourself into that day.

In the movie "A Walk to Remember," one of Jamie's bucket list is to be in two places at once. This place, btw, is one of the borders of Nevada and California. During my first few days in the States last 2016, I met a friend who taught me that the interstate line is somewhere here.

After singing "Someday We'll Know" I was told, "You're now in two places at once."

Lottery is not legal in Nevada but just walk across that line to California and there's a Lotto Outlet. Tuwang tuwa na ko sa little discovery ko that time. Na ganon lang pala 'yung interstate borders. HAHAHA!

Home.
No matter how much time passes
That's what you will always be to me
Home. ❤️

I'll be back for you someday. ❤️

After our Las Vegas adventures.
We drove back to San Diego

Clark County, Nevada, USA: Pitstop at Nelson Ghost Town

Las Vegas, Nevada USA: Target Shooting in the Desert

Searchlight, Nevada USA: Nelson's Landing Cliff Jumping Site

I've yet to post the other places I've visited in LV. Soon, soon. I don't know lang how soon.

Road back to California

This road (interstate highway) is visible from the laundry room in my apartment complex before and this looks so beautiful at night. The mountains are dark with lights from passing cars. I've always wondered what it felt like to drive out of there and now, look, I don't even remember how many times I passed through the highway.

Zabriskie Point, Death Valley National Park, Nevada

USA 2016: See You Again, Love - Las Vegas, Nevada

USA 2019: I Am Back, Love - Las Vegas, Nevada

I wrote these articles and while I was reading them, it was as if they were written by two different persons. I've already made a post about this when I posted my solo travel in Busan photodump but the difference between 2016 and 2019 was obtained through growth and acceptance. I wanted to cling to whatever was there in 2016 that's why it pained me terribly that I were to leave. During 2019, I've accepted that Las Vegas is "my home" and it will always be but then it's not someplace that I were to stay at for long. I'm very thankful for the opportunity to be able to travel back there but no more tears were shed upon departure. Just a heart that's looking forward to visiting there again someday.

I want to repost a part of my Busan photodump, "I realized that I didn't cry 'cause I didn't want to leave. I cried for the freedom and strength I thought I was losing once I go back to the Philippines. I didn't realize immediately that the independence and strength were with me all along since then - they became part of my identity."

I hope you're doing well. 😊

Spending a day in Manila wasn't something I'd blog about in the past few years but since this was after more than half a year of home quarantine - this deserves a post.

Let Your plans be my plans even especially when I don't understand.
Thank You. 💖

This was a day before the Feast of the Black Nazarine that's why Plaza Miranda and the Quiapo Church has a crowd.

I longed for this afternoon.
Even if we didn't stay until sunset.
I longed for a walk near a body of water.

This is the feeling of having the whole baywalk to ourselves for several minutes. HAHA! Good for mental health ba dyan, Sis? 😜

While it felt weird since the baywalk I know has always been crowded, not having other people around was appreciated 'cause it felt safer. As I was looking at the picture, someone was there with us pala. Nasa right most ng photo.

#kulotnotsalot.
HAHAHA.

One year+ in this CGM Journey.

There are some parking spaces in front of bay walk.

We looked for an empty slot and paid 50.00. I don't know if that was a flat rate since Ate asked us where we were going before telling us the parking fee. She handed us a receipt from the local government anyway so parking there was legal. lol

I've gone back here a few years ago when the Planetarium opened and was actually planning to visit the new museum too but never had the chance yet. I'm pretty sure museums are not operating up to this day so a trip would have to wait for until no one knows when. 😟

I'm just happy I get to go out these days even if I get paranoid at the sight of people without adequate social distance between them.

Only few parking slots in front of SSC so I think it's better to go there during off peak hours. We were lucky that the guard from a nearby building allowed us to park.

This cuisine is something I can't recreate at home because I don't have the spices but also something that I've been craving for the past months eversince I watched that video of Mark making kebab sticks at his house in Bangkok.

The price point is on the affordable side. The serving is huge and the taste is authentic. If we would ever find ourselves going back there, we would make sure we're hungry enough so we can try a rice meal such as shawarma rice, biryani, or kabsa. My order was beef kebab with hummus and my companion's was beef kebab with fries.

Kebab was juicy and was perfectly charred. Pita bread was not sweet, soft but a bit crunchy on the outside. I looooove their hummus too. I would've ordered a take-out (of the hummus) if we were heading straight home but we still had to go somewhere after this meal. The white sauce wasn't too garlicky. I kept putting the sauce at every bite since it wasn't overpowering and not nakakaumay. I couldn't pinpoint if it was yogurt, mayo, or sour cream but the combination of those made this wrap a lot more delicious that it already is considering that the hummus already "binded" the taste of the different spices.

My companion pointed out that to some people who are used to the adjusted-to-Filipino-palate-kebab-and-shawarma, this is a hit or miss. I understand where he's coming from because there were some spices that you can't taste in most of the shawarmas we have here and they can be an acquired taste. But for someone who's looking for an Authentic Mediterranean Restaurant? Shawarma Snack Center would definitely not disappoint.

We were going down the escalator when I heard, "Bhie, si bb." I was like, "Huh?" I looked around and then I saw that familiar face sending a finger heart my way... Gosh! Hello, bb!!! HAHAHA!

I looked at the different make-up products but I didn't purchase any since I don't wear make-up. Even lipstick nga, wala na.

Park Seo Joon

Sorry, Seo Joon but I can't support you this time. HAHAHA!

Just a photo of me looking at the Seo Joon freebies that come with the make-up set of BYS. 😂

This day brought me back to the those simple times when a free day is synonymous to a 500-peso challenge day trip. Good times. Good times. I've been going away for too long and too far that I forgot a simple walk like this along Manila Bay is enough to keep me happy and to satisfy my wanderlust.

During trying times like this, I'm very thankful that I still get to breathe and relax somehow. Life is already difficult and the pandemic has made it even more difficult for the most of us.

Hang in there, buddy.
For the meantime, let's try to find those simple happiness that will make us want to continue.

Wishing you enough.

My Sky Ranch post was way back 2013 and it was in 2014 when I made the compilation of the must-visit places in Tagaytay. A lot of things have changed since then and the ridge is way more crowded now (January 2021, may COVID/ pandemic pa rin). I still went to Tagaytay in the past few years but I don't think I've blogged about my visits, ngayon lang ulit 'cause, you know, pandemic and na sabik gumala. HAHAHA!

I know that the ideal thing to do is to stay home but we felt that we really needed this getaway. We're home on most days naman at umiwas naman kami sa tao...

I heard some hotels require swab tests upon check in but I'm not sure what those hotels are and that it already gets congested there during weekends.

We stayed in an Airbnb room in a condominium near the Rotunda. We weren't asked to submit any health certificate or tests, just valid ID's. Didn't sightsee that much - sa Palace in the Sky lang and sa kalsada nag lakad lang nung medyo gabi na. Hangin ng Tagaytay lang sapat na, ganon. 😂 Ni-feel lang mostly ang breeze from the small veranda of our rented room.

Strawberry Taho outside the Palace in the Sky was a pleasant surprise. 😍

Grateful. ❤
Hindi pa normal at may pandemic pa, but still.

'Yung maaga pa pero halos sarado na lahat. Okay lang. Masaya naman maglakad habang umiinom ng hot chocolate galing sa McDonald's hanggang sa maalala niyong bawal nga pala 'yon dahil kailangan naka-facemask sa kalsada. Kk, wala naman ibang tao. Nakakamiss talaga ang hangin sa mga ganitong lugar. Malamig lamig na rin naman sa Quezon City pero iba pa rin eh.

Btw, there are currently a lot of condominiums that you can choose from but we opted for this one 'cause this is quite far from most tourist attractions but near restaurants, fast food chains, souvenir shops, free Taal overlook spot, and a mall. The room we rented came with a parking spot/slot but we just walked around the whole time aside from the Palace in the Sky which we visited before checking in.

That's it. HAHAHAHA. Char lang. Or not.

During the Geminids Meteor shower last December, I was asked if I wanted to stargaze here since out of town is a better place to watch it but I couldn't that time. Made sure that we still pushed through the plan 'cause ang mga magagandang balak ay tinutupad so here it is. Couldn't let go of the idea of Tagaytay after it was mentioned to me so better to be late than never. hahaha

I don't know kung anong pangalan ng hi-way pero 'yan 'yung diretso na dumadaan sa Palace in the Sky, Picnic Grove, etc.

This is enough for me, tbh.

I don't know if mas matanda na kasi (meaning wala ng energy masyado gumala... WEHHH) or 'cause I've been there for countless times that I don't mind if I don't enter the paid tourist attractions anymore. Sapat na 'yung good food, fun company, and cool Tagaytay breeze.

Basta for now, I'll choose a cold quiet morning with a hot green tea over anything else.

Seoul, South Korea: Kdrama Winter Night at Seonggwak Park and Seoul Fortress

Provinces are easing up on the travel restrictions and tourism activities/business are slowly opening again but we all know that COVID is still here so let's still be careful when going out. The reason why I feel torn whenever I post recent travels now is 'cause I don't know if it's proper to promote "going out" when the best way to stop the virus from spreading and the safest way to prevent yourself from acquiring the virus is to stay home. But then again, businesses relying in Tourism and Hospitality are one of the badly affected and "supporting" them is the only way to keep businesses afloat in this trying times.

Going out has its pros and cons. There are risks. I'm not saying that we should all go out now but I felt like I earned this after staying home for more than half a year. huhuhu. I still feel paranoid and nervous especially when there are a lot of people in sight but sometimes there are things we do that outweigh the risks.

What do I bring whenever I go out these days?

My pandemic travel essentials: oil blotting paper, facial tissue, disposeable facemask, face shield, alcohol spray bottle, hand cream, lip balm, and hand wash.

For longer "travel": drinking water and wet wipes.

Let's all practice proper hygiene and follow the health safety protocols.
Please be safe.

First post in this blog for this year goes to Paris!!

Happy New Year!!!

The Parisian Macao labas for the Eiffel Tower replica. Hahaha!

Watching Emily in Paris and Amélie kinda re-ignited my Parisian/Europe dreams. 🤣

It will take years before I'd get there and I don't even know if this lifetime will allow me to pero kk, bahala na.

This was taken during the first time I went to Macau. I went there in 2018 and in 2019. Both trips I was not able to upload entirely here, kapag di ko pa natapos lahat ngayong 2021, ewan ko na lang.

I've decided to upload my backlogs just so I'd have things to post apart from my life updates that no one is asking for.

Cotai Strip 💗

I can't remember which hotel did we take this photo from but there was a queue when we passed by so we fell in line too. Inggitera lang. haha!

[Klook Link] Macau Eiffel Tower at the Parisian Macao Observation Deck Ticket

(4D4N) Macau Travel Itinerary; 'Cause it's more than a day tour

It's impossible to miss this spot when travelling to Macao, specifically in Cotai Strip since it stands out. It's actually much better to have photos taken here than the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas since this is less crowded. Even the establishments - wider 'yung spaces between.

Second time in Macau.

What it looks like behind the photo. Hahaha!

May there be an Eiffel Tower/ France/ Totoong Europe moments in this lifetime someday. 💝

There's a light and sound show at night and you can also go up this Eiffel Tower since they have an observation deck. There's also a souvenir shop near the entrance of the observation deck where you can get souvenirs that will remind you somehow of Macau and Paris.

Just that when we were deciding which activity to do, we opted for the Ferris Wheel in Studio City which I'll be posting here soon as well.

Did not have a lot of time to walk around inside the Parisian, we just ate our dinner in their food court then went out again.

Nice to see the growth of my hair from March 2018 to July 2019 with one haircut between. Gives me hope na hindi na mauulit my five haircuts ng November 2019 - November 2020. HAHAHA!

Jusko, Tintin 2021++. 😂

Curlversary Update ❤️
